Book The Weekend Storage Warrior

Download or read book The Weekend Storage Warrior written by Jens Tobias and published by CreateSpace. This book was released on 2013-08 with total page 232 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Weekend Storage Warrior (Storage Auctions for Fun and Profit) was written for the average person who wants to learn how to make money at storage auctions as a small, part-time buyer. All you need is a few hundred dollars, a storage area, a pickup truck or van, and, perhaps, your own trash dumpster. This book does not promise to make you a millionaire. Making money from storage auctions is a lot of work. The nice thing about it is that you can earn some decent cash while you are waiting for that dream unit of a lifetime to come along. Written from 20 years experience, after purchasing hundreds of units, the book covers all aspects of the storage auction business. The first chapters shows all of the different ways to find auctions, how to buy profitable units, and how to avoid the scams and pitfalls that can befall the inexperienced buyer. The second part is about loading and sorting units, and pricing objects of unknown value. The third part is the most important, how to sell. Anyone can go to a storage auction and buy a storage unit. The hard part is selling the merchandise that is acquired for enough money to make a profit. The book really gets in to the details of how to price and sell used merchandise, both at local venues like flea markets and consignment stores, as how to sell on eBay, Craigslist, and Amazon. An entire sub-chapter is devoted to how to test gold jewelry, and get the best price for scrap gold and silver. Numerous case histories of actual units that were purchased in a time period spanning from 1993 to the 2013 give a feel of what it is really like outside of the world of reality TV. Finally, the book covers the rules and regulations, including items that are prohibited from sale, what to do if you find a firearm in a storage unit, proper disposal of hazardous materials, and sales tax and income tax issues. This book is an original work based on the author's own experience and research, and is among the best current reference materials on the subject. The book is 230 pages, first published in the paperback edition August of 2013. If you would just like to read a funny, entertaining book about storage auctions, or if you have some spare time and could use an extra ten grand or so by this time next year, and perhaps a lot more, I encourage you to buy a copy, and I wish you, Good luck! Jens Tobias

Book excerpt: Married with two children, Michael Patrick Fitzmaurice, Major, Infantry, US Army Reserve, is going to war. Bound for Ramstein, Germany, he and his troops, who never expected to be on the frontline, must now stand in battle alongside their active-duty counterparts. It's the mid-1980s and the United States is under the leadership of a new president who continues its post-Vietnam withdrawal from the world stage. Domestic affairs are the administration's priority, while international affairs are given short shrift. In Western Europe, this disengagement of the United States causes turmoil and indecision. The Soviet General Staff observes these conditions and sees an opportunity in the West's disarray. They believe one strong, overwhelming offense, launched violently and without warning, would overcome NATO's defenses before the alliance could react. Once the Soviet forces seized their objectives in West Germany and the Netherlands, NATO would be forced to sue for peace on Soviet terms. Even if the United States could react to the offensive, its support would never reach the battlefield in time to affect the outcome. And, once the Soviet forces held their ground, the demoralized people of Western Europe would never rally for a counter attack. To meet this threat and support its allies, the United States mobilizes large numbers of reservists and National Guard troopswomen and men like Mike who fight to defeat the Soviet onslaught and repel the invaders. This novel was named a finalist in the Eric Hoffer Book Awards recently.

Book excerpt: 'If you don't love and honour yourself with every fiber of your being, if you struggle with owning your power and passion, then it is time for an inner revolution! It is time to claim your Warrior Goddess energy.' This is a book that teaches women to see themselves as perfect just the way they are, to resist society's insistence that they seek value, wholeness and love through something outside themselves, such as a husband, children, boyfriend, career or a spiritual path. Author HeatherAsh Amara has written this book as a message for women struggling to find themselves under these false ideals. Amara challenges women to be 'warrior goddesses', to be a woman who: • Ventures out to find herself • Combats fear and doubt • Reclaims her power and vibrancy • Demonstrates her strength of compassion and fierce love Her approach draws on the wisdom from Buddhism, Toltec wisdom and ancient earth-based goddess spirituality, and combines them all with the goal of helping women become empowered, authentic and free. Included here are personal stories, rituals and exercises that encourage readers to begin their own journey towards becoming warrior goddesses.
