Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As Christians or human, every negative life experience permitted by God is not to kill us, but to make us a better person according to the will of God. But the way you handle the storms determines how long you will stay in the jungle of afflictions. The storms of life do not have regards for your complexion, height, financial buoyancy, class, education level. As great as America is, it is experiencing storms. Nigeria, the giant of Africa is experiencing storms. China, a nation of great people and economy is experiencing storms. Presidents of nations are crying because of different type of storms facing them. Governors, Federal Government Ministers, Senators, and Commissioners are experiencing storms of life.God said to me in the place of prayers that 'physically, there is no hamlet, village, town, city, nation where people do not experience storms or strange wind, as it is physically, so it is spiritually'.Storms of life are inevitable, unavoidable, and inescapable; even Jesus the son of the living God who came to this world to be the son of man experienced storms and overcame it. Storms of life are part of the world, the world is full of troubles, the world itself is full of darkness and the world is full of ungodly men and women that could spark up troubles. That is why Jesus said in John 16:33These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Whether you are a Christian or unbeliever, as long as you are in the world you cannot escape storm. The only set of people that cannot experience storms are the triumphant saints (Christians who have gone to be with the Lord). In Matthew 8:23, the disciples were following Jesus into the ship on a certain day and, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea... though the disciples followed Him and in the same ship with Him yet tempest arose, that tells us that Christians are not exempted from storms of life but as a Christian, you are not permitted to die in the storms of life. The battles or challenges of life that will kill unbelievers will be promotion to Christians. I pray for you today the storms of life will not swallow you up, you will not die in the battle of life in the mighty name of Jesus. Every insurmountable mountain, receive grace to surmount them in Jesus name.Beloved, there are multiple assurances from the word of God that you will not die in these very storms (afflictions) of life. They will not see your end. Hear God's voice againMany are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken. Psalms 34:19-20When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. Isaiah 43:2.Your reaction to the storms of life will determine how long you will stay in it. When you react to the storms of your life the way the disciples reacted, you will come out of it easily. And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish because that was one of the Jesus' assignments on earth as prophesied by King David in Psalms 89:9Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.YOU ARE BLESSED!

In Beyond the Storm, Debra Morton reveals why, providing the techniques and strategies that helped her and many others not only survive but also thrive, even in the most painful of circumstances. While ministering to victims of Hurricane Katrina and grieving the death of her granddaughter, Morton realized that the key to pushing forward in the midst of setbacks was having a defined set of coping skills. That playbook is here for you to use immediately, along with interactive tools, journaling questions, and scripture studies that will guide you through pain and struggle and into strength and victory once again. Book excerpt: Finalist for the Lincoln Prize! Traditional histories of the Civil War describe the conflict as a war between North and South. Kenneth W. Noe suggests it should instead be understood as a war between the North, the South, and the weather. In The Howling Storm, Noe retells the history of the conflagration with a focus on the ways in which weather and climate shaped the outcomes of battles and campaigns. He further contends that events such as floods and droughts affecting the Confederate home front constricted soldiers’ food supply, lowered morale, and undercut the government’s efforts to boost nationalist sentiment. By contrast, the superior equipment and open supply lines enjoyed by Union soldiers enabled them to cope successfully with the South’s extreme conditions and, ultimately, secure victory in 1865. Climate conditions during the war proved unusual, as irregular phenomena such as El Niño, La Niña, and similar oscillations in the Atlantic Ocean disrupted weather patterns across southern states. Taking into account these meteorological events, Noe rethinks conventional explanations of battlefield victories and losses, compelling historians to reconsider long-held conclusions about the war. Unlike past studies that fault inflation, taxation, and logistical problems for the Confederate defeat, his work considers how soldiers and civilians dealt with floods and droughts that beset areas of the South in 1862, 1863, and 1864. In doing so, he addresses the foundational causes that forced Richmond to make difficult and sometimes disastrous decisions when prioritizing the feeding of the home front or the front lines. The Howling Storm stands as the first comprehensive examination of weather and climate during the Civil War. Its approach, coverage, and conclusions are certain to reshape the field of Civil War studies.

Download or read book Victory in the Storm written by Butch Dias and published by Xlibris Us. This book was released on 2022-05-04 with total page 108 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Victory in The Storm "Fighting the good fight of faith." 1 Timothy 6:12A KJV Victory in The Storm is an exciting and inspirational book that will help you through your fight with cancer or any illness. What you learn in this book will build up your faith and strengthen you as you heal. What I wrote is what I learned after the doctors wanted to pull the plug on me. What I wrote here is how I was able to inspire others as I got my healing victory. My prayer as you read this inspirational book is that it will build up your faith. As you read this book. I pray you will build up an expectancy and an atmosphere for miracles. As your faith increases, you will be stirred up and you will get your breakthrough. Another place you can build up your faith is by reading the Bible. Romans 10:17 ESV says, "So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ." I once was in ICU for 37 days, 10 of them in a coma. The doctors gave me little hope. Several times they asked my family to pull the plug on me. The doctors gave me a death sentence, but God gave me a life sentence. He always has the final say. God said "your time, Butch Dias, is not up. You need to tell the world of My story." I had to make a conscious choice not to listen to the doctor's report. I read my Bible and researched every healing scripture there was in it. I spent time memorizing them and praying them over myself. I had many Bible believing friends that stuck with me and encouraged me, and prayed me through the bad days. I would learn to stand on the Word of God and in tougher times, stand more. I was blessed to have a great support system. People prayed relentlessly for me. They had "Pit Bull" faith. They would not let go of my healing promises. Miracle after miracle happened and I had to step out in faith to survive. The more I stepped out in faith, the more I got well. I learned that baby steps were still steps forward. Baby steps were just building blocks of faith. This book was written with the love and compassion to help hurting people with what I learned. This is how I found victory for my situation. Sometimes you have to position yourself to receive. A tight end in football has to run the right route to be able to receive the pass from the quarterback. He has to position himself to receive the ball or he will never get his touchdown. By releasing our faith we can create an atmosphere to receive our miracle. Praying for your miracle today and believing for your healing. Sincerely yours in Christ, Butch Dias Matthew 14:12 NASB, "When He went ashore, He saw a large crowd, and felt compassion for them and healed their sick."
