It is a gift for better understanding to the believer in his walk and relationship with God. There should no longer be any confusion nor doubts about the mind of God concerning your life. Unlike the deception in the world today, God does care and has never left us alone. But we ought to be better informed about the virtues that easily attract his presence and turn our situation around for good. Divine healing is available, miracles are real, divine help is close by. God has not changed in his acts and his ways. That's why it is very important to understand the missing link. Ignorance will always deprive you. But only true understanding will connect to that supernatural life with the Living God.

Book Divine Visitations and Hospitality to Strangers in Luke Acts

Download or read book Divine Visitations and Hospitality to Strangers in Luke Acts written by Joshua W. Jipp and published by BRILL. This book was released on 2013-09-12 with total page 349 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This study presents a coherent interpretation of the Malta episode by arguing that Acts 28:1-10 narrates a theoxeny, that is, an account of unknowing hospitality to a god which results in the establishment of a fictive kinship relationship between the Maltese barbarians and Paul and his God. In light of the connection between hospitality and piety to the gods in the ancient Mediterranean, Luke ends his second volume in this manner to portray Gentile hospitality as the appropriate response to Paul’s message of God’s salvation -- a response that portrays them as hospitable exemplars within the Lukan narrative and contrasts them with the Roman Jews who reject Paul and his message.

Book Understanding The Divine Timing Of God

Download or read book Understanding The Divine Timing Of God written by Victor Owusu-Teng and published by XinXii. This book was released on 2015-11-01 with total page 40 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Some people have suffered severely for too long because they did not understand their time of divine visitation. It is imperative to understand that God’s timing does not synchronize with our chronological time frame. 'He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end' (Eccl 3:11). Therefore, understanding God’s divine timing, which is a precise time that God sets in His own calendar to intervene in our lives, is a key to dominion and victorious living. The author has provided us with empirical examples of people who experienced the power of God’s visitation in their lives, what they did to experience it and how we can live and experience the power of His divine timing at work in our lives. “Of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their command” (1 Chronicles 12:32).

Download or read book Beyond the Sphere written by Alfred Stefan Guart and published by Balboa Press. This book was released on 2020-04-08 with total page 101 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: People have reported encounters with God since the beginning of recorded history. Visitations gave rise to every major religion, influencing the hearts and minds of billions of believers. These powerful events are part of the human record, but it is unclear how accurate they are or how frequently they occur. However, reports from those who claim to have encountered Divinity are fairly consistent: There’s something unfathomable out there. Al Guart, a committed agnostic, diminished these accounts as possibly the result of overactive imaginations, mental illness, mythology or drugs – until the first of his unexpected encounters in 1980. He kept silent about his experiences over the past forty years, working to integrate them into daily life while trying to fathom how and why they happened. In this ground-breaking book, Al relives two Divine encounters in stark, journalistic detail. The first Visitation overwhelmed him with sheer jubilance, and the second – also imbued with joy – left him weeping as never before. Along the way, he takes a hard look at historical accounts of Divine appearances and challenges the renderings of God left in their wake. He offers the fruits of his spiritual inquiries for consideration but encourages readers to seek their own direct contact with the Creator - and to settle for nothing less.

Book The Problem of God Yesterday and Today

Download or read book The Problem of God Yesterday and Today written by John Courtney Murray and published by Yale University Press. This book was released on 1964-01-01 with total page 140 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In an urbane and persuasive tract for our time, the distinguished Catholic theologian combines a comprehensive metaphysics with a sensitivity to contemporary existentialist thought. Father Murray traces the “problem of God” from its origins in the Old Testament, through its development in the Christian Fathers and the definitive statement by Aquinas, to its denial by modern materialism. Students and nonspecialist intellectuals may both benefit by the book, which illuminates the problem of development of doctrine that is now, even more than in the days of Newman, a fundamental issue between Roman Catholic and Protestant, theologians and nonspecialst intellectuals alike will find the subject of vital interest. As a challenge to the ecumenical dialogue, the question is raised whether, in the course of its development through different phases, the problem of God has come back to its original position. Father Murray is Ordinary professor of theology at Woodstock College, Woodstock, Maryland. St. Thomas More Lectures, 1. "A gem of a book—lucid, illuminating, brilliantly written. A fine contribution to the current Catholic theological renaissance."—Paul Weiss.

Prior to standing on a cloud and viewing all of Heaven's beauty and glory, my answer would have been an emphatic no. However, I found myself standing on a fluffy, impenetrable white cloud, witnessing the beautiful holy city called Heaven, and then I saw Him. His face and garment radiated a supernatural brilliant light that was much brighter than the morning sun coming up over a horizon
