Praise for the SELENA SERIES: “Greg Barth cooked up something mean and served it up and I hope none of you choke on it because it’s mighty tasty.” —Eryk Pruitt, author of Hashtag and Dirtbags “It’s like the wildest of the men’s adventure novels of the ’70s, updated for the new millennium. Definitely not for the faint of heart.” —Bill Crider “Reminiscent of Larry Brown’s Fay, but less innocent and more violent, Selena combines fine writing and an indelible character to help fill the gap of female protagonists in the world of noir.” —Vicki Hendricks, author of Miami Purity “Greg Barth writes with a knife-like edge…A fast, crazy read.” —Marietta Miles, author of Route 12 “Greg Barth writes a hell of a book. He steps on the gas and doesn’t let up for a second.” —Michael Finamore “Mister Barth writes well—hard charging and fast paced.” —Tony Knighton, author of Three Hours Past Midnight “This book had me turning pages and gritting my teeth…a total punch to the gut, and it hurts so good.” —S. W. Lauden, author of Crosswise “Selena is a visceral pulp thriller that had me gripped from the outset.” —Tom Leins, of Dirty Books Blog “This series is a literary legend in the making” —Will Viharo, author of Love Stories Are Too Violent For Me “Selena is a tour de force of unapologetic sex and violence, not for the faint of heart but definitely for hardcore fans of fast paced, unrelenting pulp-noir in the fashion of nobody except Greg Barth.” —Shane D. Keene

Download or read book Make Trauma Your B TCH A Memoir written by Kate Smith and published by Writers Republic LLC. This book was released on 2023-02-13 with total page 100 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Hurdle after hurdle, everyone’s experiences are their own. This memoir’s filled with some of mine. Mixed with a bit of poetry and some spicy language, this was written to help you divide and conquer your trauma. This memoir may get a little too descriptive, but this is a complex topic that needs to be addressed, and societal changes need to be made. Trauma affects people to their core; no matter what has hurt you, we have all had to endure something that has negatively affected us. This book won’t be the magical fix for everyone, but if it helps at least one person, I’ve done my job. Yes, there will be some triggers in this story, so read with caution. Please enjoy as I open up about some of the lowest and highest points in my life; this wasn’t easy, but it’s a topic that needs to be discussed. It’s time to make people uncomfortable until changes are made. No one should feel like they can’t walk the streets, grab a drink, travel alone, or do everyday life basics because others can’t control their “urges.” We’ve addressed it enough that people should finally feel safe by now, but they don’t. Society needs to do better.

Download or read book Trouble Won t Wait written by Autumn Piper and published by Autumn Piper. This book was released on 2015-02-11 with total page 154 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Good things may come to those who wait, but trouble waits for no one… Cheating is a dealbreaker...or so Mandy has always thought. But when she catches her husband getting some “strange,” she realizes how hard it is to cut and run, or even file papers. She agrees to a month of counseling, which will give her time to grieve the loss of her marriage before she has to tell the world—and the kids. Then she meets Adam, who gives her a hunky, if mysterious, shoulder to cry on, and that thirty-day waiting period seems like an eternity. Adam has no problem confessing that he’s watched Mandy from his window for months as she runs by his house. If he told her why, though, she’d freak out for sure. He knows they’ve got a future together, if he can think of a way to explain his past. And he’s sure the rat-bastard who cheated on her is putting the moves on her again, but he won’t be the revenge guy. The month-long cooling off period she agreed to is lasting forever, and might just be indefinite, if trouble keeps getting in their way. CONTENT WARNING: Eccentric old lady pushing salt-of-the-earth advice, bossy big brother, kooky counselor, super-secretive hunk, and perfect justice served amidst adult situations and language.
