Book Modern Antenna Handbook

Download or read book Modern Antenna Handbook written by Constantine A. Balanis and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2011-09-20 with total page 1617 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The most up-to-date, comprehensive treatment of classical and modern antennas and their related technologies Modern Antenna Handbook represents the most current and complete thinking in the field of antennas. The handbook is edited by one of the most recognizable, prominent, and prolific authors, educators, and researchers on antennas and electromagnetics. Each chapter is authored by one or more leading international experts and includes cover-age of current and future antenna-related technology. The information is of a practical nature and is intended to be useful for researchers as well as practicing engineers. From the fundamental parameters of antennas to antennas for mobile wireless communications and medical applications, Modern Antenna Handbook covers everything professional engineers, consultants, researchers, and students need to know about the recent developments and the future direction of this fast-paced field. In addition to antenna topics, the handbook also covers modern technologies such as metamaterials, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), frequency selective surfaces (FSS), and radar cross sections (RCS) and their applications to antennas, while five chapters are devoted to advanced numerical/computational methods targeted primarily for the analysis and design of antennas.

Book Fundamentals of Microwave and RF Design

Download or read book Fundamentals of Microwave and RF Design written by Michael Steer and published by NC State University. This book was released on 2019-09 with total page 244 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Fundamentals of Microwave and RF Design enables mastery of the essential concepts required to cross the barriers to a successful career in microwave and RF design. Extensive treatment of scattering parameters, that naturally describe power flow, and of Smith-chart-based design procedures prepare the student for success. The emphasis is on design at the module level and on covering the whole range of microwave functions available. The orientation is towards using microstrip transmission line technologies and on gaining essential mathematical, graphical and design skills for module design proficiency. This book is derived from a multi volume comprehensive book series, Microwave and RF Design, Volumes 1-5, with the emphasis in this book being on presenting the fundamental materials required to gain entry to RF and microwave design. This book closely parallels the companion series that can be consulted for in-depth analysis with referencing of the book series being familiar and welcoming. Key Features * A companion volume to a comprehensive series on microwave and RF design * Open access ebook editions are hosted by NC State University Libraries at https://repository.lib.ncsu.edu/handle/1840.20/36776 * 59 worked examples * An average of 24 exercises per chapter * Answers to selected exercises * Emphasis on module-level design using microstrip technologies * Extensive treatment of design using Smith charts * A parallel companion book series provides a detailed reference resource

Book Analysis of a Leaky Traveling Wave Antenna Preprint

Download or read book Analysis of a Leaky Traveling Wave Antenna Preprint written by and published by . This book was released on 2006 with total page 11 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Several leaky traveling wave antennas using the first microstrip higher order mode were simulated with the Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) method. The leaky wave antennas investigated here differ from previous designs. The propagation constant of each antenna was extracted from the resulting guided field distribution for comparison with a transverse resonance approximation, measured far-field patterns, and other simulated antennas. Variations of geometry were explored to investigate the complex propagation constant and its effect on the far-field pattern and the bandwidth.

Book Interaction Between Two Traveling Wave Antennas

Download or read book Interaction Between Two Traveling Wave Antennas written by B. Ya Pavlov and published by . This book was released on 1969 with total page 12 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The interaction between two traveling wave antennas is examined. When the distance between antenna centers is approximately one wave length, interaction is low. In the case examined, the optimal phase velocity of the wave in the antenna is not equal to the optimal velocity for one antenna, but it depends on the distance between antennas. (Author).
