Book Romans Walking in the Transforming Power of the Gospel Message

Download or read book Romans Walking in the Transforming Power of the Gospel Message written by Norma Blackmon and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2018-08-14 with total page 141 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A Bible Study through Romans Oh the depth of this letter to the Roman believers by the apostle Paul, where we, each one of us can see ourselves, maybe even our old selves revealed, and the Way, the Truth, and Gods transforming power that has and continues to save and change us. Yes all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Why? Because we have, each and every one, inherited a (the) sin nature, disobedience, from the fall, from the one man. And because of this we all, again, were enemies of God, afar off and at enmity. Yet in His great love for us we learn that even while we were His enemies, God gave His only Son to die on a cross that we might have our sins forgiven; if we believe. Now we have a new nature, a new man, alongside the old, that can grow in grace and strength and cause the old nature to be buried. At least as much as is possible in these mortal and fleshly bodies: and as much as we are willing to yield to the Spirits leading, and obey. Who are those who are without excuse? Who are those who are inexcusable? Is there any hope for those who God has given over? I think maybe. Who are the branches, and who does the wild olive tree refer to? What was the hoped outcome in provoking the Jews to jealousy? We read of works versus grace; of the war between the mind and the Spirit, and that even when we are unfaithful, God is faithful; He cannot deny Himself. Wow! Just pause for a moment and absorb that. What an amazing God we serve! What a beautiful, strong, encouraging, convicting, challenging and promise filled letter Paul has written. Yes, I understand that I have scarcely touched the surface. Still my prayer is for even a fraction of Gods message, His power, love and teaching will come through this study. I confess that I know so little, but He is so big! Please Father might all who work through these pages see You, and embrace all that You in Christ Jesus have done for us. May You be lifted up and praised and adored for You. In the power of Jesus name I pray and thank You for this privilege. Amen.

Finding Truth is the real-world training manual that equips you to confidently address issues you’ll face in the classroom, workplace, and popular culture.

Book The Word of God for the People of God

Download or read book The Word of God for the People of God written by J. Todd Billings and published by Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing. This book was released on 2010 with total page 254 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book fills a real need for pastors and students. Though there is currently a large body of material on the theological interpretation of Scripture, most of it is highly specific and extremely technical. J. Todd Billings here provides a straightforward entryway for students and pastors to understand why theological interpretation matters and how it can be done. / A solid, constructive theological work, The Word of God for the People of God presents a distinctive Trinitarian, participatory approach toward reading Scripture as the church. Billings's accessible yet substantial argument for a theological hermeneutic is rooted in a historic vision of the practice of scriptural interpretation even as it engages a wide range of contemporary issues and includes several exegetical examples that apply to concrete Christian ministry situations.

Book Once Saved Always Saved

Download or read book Once Saved Always Saved written by Vicente Rangel and published by Palibrio. This book was released on 2017-06-19 with total page 89 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Once saved, always saved? Many Christians believe that you cant lose your salvation, while another group believes that there is a possibility that it can be lost. In the evangelic groups, this topic has cause a lot of controversy. But above all things, the most important is what the Bible says because it is Gods Holy Word. But if all of these groups quote the scriptures to prove the truth, who should we believe then? Pastor Vicente Rangel explains this topic with clarity, quoting the scriptures that both of these groups support. He also explains how through the years, the scriptures of the Bible that are related to this topic have been wrongly interpreted not because of their ignorance but because of their disbelief. They have ignored the warnings and conditions that God gave us through his Holy Bible. He wrote them to call our attention; but nowadays, many Christians have made freedom in Christ, living a sinful and immoral life, abusing the goodness of God, and believing that we can live our lives however we want to without losing our salvation.
