Although the author uses many scriptural verses to support the book’s thesis, it does not simply rely on scripture, but relies on probability science and rationale to draw conclusions while showing consistency with and support of scripture. Although the author is convinced that the bible is the infallible Word of God and believes in biblical Christianity, he is very critical of denominational Christianity and other religions including pseudo-science and other religions that masquerade as secular entities. He believes that the rapid and virtually complete secularization of our society has only been possible because of the many false foundations that have been established and accepted as fact when they are completely false and destructive. Those false foundations justify and support many evils that have been and are being promoted in America. The book discusses the situation in which America finds itself where we are being destroyed and are near the point of no return. The book addresses the current political situation and the upcoming presidential election. The final chapter of the book is to encourage skeptics to believe the truth of the bible through rational evidence. Although this book should connect well with Christians, it is hoped that the rational approach taken would attract atheists, agnostics, and skeptics as well as pastors and religious leaders. Pastors and religious leaders are encouraged to teach the full council of God by relating scriptural principles to our evil culture and even go so far as to attack the false foundations that are making the gospel irrelevant or addressing the contaminated soil that prevents the gospel seeds from germinating.

It contributes to knowledge of the history, development, and ways in which early modern writings are read and understood by Muslims. By mapping the literary and more broadly cultural consequences of the censure, translation and abridgement of Milton’s works in the Arab-Muslim world, this book analyses the diverse ways in which Arab-Muslims read and understand a range of literary and religious aspects of Milton’s writing in light of cultural, theological, socio-political, linguistic and translational issues. After providing an overview of the presence of Milton and his works in the Arab world, each chapter sheds light on how cultural and translational issues shape the ways in which Arab-Muslim readers perceive and understand the characters and motifs of Paradise Lost. Chapters outline the ways in which the figures are currently understood in Milton scholarship, before exploring how they fit into the narrative drama and theology of the poem, and their position in Islamic creed and Arab-Muslim culture. Concurrently, each chapter examines the poem’s subject matter in detail, placing particular emphasis on matters of linguistic, theological and cultural translation and accommodation. Chapter conclusions not only summarise the patterns and potentialities of reception, but point towards the practical functions of Arab-Muslim responses to Milton’s writing and their contribution to the formation of social ideas.

Jurists of the nascent Maliki, Hanafi, and Shafi‘i legal schools frequently compared marriage to purchase and divorce to manumission. Juggling scripture, precedent, and custom on one hand, and the requirements of logical consistency on the other, legal scholars engaged in vigorous debate. The emerging consensus demonstrated a self-perpetuating analogy between a husband’s status as master and a wife’s as slave, even as jurists insisted on the dignity of free women and, increasingly, the masculine rights of enslaved husbands. Marriage and Slavery in Early Islam presents the first systematic analysis of how these jurists conceptualized marriage—its rights and obligations—using the same rhetoric of ownership used to describe slavery. Kecia Ali explores parallels between marriage and concubinage that legitimized sex and legitimated offspring using eighth- through tenth-century legal texts. As the jurists discussed claims spouses could make on each other—including dower, sex, obedience, and companionship–they returned repeatedly to issues of legal status: wife and concubine, slave and free, male and female.
