Passing by the local finishing school for girls on a daily basis, he develops a growing curiosity about this traditional girl’s institute. When hearing some rather curious activities taking place on the other side of the school’s boundary wall, his inquisitiveness swiftly gets the better of him. In an impetuous act he scales a tree with the intention of spying upon the unseen girls. His clumsy attempt at peeping sees him fall from the boundary wall to land inside of the school grounds. With no easy way out available and in an attempt to avoid being discovered, he flees further into the school grounds, only to be caught red handed by some very surprised schoolgirls that have no intention of letting him go easily. He is about to experience the humiliation of being forced into schoolgirl dress. Kept in this way against his will and fearful of discovery by the staff, he endures further indignities being meted out that culminate in a failed escape attempt and being subjected to school punishment, with one male teacher showing a less than professional interest in this new girl’s welfare. Follow Donny’s fate at the hands of his tormentors, as he’s feminised and played with in the most intimate of fashions by his schoolgirl captors. He knows he must escape their clutches, but his resolve to do so could be sorely tested. This is an erotic story of forced schoolgirl feminisation, including sexual scenes of masturbation, oral sex and feminisation. All characters depicted are over 18 years. Book Femininity and the History of Women s Education

Download or read book Femininity and the History of Women s Education written by Tim Allender and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2020-12-18 with total page 249 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book draws on recent deconstructions around the idea of ‘femininity’ as a social, racial and class construct and explores the diversity of spaces that may be defined as educational that range from institutional contexts to family, to professional outlooks, to racial identity, to defining community and religious groupings. It explores how notions of femininity change across time and place, and within individual lives. Such changes take place at the interface of external forces and individual agency. The application of the notion of ‘femininity’ that assumes a consistent definition of the term is interrogated by the authors, leading to a discussion of the rich possibilities for new directions in research into women’s lives across time, place, and individual life histories.

Book Affect and the Making of the Schoolgirl

Download or read book Affect and the Making of the Schoolgirl written by Melissa Joy Wolfe and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2021-09-20 with total page 162 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: By exploring the material-discursive production of gender norms in Australian secondary schools, this book offers a novel feminist posthuman new materialist perspective on how schoolgirls are pre-determined within educational space and place. The text ultimately illustrates how gender and race inequity is reproduced through presumptive thinking and a failure to recognize student potential. Affect and the Making of the Schoolgirl maps affective accounts of students’ everyday experiences in school spaces. Student negotiations with prescriptive processes of subject participation and subject selection are explored to illustrate how inequities are systematically reproduced. Chapters also offer an examination of STEM subject fields as entitled male space. Engaging theoretically with concepts from performative feminist new materialism and affect theory, the text highlights filmic semblances created as part of an onto-epistemological project, and calls for alternative educational encounters which affirmatively acknowledge difference and promote non-binary thinking. This text will benefit postgraduate researchers, academics, and scholars with an interest in gender and sexuality education, teacher education, STEM education, gender inequality, intersectionality, and the sociology of education. Those interested in gender studies, affect theory and feminist theory, as well as educational policy and politics more broadly will also benefit from this book.

Book Women s Periodicals and Print Culture in Britain 1918 1939

Download or read book Women s Periodicals and Print Culture in Britain 1918 1939 written by Catherine Clay and published by Edinburgh University Press. This book was released on 2017-11-22 with total page 518 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This collection of new essays recovers and explores a neglected archive of women's print media and dispels the myth of the interwar decades as a retreat to 'home and duty' for women. The volume demonstrates that women produced magazines and periodicals ranging in forms and appeal from highbrow to popular, private circulation to mass-market, and radical to reactionary. It shows that the 1920s and 1930s gave rise to a plurality of new challenges and opportunities for women as consumers, workers and citizens, as well as wives and mothers. Featuring interdisciplinary research by recognised specialists in the fields of literary and periodical studies as well as women's and cultural history, this volume recovers overlooked or marginalised media and archival sources, as well as reassessing well-known commercial titles. Designed as a 'go-to' resource both for readers new to the field and for specialists seeking the latest developments in this area of research, it opens up new directions and methodologies for modern periodical studies and cultural history.

