The references are arranged alphabetically by author (or title, if no author is stated) in three categories: general information on juvenile justice and the Young Offenders Act; literature discussing dispositions under the Act; and literature on various diversion programs. The bibliography includes articles appearing in Alberta newspapers and a provincial magazine in order to give a presentation of the local situation and the concerns of those in the field.These articles are placed at the beginning of each section and are arranged chronologically to outline developments since the Young Offenders Act came into force.
