This message was received from the LORD during a period of 40 days fasting and prayer for the church and Nigeria, right at God's altar. That people can answer Christians and be bonafide children of God today is because Jesus Christ bore fruit that truly satisfied God's hunger. Book excerpt: Fruitology is a theological exposition of the conceptology of fruits in the Bible in relation to the cosmological effect it has got on the humanity. The word Fruit is a form of reward for service and it is the good results of an activity or a situation. Suffice to say that the fruit generally performs four major functions. These Functions are Identification, Authentication, Differentiation and Distinguish. So, the fruit of a tree identifies the tree, differentiates the tree from other similar tree, project the tree as the authentic producer of the fruit and more importantly distinguish the tree from others. The message of the book is centered on how fruitfulness applies both to plant and animal respectively. Reading through, you will discover six levels of fruitfulness in man as it applies to dominion mandate and discipleship mandate. The fruit is to be eating. However, the sustainability and continuity of life both in plant and animal otherwise called seed is in it. Hence, in every fruit, there is a seed.

  • Author : Paul North
  • Publisher : Stanford University Press

  • Pages : 401 pages

Download or read book The Yield written by Paul North and published by Stanford University Press. This book was released on 2015-09-30 with total page 401 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Yield is a once-in-a-generation reinterpretation of the oeuvre of Franz Kafka. At the same time, it is a powerful new entry in the debates about the supposed secularity of the modern age. Kafka is one of the most admired writers of the last century, but this book presents us with a Kafka few will recognize. It does so through a fine-grained analysis of the three hundred "thoughts" the writer penned near the end of World War I, when he had just been diagnosed with tuberculosis. Since they were discovered after Kafka's death, the meaning of the so-called "Zürau aphorisms" has been open to debate. Paul North's elucidation of what amounts to Kafka's only theoretical work shows them to contain solutions to problems Europe has faced throughout modernity. Kafka offers responses to phenomena of violence, discrimination, political repression, misunderstanding, ethnic hatred, fantasies of technological progress, and the subjugation of the worker, among other problems. Reflecting on secular modernity and the theological ideas that continue to determine it, he critiques the ideas of sin, suffering, the messiah, paradise, truth, the power of art, good will, and knowledge. Kafka's controversial alternative to the bad state of affairs in his day? Rather than fight it, give in. Developing some of Kafka's arguments, The Yield describes the ways that Kafka envisions we can be good by "yielding" to our situation instead of striving for something better.

Book Italy s Many Diasporas

Download or read book Italy s Many Diasporas written by Donna R. Gabaccia and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2013-10-18 with total page 281 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Italy's residents are a migratory people. Since 1800 well over 27 million left home, but over half also returned home again. As cosmopolitans, exiles, and 'workers of the world' they transformed their homeland and many of the countries where they worked or settled abroad. But did they form a diaspora? Migrants maintained firm ties to native villages, cities and families. Few felt much loyalty to a larger nation of Italians. Rather than form a 'nation unbound,' the transnational lives of Italy's migrants kept alive international regional cultures that challenged the hegemony of national states around the world. This ambitious and theoretically innovative overview examines the social, cultural and economic integration of Italian migrants. It explores their complex yet distinctive identity and their relationship with their homeland taking a comprehensive approach.
