Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The prophecies of Hosea the Prophet not only have wide application to Biblical times, but also to this day and age, both on a cultural level and on a personal level. Here is a translation from the Ancient Aramaic language, the language Eashoa Msheekha (Jesus the Messiah) spoke. The Scroll of Hosea is about the forgiveness a man should feel for his wife in a corrupt age, and it is ultimately about the incredible compassion that Maryah Allaha feels in regards to the unpremeditated sins of His children, in an age when Satan is released from the abyss, to go about and tempt humanity for a short season. The translation of Hosea is a major breakthrough of this translation project. The language of Hosea is rich in poetry and beautifully esoteric. There are many significant clarifications of passages that appear in this translation for the first time. The language is contemporaneous and difficult to understand by the non-native scholar. You will be amazed if you study this translation of Hosea vis-a-vis your own Bible; you will find many new revelations."

Though the book of Hosea is rich with imagery and metaphor that can be difficult to interpret, Lim and Castelo show that, with its focus on corporate and structural sin, Hosea contains a critically important message for today’s church.

Book God s Enduring Love in the Book of Hosea

Download or read book God s Enduring Love in the Book of Hosea written by Joy Philip Kakkanattu and published by Mohr Siebeck. This book was released on 2006 with total page 242 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Joy Philip Kakkanattu provides an exegetical and theological analysis of an important and difficult text of the Old Testament through a synchronic and diachronic reading. Detailed critical notes, which discuss the textual difficulties, accompany the translation of the text from Hebrew. In the detailed exegesis, special attention is given to study of the key terms theologically significant in Hos 11:1-11 against the context of the whole book. The exegesis shows that in Hos 11:8-9 it is not the repentance of Yahweh that causes the withholding of His anger against Israel, but Yahweh's constancy in His election of Israel as His son. More than a change of heart, the decision not to execute the deserved judgement witnesses Yahweh's divine nature. Special attention is dedicated to the parent metaphor employed in Hos 11:1-11. It is concluded that more than expressing the Yahweh-Israel relationship as a father-son relationship, the text speaks of it in terms of parent-child relationship. In the diachronic analysis, the author deals with the origin and formation of Hos 11:1-11.

Book The Prostitute and the Prophet

Download or read book The Prostitute and the Prophet written by Yvonne Sherwood and published by A&C Black. This book was released on 2004-12-30 with total page 368 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The only consensus that has been reached on Hosea 1-3 is that it is a notoriously 'problematic' text. Sherwood unpicks this rather vague statement by examining the particular complexities of the text and frictions between the text and reader that conspire to produce such a disorientating effect. Four dimensions of the 'problem' are considered: the conflict between text and reader over the 'improper' relationship between Hosea and Gomer; the bizarre prophetic sign-language that conscripts people into a cosmic charade; the text's propensity to subvert its central theses; and the emergent tensions between the feminist reader and the text. Aiming to bring together literary criticism and biblical scholarship, this book provides lucid introductions to ideological criticism, semiotics, deconstruction and feminist criticism, and looks at the implications of these approaches not only for the book of Hosea but for biblical studies in general.

Book excerpt: Like all of the minor and major prophets in the Old Testament, the primary focus for the book of Hosea is the end time. The message delivered anciently was only a type of what is occurring today. It contains a tremendous warning that must be delivered now! Hosea was written first of all to God’s adulterous wife in this end time. That is how the book is introduced in the very first chapter. That has not been understood before—not until now! God deals with His Church first because that is the most important issue—by far. God’s next major concern, in this book, is the British peoples. After that, God is concerned about the nation of Judah, called “Israel” today. Hosea tells us that those who sow the wind are going to reap the whirlwind! But there is a beautiful ending to his message. In this booklet: • God's Secret About Hosea's Children • Britain in Prophecy • God's Love for Israel This ebook is offered completely free of charge by the Philadelphia Church of God. However, please not that Google Play will need a verified Google Wallet account which requires your credit card information. In a small number of countries, a temporary authorization of $1 will be charged to your account but will be refunded. This refund can take up to 1 month to process.
