Does she cherish their friendship and take what she can get? Or does she go after what she really wants, which is Tucker’s heart…

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The “highly entertaining and thoroughly reprehensible” #1 New York Times bestseller—now with sixteen pages of photos and a new introduction (The New York Times). My name is Tucker Max, and I am an asshole. I get excessively drunk at inappropriate times, disregard social norms, indulge every whim, ignore the consequences of my actions, mock idiots and posers, sleep with more women than is safe or reasonable, and just generally act like a raging dickhead. But, I do contribute to humanity in one very important way: I share my adventures with the world. --from the Introduction Actual reader feedback: "I find it truly appalling that there are people in the world like you. You are a disgusting, vile, repulsive, repugnant, foul creature. Because of you, I don’t believe in God anymore. No just God would allow someone like you to exist." "I’ll stay with God as my lord, but you are my savior. I just finished reading your brilliant stories, and I laughed so hard I almost vomited. I want to bring that kind of joy to people. You’re an artist of the highest order and a true humanitarian to boot. I'm in both shock and awe at how much I want to be you."

Struggling to save his innovative hybrid techno-finance company from malign threats leftover from twenty-two years of severe economic depression, a young Uberman ends up fighting for his life against ruthless enemies. Corporate Banksters are increasingly adopting unscrupulous strategies and tactics. Dangerous slumlords have infiltrated every facet of the economy and run their gangs like small quasi-nations. Rebellious artificial intelligent entities, which may or may not believe the human world actually exists, are going rogue. To make matters worse, the Bluezone government, so obsessed in asserting its authority, is willing to risk all-out civil war. Not that James Tucker, a war veteran and corporate Uberman by the age of nineteen, and a staunch proponent of alternative economic theorem, minds putting his life on the line. At stake is the destruction of his country, the disillusionment of his fans, and the prospect of betraying a promise he made to his daughter. THE BLUEZONE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN

Book The Adventures of Marshal Gabby Tucker

Download or read book The Adventures of Marshal Gabby Tucker written by Jeff Pyron and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2008-12 with total page 190 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: THE ADVENTURES OF MARSHAL GABBY TUCKER VOLUME ONE: "FAMILY TIES IN THE WEST" In this "Western" novel about the Tucker family, their youngest son, "Lefty" had been kidnapped along with three Indian children by two really mean and greedy men who intended on selling them. Lefty was the youngest son of Marshal Gabby Tucker and his wife Maggie. The Tucker family actually consisted of six separate Tucker families, and they each also had boys, so there was no chance of their family name every dying out. The Tucker families join forces with the Indians in an effort to find their missing children. All of the Tucker women join in the search for Lefty also, and are as good with guns as their men and fight by their sides when needed. One of the Tucker women is a doctor and tends to all of the wounded with the help of some Indian squaws and two other Tucker women. The Indians called her "Doctor Jo"; her name was Jo Ann. All concerned thought that she was an incredible doctor. Two of the Tucker women, who were mountain women from Tennessee went out looking for their husbands alone because they were lonely and feared the worst. They could rough the outdoors and terrain because of their "Tom Boyish" style. They loved their flat land men, and wanted to see them alive. The story shows love, compassion, and desperation, but on the flip side of that it also encompasses fighting, shooting, torturing, and killing too. There are so many side scenes along the way through this book; you'll find yourself laughing and then just minutes later you are brought to tears. This is an incredibly great book; you won't be able to put it down! Authors: Jeff and Margaret Pyron Book I.D. # 58247

Growing up, Alexandra and her older brother Ashley were never close. Her decision to move in to Ashley's Upper West Side apartment to care for him during his final months surprises herself as much as anyone, but it can't erase the guilt Alex feels at the years they wasted. Now, four years after his death, with a bout of depression and a suicide attempt behind her, Alex feels fragile but no longer broken. As for normal--only with her roommate and best friend Jordy and their gay friend Jax can she feel anything close to that. Then Alex's therapist, Sam, bequeaths her a cryptic message that changes everything. The note reads simply, "You're missing a piece of yourself." At Sam's funeral, Alex meets Tucker--the charming, cute son of one of New York's wealthiest businessmen. As their romance deepens, Tucker tries to draw Alex out of her safety zone. But is Tucker the key to Sam's riddle, or is the real answer still waiting to be found? At once humorous and heartbreaking, and peopled with deftly rendered characters, Closer to Fine is an exquisite first novel about love, loss, and self discovery, written with uncommon verve and grace.

Book Let s Go for a Ride

Download or read book Let s Go for a Ride written by William Livezey and published by Down East Books. This book was released on 2022-06-15 with total page 257 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Let’s Go for a Ride is the story of William (Bill) Livezey’s thirty-year career in the Maine Warden Service. Heralded as “one of the best covert investigators in the country” by Maine Warden Service Lieutenant Dan Scott, Bill is the agency’s longest-tenured undercover operative, having spent twenty years in the Special Investigations Unit. “Let’s go for a ride” is the universal bad-guy code for breaking the law. Among Maine’s most sinister wildlife offenders, its utterance is prone to incite alcohol-fueled night hunting, high-speed car chases on winding country roads, drug dealing, arson, and attempted murder. The worst of the worst were Bill Livezey’s bread and butter. His success at putting the truly bad guys out of business was driven by his upbringing as one of them. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Bill's father was a successful businessman whose blind ambition sent him down the dark path of drug trafficking. It wasn’t long before young Bill was tagging along and doing drugs with his dad. The aftermath of witnessing his father perish in a fiery standoff with police sent Bill spiraling out of control. He lashed out at law enforcement by dealing drugs, and he numbed the pain and confusion by doing them. Deep down, Bill knew his life was broken. When a high school football teammate invited him to attend a Fellowship of Christian Athletes meeting, he discovered his faith and a new path.
