Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is written by divine instructions from God Almighty to as many that are ready to follow His divine protocol. Remember, I say, "You can never overpray. You can only underpray." I also want you to know that surely your prayers are not a waste. There is no way someone can fulfill or complete God's agenda for his or her life without prayer. I assure you, you still have hope in Christ Jesus to live longer. Remember these: Doctors can only detect what happens to you or what is wrong with any part of your body through their machine, but they can never make it perfect like the way it was before. But Jesus can. Doctors can only place you on hospice care and tell you that you have less than six months to live, but Jesus has the final say over you. See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. (Deut. 32:39) Jesus can still lend you His life because He has paid for your life. Only Jesus is a great physician. Bolojoko Olayemi is originally from Nigeria. She is a graduate of business administration. She is an evangelist and missionary with a strong desire for souls winning, a preacher of His word, a coach, and a teacher, alongside the publication of this book, to depopulate the kingdom of darkness and to increase the kingdom of God. This makes her first book to be published. To the glory of God, many more are on the way to changing the world for Christ.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We all face stress and tension in our daily lives. We might even wonder why our God of abundant goodness doesn’t remove the everyday struggles we face. Jesus’ interactions with Martha and Mary in the Gospel provide us the key to understanding how God shows us his love by allowing tensions in our lives. As we follow the sisters’ transformative journeys through their own struggles, reflecting on what transpires between Scripture verses, we see their initial tension become the catalyst that drives both Mary and Martha to the feet of Jesus — the place where all discover peace. Grace in Tension explores the areas where stress arises in our own lives. Each chapter ends with a thought-provoking prayer to inspire us to go to God with our problems, followed by questions for reflection to help us see all the ways he’s working for our good. God doesn’t create any of it, but he does show up amid life’s difficulties, ready to lead us through. No matter how big or small our struggle, when we seek him out, he reveals what we need to do to resolve our tension, transforming it into grace. Book Psychiatric Medication and Spirituality

Download or read book Psychiatric Medication and Spirituality written by Lynne Vanderpot and published by Jessica Kingsley Publishers. This book was released on 2017-07-05 with total page 242 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Challenging an exclusively medical approach to mental health and illness, this book considers the impact psychiatric drugs can have on spirituality. In the last thirty years, a dramatic rise in medication as a treatment for mental illness has occurred in tandem with increasing numbers of people entering treatment with a spiritually-oriented understanding of their suffering. The unforeseen result is that some people taking psychiatric drugs are engaging with them in ways that can have a profound impact on the course and outcome of treatment. Based on interviews with people on psychiatric medication who regard spirituality as significant in their lives, this book reveals how medication can be perceived as both helpful and harmful to spirituality. The author argues that spirituality must be considered in debates around psychopharmacology.

Book Enchanted Love

Download or read book Enchanted Love written by Marianne Williamson and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2013-12-17 with total page 292 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Three of Marianne Williamson's previous bestsellers -- A Return to Love, A Woman's Worth, and Illuminata -- explored the issue of relationships. Now, in this deeply personal collection of essays, prayers, and self-reflection, she turns to romantic love. In Illuminata, Williamson wrote that "we experience God to the extent to which we love, forgive, and focus on the good in others and ourselves." Now, in Enchanted Love, she writes that "enchanted partnership begins with the conscious understanding, on the part of two people, that the purpose of their relationship is not so much material as spiritual, and the internal skills demanded by it are prodigious." High romance, she says, "is not about past or future. It is not about practicality. It is not about society or worldly routines. It is an audacious ride to the center of what is, at the heart of every person. It is a bold and masterful inquiry into what two people really are and how we might become, while still on earth, the angels who reside within us."

Simple daily exercises can lead to eliminating the root causes of unhappiness and help you to: • Recognize real happiness and not settle for less • Find true self-esteem, which doesn’t depend on anything outside you • Return to the state of joy, peace, and spontaneous fulfillment that is your natural birthright • Focus on the present and learn to live it fully • Experience enlightenment After all avenues to happiness have been explored, only one path is left: the journey to enlightenment. In The Ultimate Happiness Prescription, we are taken on an inspiring journey to learn the secrets for living mindfully and with effortless spontaneity for the true self, the only place untouched by trouble and misfortune.

Book Transformations of Love

Download or read book Transformations of Love written by Frances Harris and published by OUP Oxford. This book was released on 2003-01-30 with total page 349 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The most controversial episode in the life of the seventeenth-century virtuoso and diarist John Evelyn has always been his passionate, complex friendship with the Restoration maid of honour Margaret Blagge, afterwards Mrs Godolphin. His 'Life of Mrs Godolphin', written after her early death in childbirth, exalted the friendship and represented her as effectively a saint. They saw their intense friendship as platonic spiritual mentoring. Yet it is sometimes argued that what took place between them was actually a kind of seduction on Evelyn's part; that far from trying to overcome her religious scruples about marriage to a young man she deeply loved, as he afterwards claimed, he secretly encouraged them in order to keep her in his power, and even falsified some documents to conceal this from her husband, whose patronage he sought. Was Evelyn in his way as much a sexual predator as the Restoration rakes he professed to despise, or does the episode provide a window on an unexplored aspect of early modern spirituality? Undoubtedly there was more to the friendship than Evelyn publicly admitted, but it remains a puzzle still to be interpreted. This new study is based on Evelyn's papers, now fully accessible for the first time, and on important and hitherto unknown correspondence between Margaret Blagge and her future husband. It situates the episode fully within the pre- and post-Reformation debates concerning marriage and friendship (the latter seen by some as 'more a sacrament' than marriage) and the long traditions of platonic love and intense friendships between men and women in religious contexts. Its diverse and vividly realized settings include the glamorous, disreputable public household of the Restoration court and the great gardens of the day, at once 'little worlds' in microcosm and recreations of paradise on earth.

Download or read book Where Is My Bride written by Evangeline Rentz and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2021-01-07 with total page 96 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Where is My Bride? is a practical message designed to redirect our focus from exclusively dreaming and desiring earthly marriages to recognizing that as Christians, we have already been chosen to be the Bride in the most splendid wedding celebration we will ever encounter. Earthly marriages were designed to be a physical representation of the church’s spiritual marriage to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It represents oneness, trust, and intimacy. Holy Matrimony is a covenantal relationship that requires intentional actions from the couple to establish an unbreakable bond. However, we sadly make the mistake of attempting to establish this physical bond before establishing the spiritual bond with our “First Love”, Jesus Christ. In this book you will find Biblically based principles that will help guide and prepare us in establishing Godly marriages. Whether earthly or spiritual, there are no words to describe the overwhelming anticipation of that moment. So, we must wait with purpose, integrity, commitment, and love, as we prepare for our magnificent wedding day!
