And besides, he's been without a Wand for too long. And if you think that's bad for Shmedley, what about the poor author? What will we find out about Shmedley's Parents this year? I mean what will we find out about those impostors who pretended to be his parents until they could ship him off to Wizard School. And who sends a kid to Wizard School without a Wand? Once they graduate, then what will they do? They have little time to ponder that, they're too busy with school and with finding out about Dangerous Territory. So, this book is about the lightest part of the shadow of the lives of Wizards School Students. It’s the story about how they’re about to graduate and embrace the life of Wizards. Up to this point, they have just been students. After they graduate, they’ll be acclaimed as Wizards – cap and all. What could possibly go wrong in their final year at Wizard School? How about accidentally traveling back in time? How about ending up in Wandmaking Class when you know nothing about that subject? And what will these students do after they graduate? Rating G; Reading Level Easy 5th Grade; Longest Word: Classifications Female teenage wizard Leesha Fourthchild is very good at casting spells. But is she too good? Leesha casts a spell which doesn’t just make her disappear. This spell make her cease to exist. This is good because now she won’t ever have to worry about turning into a velociraptor ever again. She won’t have to worry about turning into a dangerous dinosaur who might hurt somebody. As long as she was with her boyfriend Shmedley Thrumbledack, she didn’t have to worry about that because he can turn her back into a human. Speaking of Shmedley, now that Leesha is no more, she’ll never get to hold hands with him again. She’ll never get to kiss him again. And she terribly misses him. How will Leesha be able to exist again? Who can help her? Leesha finds that there is one advantage to not existing. It makes it easier to spy on the underground world and find out what they’re up to. Shmedley is a Spring. A Spring is the opposite of an Offspring. If you’re a Spring you never had parents. This is different from an Orphan, for they once had parents. A Spring is also something that bounces. The Spring is a certain time of year. It opens the door to Summer, to better things. A Spring is a flow of water into a pool. A Spring is a magical being who has all these magical attributes. How can Shmedley use these forms of magic to help him. It’s good that he has some magic, because he doesn’t have a wand. And even though Wizard Math is good for solving problems, it’s not much help when you’re being picked on by bullies.
Download or read book Take Control of Your Internet Posts Blog Your Own Way written by Dale Stubbart and published by Dale Stubbart. This book was released on with total page 119 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I create my own Websites using HTML and CSS. I've blogged with WordPress for many years. However, I'm always fighting with it to get things formatted my way. I figured if I created my own blogging system, I wouldn't have to do that. So, I created my Radical Blogging Method. You can use it too. I used HTML for the webpage and CSS for the styling. I also used my very easy-to-use Javascript Library to make my webpage more expressive, and to save me a few steps. This can all be done without any Javascript, if you wish. First, I had to figure out what a blogging system does. Then I had to replicate it, well, at least the important steps. My blogging method uses HTML and CSS, just like my webpages do. So, I just write my posts, like I write my webpages. The theme is the same as the other pages of my website, with a few extra features for the Posts. In addition to the posts, there's a list of all the posts. I made that very simple to maintain. And, there's a Feed. This Feed File tells others sites about your posts and it let's readers subscribe to your post. I've set things up, so that it's easy to maintain this feed file. In this book I explain why I did this, how I did it, and how you can use it too. Then I let you draw your own conclusion. Using my Radical Blogging Method saves me time and makes blogging a joy again.

