Book The Voice that Rose Above the Noise

Download or read book The Voice that Rose Above the Noise written by Anabel Aiken and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2014-03-10 with total page 84 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A collection of short stories that are nonfiction and go deep to the heart of one woman's Christian journey to hear God. Speaking honestly from her heart to God she finds healing in the voice that rose above the noise. She knew from the first communication the message was to be shared but did not know how. The first story burned in her memory until a year later when she cried out to God asking what was wanted of her and was told to "Write it down!". She did and then the next event happened. This pattern followed until the last story in the book was written. The messages came through life circumstances yet with the barriers removed of not being able to hear and understand the Holy Spirit during the specific events. Messages that have brought healing to her life and has built a relationship with Jesus Christ laying a foundation in spite of the wounds she has carried in life. Knowing it has been given her to share this, she prays others may find healing and the love of Christ in their life.

Book EDGE

    Book Details:
  • Author : Koji Suzuki
  • Publisher : Kodansha USA
  • Release : 2012-12-11
  • ISBN : 1935654950
  • Pages : 417 pages

Download or read book EDGE written by Koji Suzuki and published by Kodansha USA. This book was released on 2012-12-11 with total page 417 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Edge begins with a massive and catastrophic shifting of the San Andreas fault. The fears of California someday tumbling into the sea—that have become the stuff of parody—become real. But even the terror resulting from this catastrophe pales in comparison to the understanding behind its happening, a cataclysm extending beyond mankind's understanding of horror as it had previously been known. The world is falling apart because things are out of joint at the quantum level, about which of course there's never been any guarantee that everything has to remain stable. Koji Suzuki returns to the genre he's most famous for after many years of "not wanting to write any more horror." As expected from Suzuki, the chills are of a more cerebral, psychological sort, arguably more unsettling and scary than the slice-and-dice gore fests that horror has become known in the U.S. Never content to simply do "Suzuki"—as it were—but rather push the envelope on what horror is in general and for which readers have come to know him, Edge borders on being cutting-edge science fiction. The author himself terms this novel, which he has worked on for some years, a work of "quantum horror."

Book The Tree of Young Dreamers

Download or read book The Tree of Young Dreamers written by Frank Sousa and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2014-04-10 with total page 559 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Brought up in the Depression, Johnny DaSilva is leader of a fun and imaginative gang that lives out their dreams in the Big Tree in which each has a branch that serves as the Lone Ranger’s Silver, the race car of Morey Amsterdam, the rocket ship of Buck Rogers, the crow’s nest for Black Bart the Pirate. When World War II broke out, they tried every ruse their young imaginations could think of to get into the marines, army, and navy but had to settle for the Boy Scouts. But the faux pas war to end all wars came too soon for the Big Tree Gang. Johnny is best described by an aunt as having the millstone around the neck of having a strict English Episcopalian conscience and bucking bronco Portuguese sexual proclivities. Two girls are in love with him, one wealthy and popular, the other sexually abused and who considered herself a worthless toy, until she met Johnny. Whatever they knew about the facts of life, male and female, were learned pretty much by trial and error.
