Publicado como un sólo libro en 1924, Corydon está escrito en forma de cuatro diálogos socráticos con un personaje imaginario, llamado Corydon, el nombre de un pastor de las "Bucólicas" de Virgilio. El autor defiende las posturas convencionales de prevención, rechazo y desconfianza frente a la homosexualidad y obliga a Corydon a explicar sus razones y opiniones en detalle, que en realidad son las del propio Gide.