Download or read book EV Electric Vehicles Come Home written by Dale Stubbart and published by Dale Stubbart. This book was released on with total page 158 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In my first book on Electric Cars, I covered those which were available in the US. In my new book, I decided to cover the world. I also venture into Electric Planes and EVTOLS - Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing machines. Even though EVs are very interesting, you might get bored after the 100th or so. To relieve your boredom, I inserted stories about my visits from a couple of outer space aliens who are very interested in Electric Cars. Who says you can't mix research books with sci-fi and humor? I start with the most popular EVs. I cover many parts of the globe. And I cover lesser known Electric cars. Some places around the world don't have good roads or the roads are too crowded. There, electric motorcycles, rickshaws, and other vehicles are more popular than electric cars. And did you know that there's an electric skateboard? Electric Cars come in several models - Sedans, SUVs, Crossovers, Hatchbacks, etc. There are even little electric bubble cars. And there's a Amphibious E-Tricycle Camper. Now is a good time to get into an EV - there's availability. You'll get good range. And you'll save money on gas and maintenance. Besides, bans on ICE vehicles (internal combustion engine - petrol powered cars) are coming. Maybe not tomorrow, but soon. And supermost of all, owning an EV is cool and the wave of the future. And you want to get into the action now because you want to ride the crest of the wave. Some people are still worried about - what happens if the battery dies. I cover that. Good news - not a problem. I also cover converting your car to an EV (or rather hiring someone to do that for you) and EV Rentals. I conclude the book with what it would take to own an EV Dealership, My EV choices, and statements by World Leaders on EVs. I evaluate the more popular cars and provide a blank evaluation form so you can make your own evaluations. This book is packed with information, but I keep it light so you won't get bored. Actually, that's not true. I kept it light so that I wouldn't get bored.
Download or read book Of Violet and Brunettes written by Dale Stubbart and published by Dale Stubbart. This book was released on with total page 24 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Violet started the conversation. She always had to start the conversation, but she didn’t really mind. She liked giving Brunettes a chance to start the conversation, knowing that would never happen. Waiting just long enough, Violet asked, “What shall we do today?” She tried to make it sound royal. They waited and waited, then together Brunettes said, “I don’t know.” “Well, in that case …”, Violet was starting to say; when Brunettes said together, “Today, we get a name!” This was very surprising to Violet. It was not surprising that Brunettes said something together. They said and did everything in unison. It was this request for a name that was so surprising. They had a name! So, Violet stated what she assumed was obvious to all of them. “You have a name, Brunettes.” “NO!!!!!!!!! She wants a name!” they screamed, pointing at each other. “Brunettes, you have a name!” said Violet, sounding as exasperated as a six-year old could sound. It was at times like this, that she wished Mother was here. She corrected herself. There had never been a time like this before. Brunettes always did everything the same. She thought they liked their name. There had never been a problem before. “We want two names!” they pouted, a most professional, four-year old pout. “Brunettes and Brunettes!” Violet said, proud of thinking of that all on her own. Brunettes shook their heads violently back and forth. “No! That won’t do! That won’t do at all!!!”Violet considered for a moment. She was Violet. Other people in the Dynasty had violet hair – all of them except Brunettes, to be precise. But nobody else was named Violet, only she. So, she supposed Brunettes should each have a name. But how would anyone tell them apart. Who would know which girl had which name. But, Violet was only stumped on that for a moment until she realized that it didn’t really matter. If Brunettes had two names, she would only have to say one and they would both respond. After all, they both responded to Brunettes.
Download or read book Select Your Electric Car written by Dale Stubbart and published by Dale Stubbart. This book was released on with total page 166 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An Electric Car is often referred to as an electric vehicle or EV. In Select Your Electric Car, I explore the various options of EVs available in the United States. If you live in California or in one of the other states which have similar zero emission vehicle standards, you will have more choices. These states have laws that car companies selling cars in their state must provide a certain percentage of EVs. I am going to focus on the EVs which are widely available in the US now (2018). I’ll compare them, so that hopefully you will be able to purchase the EV which fits your lifestyle – or the lifestyle which you plan to adopt once you own an EV. I’ll also look at a few other EVs which are not as widely available. In 2019, car dealers will be offering more models of EVs nationally, at least that’s the plan. I’m thinking that you might want a car with more of a track record. So I won’t be saying as much about those models, though I will mention them. The US ranks seventh in number of EVs sold, following China, United Kingdom, France, Sweden, Netherlands, and Norway who is at #1. If you wanted to wait until 2019 to drive your EV, and you had $200,000 ($200K) to spare, and you had a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or could hire a driver who did; why not just purchase a Tesla Electric Semi. After all, Elon Musk is now saying it will have a 600-mile range. Even if he’s only 75% correct, that’s still a 450-mile range. I could drive into town (Olympia) every day of the week and up to the big city (Seattle) on the weekend. And I still wouldn’t have to charge my rig. And in Aug 2018, a Tesla Semi made it from Coast