Book The Game Changer

Download or read book The Game Changer written by Jimmy Cave and published by Gatekeeper Press. This book was released on 2020-11-05 with total page 201 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The purpose of this book is to educate military members who are separating, retiring, active duty members, veterans and their loved ones on the process of how to file VA claims, VA appeals, and Social Security benefits. The goals in my book include: 1. How veterans and civilians must take ownership of their VA claims, Social Security and appeals. 2. How to successfully navigate the VA and Social Security system for disability benefits and appeals. 3. How to apply for VA disability, VA pension and Social Security. 4. Five-star medical evidence in medical records to help win disability claims and appeals. 5. How to get independent medical opinions (Nexus Letters) and diagnoses from private doctors for VA claims is a game changer for veterans. 6. How to keep your claim from being lost or sitting on the shelf. 7. How to speed up the process in disability claims for VA and Social Security. I have firsthand knowledge working at The Vet Center, Veterans Benefits Administration, And VA Medical Center. I have witnessed how veterans are being mistreated and neglected including myself. Many veterans wait years and some die while waiting to be eventually denied VA benefits. While working at Veterans Benefits Administration, I saw lazy Veterans Service Officers taking frequent long breaks and denying veterans to free up the workload off their desks. It took me 21 years fighting the VA Regional Office tooth and nail to get "permanent and total" status after appealing all denied claims to a judge in Washington, D.C. several times! Our veterans deserve better and that’s why I wrote this book to leave a legacy behind to help those who are feeling helpless, frustrated and lost in navigating the VA and Social Security systems.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Our American Heroes: The Stories behind the Fight for Freedom and DemocracyThis book is not about the author. This book is not about the battle. This book is about military members who are now veterans. Their memories are about some of the most legendary battles as well as their own private struggles. The recollections of these veterans cover an array of experiences around the world—one of the first female pilots in the U.S. Army Air Corps; a survivor of the Bataan Death March; POWs from WWII and Korea; an Ohio National Guardsman at Kent State; survivors, fighters, and patriots from Pearl Harbor, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Their families share their heroic stories of service to the world's freedom, as well as their frustration and disappointment with the VA bureaucracy or lack of information-sharing practices about their entitled benefits. The efforts of caregivers in enabling their veterans to have the best quality of life possible—spouses, mothers, children, guardians/fiduciaries, healthcare professionals, and the grandmother who had both her son and granddaughter deployed—speak volumes of their commitment and unconditional sacrifices. This collection of their stories is the author's continued privilege of serving the veterans who have enabled this great nation to stand guard in the world and assure the right to be free. Read on with respect and compassion.

Book The Veteran s Survival Guide

Download or read book The Veteran s Survival Guide written by John D. Roche and published by Potomac Books, Inc.. This book was released on 2006 with total page 426 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Claim denied!" All too often millions of veterans have received this response to their legitimate claims for federal benefits. In most cases, writes veterans' advocate John D. Roche, the claimant didn't understand the procedures needed to meet the myriad requirements of the Department of Veterans Affairs. With the appeals process requiring years to resolve disputes, deserving veterans and their dependents are left confused and frustrated by the agency and a system that was created to serve them. The answer is to submit a well-grounded claim initially, which The Veteran's Survival Guide, now in a revised, second edition, analyzes in detail. This unique book, written in an accessible self-help style, will be required reading for any veteran or veteran's dependent who wishes to obtain his or her well-earned benefits and for those officials of veterans' service organizations who assist veterans with their claims.