Book Women and Scottish Society 1700 2000

Download or read book Women and Scottish Society 1700 2000 written by W.W.J. Knox and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2021-05-03 with total page 228 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book attempts to cover all the important aspects of a woman’s life in Scotland, examining how and why it changed over the last 300 years. It walks us through the day-to-day existence of Scottish women and in doing so covers areas such as family and household, education, work and politics, religion and sexuality, crime and punishment. While sensitive to the differences among women, regarding colour, class and sexuality, the book seeks to establish a close and reciprocal relationship between women’s history and gender history; the first delineating the struggles of women for parity with men in economic, legal and political spheres; the second, as means of unravelling the continuing ways in which power is unequally distributed within the home, the workplace and in institutions, and in contesting the male-centred narratives of the past.

Book Women and the Collaborative Art of Gardens

Download or read book Women and the Collaborative Art of Gardens written by Victoria E. Pagán and published by Taylor & Francis. This book was released on 2023-11-30 with total page 222 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Women and the Collaborative Art of Gardens explores the garden and its agency in the history of the built and natural environments, as evidenced in landscape architecture, literature, art, archaeology, history, photography, and film. Throughout the book, each chapter centers the act of collaboration, from garden clubs of the early twentieth century as powerful models of women’s leadership, to the more intimate partnerships between family members, to the delicate relationship between artist and subject. Women emerge in every chapter, whether as gardeners, designers, owners, writers, illustrators, photographers, filmmakers, or subjects, but the contributors to this dynamic collection unseat common assumptions about the role of women in gardens to make manifest the significant ways in which women write themselves into the accounts of garden design, practice, and history. The book reveals the power of gardens to shape human existence, even as humans shape gardens and their representations in a variety of media, including brilliantly illuminated manuscripts, intricately carved architectural spaces, wall paintings, black and white photographs, and wood cuts. Ultimately, the volume reveals that gardens are best apprehended when understood as products of collaboration. The book will be of interest to scholars and students of gardens and culture, ancient Rome, art history, British literature, medieval France, film studies, women’s studies, photography, African American Studies, and landscape architecture.

  • Pages : 226 pages

Download or read book Philip Larkin written by Stephen Cooper and published by Liverpool University Press. This book was released on 2004-10-10 with total page 226 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Overturning many of the established perspectives on Larkin's poetry and prose, Cooper's book presents new evidence from a range of previously unpublished sources, and is the first full-length critical work to analyse Larkin's early fiction, as well as advancing new readings of The Less Deceived', The Whitsun Weddings' and High Windows'. Critics have tended to label Larkin's poetry as sexist, racist and reactionary. However, this volume demonstrates that Larkin's artistic impulse throughout his career was to challenge orthodox models of social and sexual politics. Focusing on the Brunette Coleman novellas and the unfinished novels, a structural blueprint is identified as prefiguring the later poems' commentary on sexual and social conduct. Further unpublished material includes correspondence, workbook drafts, dream records, and a playscript, depicting, alternately, hostility to wartime heroics, revulsion from capitalism, unease with traditional gender roles and an interest in psychoanalysis. This study makes available to scholars paintings by Larkin's friend, James Sutton, which illuminate the writer's concern with social oppression, especially the predicament of women in the 1940s. This is a fresh and revealing study on Larkin's artistic subversion; stylistic and thematic, it reveals the underlying themes of Larkin's entire oeuvre.

Book Involvement and Attitude in Japanese Discourse

Download or read book Involvement and Attitude in Japanese Discourse written by Naomi Ogi and published by John Benjamins Publishing Company. This book was released on 2017-01-19 with total page 232 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book addresses the long discussed issue of Japanese interactive markers (traditionally called sentence-final particles) in a new light, and provides the comprehensive linguistic documentation of the interactional functions of seven interactive markers: ne, na, yo, sa, wa, zo and ze. By adopting three key notions, ‘involvement’, ‘formality’ and ‘gender’, the study not only reveals the functions and pragmatic effects of each marker, but also sheds light on some fundamental issues of the nature of spoken discourse in general, including how speakers collaborate with each other to create and sustain their conversations and how linguistic functions of verbal forms interface with sociocultural norms. This book will be of interest to students and scholars in a wide range of linguistic fields such as Japanese linguistics, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, discourse analysis and applied linguistics and to teachers and learners of Japanese and of a second/foreign language.