to Coast across the US. It did have to be recharged. But the driver was able to find charging stations which were powerful enough to charge it. But where would I park the thing? Besides I don’t have a CDL. And the few people I know who do aren’t interested in being my personal chauffeur. I also definitely don’t have $200K that I can afford to spend on my next vehicle. I won’t talk about the Tesla Semi in this book. You can read about that vehicle in my book – The Xybrid Vehicle. I’ll also mention techniques for driving an EV which will expand their range. At least these techniques work when driving my 2015 Electric Nissan Leaf. Book excerpt: This book is not about chemical elements. I’m going to offer my apologies for that up front, as I know that might be disappointing to a few of you. Rather, this book is about the basic elements which make up the Earth, which make up each of us, which make up everything. These Elements go by various names depending on which Element Theory you reference. I’ll explain that later on in this book. Then I’ll use a standard naming convention for each of these Elements. This book is about the Elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Spirit, and Sky. It is also about the Elements Love and Life. I explain each of these Elements and how each pertains to a Personality Type. I give as much information as is known about each Element, so that you can better answer if that Element or Personality Type is you.

Download or read book The Wind s on the Horizon Just Over the Edge written by Dale Stubbart and published by Dale Stubbart. This book was released on with total page 88 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Another of my mystical poetry books in the series: The Language of the Wind. In this book, we look at things from the horizon. But the horizon is just another way of saying the edge. Sometimes when looking at things from the edge, it's the edge of getting happy or the edge of going crazy. Sometimes you're pulled back from the brink just in time. In this book there are White Water Journeys, the Outer Wondrousness, the Perihelion of Bliss, Dreamscapes and Funnels, Wisdom, Cunning, and Loneliness, Rhythms on the Brink, the Inner Marvel, and Heart Tonic. Then we get really close with Approaching the Edge, perhaps a little too closely. Instilling the Edge, You can't get closer than this. Of course that's only true until you do. Then you're on the Far Edge of the Horizon. I've also included a couple of mystical short stories - Miguelito: The smallest sueno (dream). That Hole Inside You, featuring your favorite striped mammal - Skunk. Mystics try to describe the indescribable with words. They bring you in touch with the spiritual world. Some mystical writing is hard to understand. I'd like to think that mine is easy. And some of it is very humorous. Of course, what could be more spiritual than chocolate? I've included two poems on that. Rating G. Reading Level: Very Easy 4th Grade. Longest Word: Tremendousness
Download or read book Just Like Down Home written by Dale Stubbart and published by Dale Stubbart. This book was released on with total page 24 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Just like down home is a phrase my Grandpa said a lot. It’s a fancy way of saying everything went just fine. My Grandpa had a lot of phrases which he said repeated quite often. Some people call them Hillbilly phrases. But as my Grandpa said, he was a Mountain William, not a Hill Billy. My favorite phrase of his was his response when asked how he was. Why I’m fine as a frog’s hair and twice as curly. In this story, Joel September’s life is not going that great. He’s stuck in a job he really hates, but it pays the bills. But then a crisis happens, one which starts his life flowing in a much better direction. And Joel starts to be aware that very soon his life is going to be just like down home! Tonight Joel had no worries. Things were about to change for the better, he could feel it in his bones. “The toe bone’s connected to the … foot bone”, Joel began to sing to himself. Well his singing wasn’t perfect. It was off-key as usual. It was nice to know he was still human. Joel left the sidewalk and continued on across a field of grass. He kept one eye to the ground, on the lookout for presents left by stray dogs. But somehow, he couldn’t focus on the ground tonight. His spirits were just too high. Pretty soon, Joel felt like he was walking on air. It was a wonderful feeling, to feel like you were floating. Joel walked past the Pearly Gates, where St Peter had just posted a “No Trespassing” sign. Joel laughed at the sign and called out, “Very funny Pete”, as he walked by. “I thought you’d enjoy it”, St Peter called back, and then hurried to take the sign back down. Heaven wouldn’t be Joel’s destination tonight, nor for a long time to come. He had too much going right for him on earth. And soon, very soon, things would be going so much more rightly. Download or read book The Dzhardes The Horror Beyond Hell written by Dale Stubbart and published by Dale Stubbart. This book was released on with total page 46 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Be warned! They say that some people would walk through hell for love. Would you? Well maybe you would, you’re just crazy enough to do something so foolish as that. But how many horrors would someone be willing to face for love? And why, oh why, would she travel to the home of the Dzhardes? They aren’t even lovable! But she did. And believe it or not, so might you. Fair warning in advance. This is not a pretty story. Yes, it is a romance. Though, if it’s a romance that you’re looking for, you might want to try other books of mine in that genre. As a rule, I don’t write horror stories. Life is scary enough without hearing about horror. And I, for one, don’t like to scare myself silly. However, this tale came to me begging to be told. And it had just enough romance in it that I didn’t reject it outright. So if you want to see just how far somebody would go for love or if you want to raise your adrenaline levels, this book will do the trick. I’ve tried not to make it too scary. And I’ve omitted the most frightening parts. After all, I wouldn’t want you to have nightmares for the rest of your life.

