Book From Victim to Victory

Download or read book From Victim to Victory written by Gary Schulz and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2012-11 with total page 154 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: n this world of sin, we all struggle with security, fear, acceptance, and joy. We are all subject to potential physical, situational or emotional harm from others. It’s a competitive world. Peaceful and loving homes with godly parents who love each other are rare. The home has become a place for the greatest harm. Everyone has to survive somehow. Some have good jobs and money, some do not. Some get all the breaks in life, and some come up short. Some succeed and some fail. Some are accepted, and some are rejected. Do you view yourself as a victim? Do you see yourself as deserving special treatment because of your victim status? On the other hand, do you see yourself as victorious? What does it mean to be victorious? And how does one obtain victory, especially when he already sees himself as the victim of those who are stronger? Are you your greatest enemy? Are you a victim of your own view of yourself? Is a victim status a choice? Is victory a choice? Jesus said the truth would set us free. Learn to seek victorious freedom through Jesus Christ.

Book Victim Victorious

Download or read book Victim Victorious written by Marie-Claire Patron and published by Nova Science Publishers. This book was released on 2015 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The world is peopled by victims; everyone has a story. However, victimhood is just the beginning of the story. This book is about the endings of at least some of those stories, the stories of victims who strive to overcome and even triumph in the end. This book is a collection of research perspectives and personal stories exploring the various pathways for overcoming victimhood. It is hoped that they might offer an inspiration for others and encourage others to stay on the path to find a positive ending. Victim Victorious is an examination of the ways in which victims come to rise above the challenges that they face. Victims may be innocent bystanders, and in no way responsible for their victimhood. Nonetheless, they can -- and indeed we argue need to -- take responsibility for finding a personal solution. To assist in this task, this book chronicles the pathway of prejudice and how the pain and the damage experienced by individual victims may be overcome by effort, by and on their own behalf. The first half of the book features outsider views of victimhood. A range of professionals, philosophers, psychologists, criminologists and critical theorists offer their thoughts on how people might overcome victimhood. The second half of the book features insider views of victimhood; in this section, the victims speak for themselves about their experience and how they have endeavoured to break through their victimhood. This book is less about identifying and proscribing the behaviours of perpetrators and more about the efforts that victims can undertake to heal themselves as they journey towards resilience and victory.

Victimization happens in the fallen, earthly world we live in. Or you may have just learned how to be a victim from your mother...one of the most powerful relationships that we have. However you have become a victim isn't where you want to live. Being a victim can become our identity. Then we live limited, miserable, low quality lives. God wants us to live victoriously! He wants us to overcome our limited sense of self sometimes even molded by other people. He wants us to know who we are in Christ: our identity in Christ. We are victors, not victims! In Victim to Victor you will learn some tools you can use in your healing journey to becoming a victor in Christ. You will learn the importance of prayer, journaling, support groups and more - tools that you can grab a hold of for yourself. Then, with God's help, you too can learn to live victoriously. You will learn to stand on your own, assert yourself on your own behalf, understand more deeply the power of quality choice making, and hope. You too can become a victor in Christ - overcoming the victim mentality and identity by entrusting your healing journey to God's care. Then twenty years later hopefully you too can look back and see how far you've grown. You'll be grateful you did! Book From a Caterpillar to a Butterfly the Transformation from Victim to Victorious

Download or read book From a Caterpillar to a Butterfly the Transformation from Victim to Victorious written by Angel Power and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2022-03-13 with total page 504 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is the prequel to “The Darkness & The Light”, also by Angel Power. These are the stories that go with the poetry. It is creatively broken down into metaphorical phases of a young woman’s transformation. Based on a true story, except for one fictitious scene that was written for therapeutic purposes, it begins with the end and ends with the beginning. Candid and raw, it exposes the dark reality of her tragic experiences and shares how she found the resilience to survive and transform. It will take you on a journey through overcoming exploitation, abuse, human trafficking, addictions, poverty, mental health challenges, the loss of a child, and more. It will explain stigma and the corruption of the social systems that claim to protect the most vulnerable. This will enlighten the reader to systemic injustices and the impacts on our vulnerable youth when protection is needed most. There is often prejudice toward high-risk youth and the challenges they face, especially those trying to cope with unmet needs. This book will bring validation to the reader from young adult to the guardians trying to protect them, as well as those who work in the field of trying to help them. It exposes some of the power imbalances and barriers that many women of all ages can face. In these confusing and scary times, exploitation continues to be on the rise and stigma still exists. It is hoped that this book will empower the victimized to find healthy coping mechanisms and natural ways of self-healing. For those who wish to protect them it may also provide some insights into never giving up the good fight that it takes in order to do so.
