Book Hierarchic Electrodynamics and Free Electron Lasers

Download or read book Hierarchic Electrodynamics and Free Electron Lasers written by Victor V. Kulish and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2018-09-03 with total page 678 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Hierarchic Electrodynamics and Free Electron Lasers: Concepts, Calculations, and Practical Applications presents intriguing new fundamental concepts in the phenomenon of hierarchical electrodynamics as a new direction in physics. Concentrating on the key theory of hierarchic oscillations and waves, this book focuses on the numerous applications of nonlinear theory in different types of high-current Free Electron Lasers (FEL), including their primary function in the calculation methods used to analyze various multi-resonant, multi-frequency nonlinear FEL models. This is considered the first book to: Completely and systematically describe the foundation of hierarchical electrodynamics as a new direction of physics Fully represent the physics of high-current FEL—and associated models—from the hierarchic oscillation wave perspective Cover the multi-harmonic nonlinear theory of new types of electronic devices, such as plasma-beam and two-stream FEL Formulate and substantiate the concept of cluster femtosecond FEL Analyze practical prospects for a new generation of a global "Star Wars" strategic defense systems These subjects involve a wide range of disciplines. Using numerous real-world examples to illustrate information and concepts, the book offers a mathematical foundation to explore FEL applications as well as analyze hierarchic plasma-like electrodynamic systems and femto-second clusters of electromagnetic energy. Assembling fragmented concepts from existing literature, the author re-examines classic approaches in order to develop new insights and achieve scientific breakthroughs.

Book Phase Transitions Of The Second Order Collective Variables Method

Download or read book Phase Transitions Of The Second Order Collective Variables Method written by I R Yukhnovs'kii and published by World Scientific Publishing Company. This book was released on 1987-10-01 with total page 342 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book gives an original and up-to-date theory of the second order phase transitions based on the effective functional integral method. Unlike previous works, this theory is constructed ab initio, leading to a consistent description starting from the basic principles of statistical physics. The author introduces a new basic density measure, different from the Gaussian one, to describe the fluctuation in the system in the vicinity of the phase transition point. A new efficient method for partition function integration over the phase space layers is shown, as well as complete solutions of the recursion relations. For the first time, equations are found for the critical temperature and analytical calculations are accompanied by accurate numerical computations. The extensions of the theory for the cases of binary alloys and n-component Stanley model are considered and the collective variables representation for the cluster ferroelectric model are obtained. This modern theory of the phenomena at the second order phase transitions is a breakthrough in this area and would make an exceptionally valuable book for scientists, as well as an important textbook for postgraduates and undergraduates.

Book National Security Drivers of Ukraine

Download or read book National Security Drivers of Ukraine written by Oleksandr Radchenko and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2023-09-07 with total page 315 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume presents the key informational, communication, and socio-political drivers of the Ukrainian state's national security. Since the beginning of the third millennium, there has been an aggravation of global inter-civilizational confrontations, which in 2022 has already resulted in an open military aggression against Ukraine. The hybrid wars against the world of democracy have put ensuring the national security of states on the front pages of world and national agendas. Using the example of Ukraine, the book demonstrates how, in order to achieve their geopolitical interests, authoritarian regimes incite information wars as a prerequisite for the transition to an armed "hot" war. It further shows how these processes actualize the formation of a fundamentally new state policy to ensure information and, more broadly, national security. The book identifies the main threats to national security in modern states and identifies ways of protecting Ukraine's national interests. The book will appeal to scholars, students, and researchers of political science, international relations, social sciences, and neighboring disciplines, as well as practitioners and policy-makers interested in a better understanding of national security drivers and protecting national interests.

Book The Optical Properties and Radiation Stability of Metal Oxide Powders Modified with Nanoparticles

Download or read book The Optical Properties and Radiation Stability of Metal Oxide Powders Modified with Nanoparticles written by Mikhail Mikhailov and published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing. This book was released on 2023-05-25 with total page 298 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book is focused on the nanoparticle-based modification of micron-size ZnO, TiO2, ZrO2, Al2O3, CeO2, and Y2O3 oxide powders and BaSO4, BaTiZrO3, and LaSrMnO3 solid solutions applied for enamels, paints, construction materials, ceramics, and electric insulators. It presents the results of studies of the grain size distribution, phase composition, structure, optical properties, and physical processes that occur in micropowders modified with ZnO, TiO2, ZrO2, Al2O3, CeO2, Y2O3, SiO2, ZrO2/Y2O3, and Al2O3/CeO2 nanoparticles and subsequently irradiated with accelerated electrons and protons. The text will be helpful to researchers, engineers, structural developers, postgraduates, master’s students, and undergraduate students who study the processes that occur during the synthesis and modification of inorganic powders with nanoparticles of various oxides differing in the size and type of cations, in their mass and charge, and in the size and surface area of nanoparticles per se.

Book Geometry Of Quantum Potential The Entropic Information Of The Vacuum

Download or read book Geometry Of Quantum Potential The Entropic Information Of The Vacuum written by Davide Fiscaletti and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 2018-03-06 with total page 344 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In virtue of its features, Bohm's quantum potential introduces interesting and relevant perspectives towards a satisfactory geometrodynamic description of quantum processes. This book makes a comprehensive state-of-the-art review of some of the most significant elements and results about the geometrodynamic picture determined by the quantum potential in various contexts. Above all, the book explores the perspectives about the fundamental arena subtended by the quantum potential, the link between the geometry associated to the quantum potential and a fundamental quantum vacuum. After an analysis of the geometry subtended by the quantum potential in the different fields of quantum physics (the non-relativistic domain, the relativistic domain, the relativistic quantum field theory, the quantum gravity domain and the canonical quantum cosmology), in the second part of the book, a recent interpretation of Bohm's quantum potential in terms of a more fundamental entity called quantum entropy, the approach of the symmetryzed quantum potential and the link between quantum potential and quantum vacuum are analysed, also in the light of the results obtained by the author.
