Book excerpt: Une révision récente des spécifications chimiques de l'eau du circuit secondaire des centrales nucléaires à réacteurs à eau pressurisée (REP) autorise l'augmentation de la concentration d'hydrazine afin de se prémunir de la corrosion sous contrainte des alliages de nickel constituant le faisceau tubulaire des générateurs de vapeur (GV). Cette étude vise à examiner l'influence d'un tel environnement réducteur sur le comportement des composants internes des générateurs de vapeur. La première partie de ce travail est consacrée à une étude bibliographique de la corrosion de ces matériaux accélérée par l'écoulement (phénomène dit de corrosion-érosion) et des propriétés physico-chimique de l'hydrazine dans le contexte considéré. Plusieurs tests ont été réalisés en boucle d'essai dans les conditions thermohydrauliques et chimiques proches de celles existantes dans le générateur de vapeur, en vue d'examiner l'influence de l'hydrazine sur la vitesse de corrosion-érosion et sur les potentiels électrochimiques. Les résultats montrent une évolution particulière de la vitesse de corrosion-érosion en fonction de la concentration en hydrazine (courbe en "cloche"). Afin d'interpréter les variations de comportement observées, les couches d'oxydes formées au cours des essais de corrosion ont été analysées et caractérisées au moyen de différentes techniques complémentaires (DRX, MEB, SDL, LEEIXS, AFM, CEMS, SIE). Une couche de magnétite d'épaisseur quasiment constante a été mise en évidence. Les variations de la topographie de surface et de la porosité de l'oxyde ont été reliées à l'influence de l'hydrazine sue la solubilité de l'oxyde. Un mécanisme de la corrosion-érosion dans les milieux réducteurs est alors proposé. Il permet d'interpréter les principaux résultats expérimentaux de ce travail. Enfin, le modèle associé à ce processus est appliqué pour prédire les cinétiques de dégradation des internes des générateurs de vapeur et pour définir le conditionnement chimique de l'eau du circuit secondaire des centrales REP le plus favorable vis-à-vis de la corrosion-érosion.
