Download or read book The Car Salesman s Bible written by Ron Vest and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2016-08-22 with total page 80 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: One of the greatest compliments I have ever received came very unexpectedly. I had been in the car business for about 20 years and had personally trained over 300 salespeople. The same training you are about to receive. I was just hired as the general manager of a dealership and was holding my first meeting with the salespeople. I was making the point that following a process is extremely important and I listed the steps in the sales training that are in this book. One of the salespeople raised their hand, took out a folded up piece of paper, and read the steps of the sales process I had just listed. I asked him where he got that from and he said that salespeople had been passing it around for years because they never received better training from their employers. That is the reason for this book. To give the person who wants to be a professional car salesperson a map on how to achieve success. This book is very extensive and was written for the new hire as well as the seasoned pro. I truly hope this becomes a tool that you use often and you have the discipline to follow the process. In other words, I hope this becomes The Car Salesman's Bible. Best regards, Ron

Book excerpt: Preston Clearwater has been a criminal since stealing two chain saws and 1600 pairs of aviator sunglasses from the Army during the Second World War. Back on the road in post-war North Carolina, a member of a car-theft ring, he picks up hitch-hiking Henry Dampier, an innocent nineteen-year-old Bible salesman. Clearwater immediately recognizes Henry as just the associate he needs -- one who will believe is working as an F.B.I. spy; one who will drive the cars Clearwater steals as Clearwater follows along in another car at a safe distance. Henry joyfully sees a chance to lead a dual life as Bible salesman and a G-man. During his hilarious and scary adventures we learn of Henry's fundamentalist youth, an upbringing that doesn't prepare him for his new life. As he falls in love and questions his religious training, Henry begins to see he's being used -- that the fun and games are over, that he is on his own in a way he never imagined.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The runaway bestseller with more than five million copies in print! You too can change your life with the priceless wisdom of ten ancient scrolls handed down for thousands of years. “Every sales manager should read The Greatest Salesman in the World. It is a book to keep at the bedside, or on the living room table—a book to dip into as needed, to browse in now and then, to enjoy in small stimulating portions. It is a book for the hours and for the years, a book to turn to over and over again, as to a friend, a book of moral, spiritual and ethical guidance, an unfailing source of comfort and inspiration.”—Lester J. Bradshaw, Jr., Former Dean, Dale Carnegie Institute of Effective Speaking & Human Relations “I have read almost every book that has ever been written on salesmanship, but I think Og Mandino has captured all of them in The Greatest Salesman in the World. No one who follows these principles will ever fail as a salesman, and no one will ever be truly great without them; but, the author has done more than present the principles—he has woven them into the fabric of one of the most fascinating stories I have ever read.”—Paul J. Meyer, President of Success Motivation Institute, Inc. “I was overwhelmed by The Greatest Salesman in the World. It is, without doubt, the greatest and the most touching story I have ever read. It is so good that there are two musts that I would attach to it: First, you must not lay it down until you have finished it; and secondly, every individual who sells anything, and that includes us all, must read it.”—Robert B. Hensley, President, Life Insurance Co. of Kentucky

Book excerpt: Being a Christian sales person is going to be tricky. That's what I thought as I entered my first professional sales position. In retrospect, my life as a Christian sales person was confusing, gut-wrenchingly difficult, frustrating, and wonderfully rewarding. I dealt with questions that you may also face: - How do I balance the need to get results with the Christian ethic of leaving the outcomes to Christ? - Where do I go for support and encouragement in a church where I'm seen as a second class citizen? - How and when do I voice my beliefs on the job, when my employer is not paying me to do that? - How do I maintain my perspective when some of the professional Christians around me are so much more manipulative and deceitful than any secular acquaintance? - How do I maintain my Christian ethics inside a company that supports just the opposite? - How do I grow a consulting practice with no resources and no network? Here's my story.

Download or read book Perfume in the Bible written by Charles S Sell and published by Royal Society of Chemistry. This book was released on 2019-07-26 with total page 156 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Perfume is part of the biblical text from Genesis through to Revelation, just as perfume pervades our modern life. Identifying the ingredients used in biblical times is difficult when information and meaning is lost in ancient languages. As expected, biblical perfumes were made from natural products but the range employed is surprisingly different from those of modern perfumes. The biblical ingredients are either defensive substances or products of decay, opening up an avenue of speculation as to why this is so. Charles Sell started his research into this area whilst working at Givaudan, the world’s leading manufacturer of perfumes and flavours. The introductory chapter of this book gives a brief outline of the history of the Bible lands, paving the way to understanding the difficulties in identifying exactly which plant sources the original authors meant. Other chapters discuss how plants make chemicals and how the sense of smell functions. The book explores the preparation, storage and uses of perfume, both sacred and secular, and compares and contrasts biblical perfumes with their modern equivalents. It recounts some interesting biblical events involving perfume ranging from courtship through seduction to prostitution and murder. The use of beautiful images from the windows of Canterbury Cathedral, where the author is a guide, illustrate some of the people and events in the biblical accounts and enable visualization of the historical uses of perfumes. The book is aimed at a broad audience and requires no prior specialised knowledge. The subject matter will be of interest to everyone, including chemists and general scientists, historians, those interested in perfumery, those interested in religious studies, and anyone interested in exploring chemistry in the world of art and the creative professions.
