Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I wrote this novel as a hobby when I was 15 years old in high school. "The Three Kingdoms: The Sons of Freedom" is the first of the three-part legend of Caradorian Caracross, a knight of royalty who sacrificed everything to protect his land and people. The tale starts when Carador returns home from vacation in the west, only to find his beloved homeland in the kingdom Androuge destroyed by a ruthless beast that has terrorized the people in the land of Earacill for the past millennium. The hero sets out accompanied by seven others to destroy the beast and free their people so that they may live in peace at last. Unfortunately, this is only the minimal threat that they must confront, as the greater enemy of Earacill awaits them far down the road. They will soon discover that Earacill holds more secrets than either side could have ever imagined...

Book excerpt: Freedoms Song is both an expanded translation and a one-of-a-kind interpretation of the life of Jesus. It is a fresh portrait of him based on primary source documents, namely, the four gospels of the Christian scriptures. In this story, these documents are harmonized and arranged into a highly probable chronological narrative. To add depth and flavor, and bring about a greater understanding of Jesus discourses, illustrations, homilies, and deeds, cultural and political beliefs and practices of the first-century are incorporated into the book. The Prologue opens with a celestial sign that appeared to Magi priests about fifteen months before Jesus was born. This is followed with a discussion of his pedigree and his person. Part I covers the Inauguration of Freedom, from Jesus unique birth to his first Passover in Jerusalem as a youth. It then jumps forward eighteen years to his baptism, personal testing as Gods Liberator, recruitment of his first six disciples, and, finally, his first power deed. Part II focuses on the Battle for Freedom. It covers approximately two years of Jesus ministryhis tour of Galilee with the gospel, identification of himself as the God-man, sermon about Gods kingdom, dispatching apostles to spread the good news, teaching by parables, visiting Jerusalem, and his warning to the religious leaders of his day. Part III includes Freedoms Victory, coincidentally the denouement of Jesus life. He is back in Jerusalem for another Passover and a final gathering with the apostles. And here he is arrested, tried, and crucified as a common criminal. The story ends with Freedoms SongJesus is alive!

Book For Freedom Alone

Download or read book For Freedom Alone written by Edward J. Cowan and published by Birlinn Publishers. This book was released on 2008 with total page 202 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Declaration of Arbroath, April 6, 1320, is one of the most remarkable documents to have been produced anywhere in medieval Europe. Quoted by many, understood by few, its historical significance has now almost been overtaken by its mythic status. Since 1998, the US Senate has claimed that the American Declaration of Independence is modeled upon 'the inspirational document' of Arbroath. To date, such claims have not been the subject of scholarly investigation; this is the first book-length study to examine the origins of the Declaration and the ideas upon which it drew, while tracing the rise of its mystic status in Scotland and exploring its possible impact upon Revolutionary America.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Interior Freedom leads one to discover that even in the most unfavorable outward circumstances we possess within ourselves a space of freedom that nobody can take away, because God is its source and guarantee. Without this discovery we will always be restricted in some way and will never taste true happiness. Author Jacques Philippe develops a simple but important theme: we gain possession of our interior freedom in exact proportion to our growth in faith, hope, and love. He explains that the dynamism between these three theological virtues is the heart of the spiritual life, and he underlines the key role of the virtue of hope in our inner growth. Written in a simple and inviting style, Interior Freedom seeks to liberate the heart and mind to live the true freedom to which God calls each one.

Book The Book of Mastery

Download or read book The Book of Mastery written by Paul Selig and published by Penguin. This book was released on 2016-01-05 with total page 386 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The first book in channeler Paul Selig’s widely anticipated Mastery Trilogy leads you into an unprecedented journey of self-development, at once building your personal excellence and your ability to improve life for others. The channeled literature of Paul Selig -- who receives clairaudient dictation from unseen intellects called the Guides -- has quickly become the most important and celebrated expression of channeling since A Course In Miracles rose to prominence in the 1970s. Selig’s three previous books -- I Am the Word, The Book of Love and Creation, and The Book of Knowing and Worth -- have won a growing following around the world for their depth, intimacy, and psychological insight. Now, Selig embarks upon an extraordinary new trilogy on the “Teachings of Mastery” with his inaugural volume: The Book of Mastery. The Book of Mastery provides a deeply practical prescription for heightening your abilities, aptitudes, and sense of personal excellence. The Guides’ teachings go much further, however, instructing you how to improve life for others and, ultimately, for global humanity. As the Guides themselves put it: “We will tell you this: No one who reads these books will be left unchanged. They will be like molecular systems that reinvigorate and realign and reclaim the reader to themselves in their worth, in their identity and, beyond that, in their physical realm. Underline physical realm if you like. Because the physical realm that we teach in is about to go back to the stone ages unless you all get it together.”

Book excerpt: Freedom's Sons is the fifth and last in underground cult novelist H.A. Covington's series of Northwest Independence novels. In the first four novels--A Distant Thunder, A Mighty Fortress, The Hill Of The Ravens, and The Brigade--we followed the path of the War of Independence when in the not-so-distant future, the people of the Pacific Northwest fought a five-year guerrilla war against the overbearing tyranny of Washington, D.C., and finally established the Northwest American Republic as an independent nation. Freedom's Sons chronicles the first fifty years of the NAR's existence as a country and a new society, including the struggle against crushing economic sanctions imposed by the outside world, as well as an attempt by the enraged Americans to reconquer the Northwest with a military invasion. The novel follows the fortune of three families, one of former rebel guerrilla fighters from the Northwest Volunteer Army, one Unionist, and one refugee family who flees to the Republic from the collapsing U.S.A. Freedom's Sons is a story of redemption and the triumph of the human spirit over the darkness now engulfing the world.