Download or read book Yellow Bear written by Dale Stubbart and published by Dale Stubbart. This book was released on with total page 70 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Yellow Bear was walking in the woods one day. He was deep in the woods where the trees are close to each other, so close there was hardly room to move between them. But Yellow Bear managed. Sometimes he would have to climb over branches, and sometimes he crawled under them. Walking in the deep woods was hard, but Yellow Bear was really enjoying it. Casual strolls, where the trees were not as close to each other, were nice; but walking this obstacle course was also fun. Yellow Bear was drawn in this direction, so he kept walking (and climbing, and crawling). Suddenly, Yellow Bear popped out into an open meadow. This was the place he had been drawn to. A nice meadow full of wildflowers and singing birds. Yellow Bear was about to sit down and relax and enjoy this meadow, taking in all its majestic beauty; when the Wind came to play with him, flipping his ear forward. Come, play with me! it said. Yellow Bear knew the Wind. He knew how nice it was. The Wind brought smells to his nose of honey, berries, and other foods. The Wind told him where other animals were. The Wind could keep him warm, or cool him off. The Wind brought him music as it sang through the leaves of the trees. Yes, the Wind was nice. But, this was the first time the Wind had invited him to play. Yellow Bear loved to play, oh how he loved to play! The Wind had tagged him, so now Yellow Bear ran to tag the Wind. The Wind was elusive, and the first few times, Yellow Bear missed. Yellow Bear would chase the Wind, and just as he was about to tag it, the Wind would disappear. Then the Wind would appear someplace else and Yellow Bear would chase it again. And, again the Wind would disappear just as Yellow Bear was about to tag it. Then Yellow Bear stepped onto the Wind Where he stepped, there was nothing Where he stepped, there was everything Then he knew why the birds sing And the children laugh He knew why water flowed And fire burned And he knew why the Wind called to him and why he longed to answer Rating G; Reading Level Very Easy 4th Grade; Longest Words: Ginoodaawangaa, Disappointment
Download or read book The Night the Stars Went Away written by Dale Stubbart and published by Dale Stubbart. This book was released on with total page 34 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Hi, My name is Frank. This is my story. I’m sure there are other bottles in the stream, carrying other stories about what happened. This is what I recall. Some might say, it is my version of the truth. Will we ever know what happened? Some are certain they know, “Preaching it” as it were “from the rooftops”. Some are certain, but keep silent, for fear their truth will come out. Most of the world didn’t live all the way through those cataclysmic events. Most of us who did are content to just write our stories down, place them in bottles and toss those bottles into the stream. Like most, I’m hoping that somebody downstream will find my story. Then perhaps, all the stories will merge. All the pieces will be put together. And at last we’ll finally know what really happened. And of course there will always be those who say that nothing ever happened. That the rest of us just were dreaming or having nightmares. But, I know better. At least I think I do. This is my story of what happened, the night the stars went away. Rating G; Reading Level Easy 6th Grade
