Book UNDERSTANDING AND GUIDING CATS ELIMINATION BEHAVIORS

Download or read book UNDERSTANDING AND GUIDING CATS ELIMINATION BEHAVIORS written by Claude Bois and published by Claude Bois. This book was released on 2020-01-02 with total page 124 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “UNDERSTANDING AND GUIDING CATS’ ELIMINATION BEHAVIORS” is part of Claude Bois’s book collection on cat litters, cat cleanliness, and cat training. Like the three other books (Litter Free, Toward Zero Waste Cats I, Toward Zero Waste Cats II) it starts with information about cats’ behavior when they choose an elimination place. It then explains cats’ learning capacity. Then, combining those two sets of knowledge, Claude presents a unique technique to guide cats, making sure they will be happy using their litter box. You will understand how to house-train kittens and outdoor cats. How to train your cat to use a new type of litter without any accident. How to move the litter to a new room, a new house, or go on vacation without undue stress or accident. Cat litter hacks and how to achieve super easy litter cleaning are explained. Cat litter granules vs pellets Cat litter granules (traditional) and natural cat pellets litter are presented with their respective advantages and inconveniences. Wood pellets vs vegetal pellets Within natural pellets litter for cats, we’ll see the differences between wood pellets litter and vegetal pellet litter. The case of alfalfa pellets is thoroughly analyzed. Wood pellets vs softwood pellets litter Within wood pellets litter we’ll see the importance of choosing the right variety; some are too hard (ordinary wood pellets made of hardwood), some contain toxic pine oil residue (regular pine pellets). You will see why only kiln-dried softwood pellets make great cat litter. Are you looking for lightweight cat litter, low dust cat litter, low tracking cat litter, natural cat litter, ecological cat litter, odor control cat litter, low price cat litter, cat litter you can flush, cat litter you don’t have to change? You will find independent objective information in this book. Sifting litter boxes and the right way to use them are explained in full detail. What you get is detailed information, grounded on ethology and first-hand experience. From the Back Cover This book explains: -How to prevent or solve uncleanliness and marking. -How cats learn and can be trained. -How to house-train kittens and outdoor cats. -How to achieve low-stress successful litter changes: the litter box, the substrate grains, the location (room or house move). -How to reduce ecological footprint using green pellets as cat litter. Finally, you will be able to combine your learnings to achieve your specific goals. Question and answer: Q: There is a section on how to use pellet litters and cat sifting pans. Aren't those products already coming with instructions? A: Alfalfa pellets are sold as food for rabbits. Low-priced softwood pellets are sold as horses’ bedding. There is no instruction on how to use these as litter for cats (or dogs). Moreover, alfalfa pellets should not be used in the same way as softwood pellets. Many people ignore that. For the cat sifting litter pans, some were intended to be used with clumping litter, and others were designed to be used with softwood pellets. Also, sifting pans intended for softwood pellets are often five times more expensive than the others. So, clever customers buy sifting pans intended for clumping litter and do some adjustments to use them with pellets. Then, they are so happy with the result that they post pictures in the customer review section. As a result, cats owners shopping for sifting pans end up seeing two different settings for one single product. Stacking the sifting litter pans as for softwood pellets, when using clumping litter, makes the litter stuck inside the sift. The opposite: stacking the sifting litter pans as for clumping litter, when using softwood pellets, spoils the pellets prematurely. I've read lots of customer reviews where people are complaining and confused. Many wrote they will throw everything. This is sad because using pellets, either alfalfa or softwood, is more ecological, in many ways, than mineral litter products. A clarification is necessary. ** To view videos and figure out which book of the collection is best for you, visit PetFriendsFreedom.com > pets > cats > cleanliness.
