Download or read book The Economic System of Islam written by Mirza Bashir-ud-Din Mahmud Ahmad and published by Islam International Publications Ltd. This book was released on 2013-06-01 with total page 162 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Economic System of Islam, is an English version of a lecture delivered in Urdu by Hazrat Mirza Bashir-ud-Din Mahmud Ahmad, the Second Khalifah Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community to a gathering of academia in Lahore, Pakistan, in 1945. The book presents a detailed account of the teachings of Islam regarding the system of economics. It demonstrates that economic system of Islam is placed within the broader teachings of Islam, with the objective of attaining the pleasure of Allah and everlasting bliss in the Hereafter. It provides for a healthy and progressive society in which the basic needs of all are met, and incentives for achieving excellence are provided, with due regard to justice and fair play. The lecture then makes a critical evaluation of the economic aspects of Communism. It provides ample evidence that Communism has failed in its pretensions of promoting justice and equality both within its own borders and in international affairs. It brings out serious objections against Communism from a religious point of view, and cites three prophecies about the decline of Communism.
Download or read book Understanding End Times Prophecy written by Paul Benware and published by Moody Publishers. This book was released on 2006-05-01 with total page 282 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many Christians think of end times prophecy as a gigantic, intimidating puzzle -- difficult to piece together and impossible to figure out. But every puzzle can be solved if you approach it the right way. Paul Benware compares prophecy to a picture puzzle. Putting the edge pieces together first builds the 'framework' that makes it easier to fit the other pieces in their place. According to Benware, the framework for eschatology is the biblical covenants. He begins his comprehensive survey by explaining the major covenants. Then he discusses several different interpretations of end times prophecy. Benware digs into the details of the Rapture, the Great Tribulation, the judgements and resurrections, and the millennial kingdom. But he also adds a unique, personal element to the study, answering questions as: -Why study bible prophecy? -What difference does it make if I'm premillenial or amillenial? If what the Bible says about the future puzzles you, Understanding End Times Prophecy will help you put together the pieces and see the big picture.

An increase in natural catastrophes. The revival of Satanism and witchcraft. Download or read book The Sure Word of Prophecy written by John W. Bradbury and published by Solid Christian Books. This book was released on 2016-05-23 with total page 311 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Christian eschatology and prophecy are interwoven in the teachings of the Bible to such an extent that the knowledge of the first is limited to the extent that we comprehend the second. Every doctrine of the Christian faith has its conclusion or culmination in that future which is the burden of Biblical prophecy. An ignorance of this prophecy, or any perversion of it, seriously affects one’s concept of the pure faith. It is for this reason, therefore, that a clear Biblical expression concerning prophecy is necessary. Especially is it needed because confusion is increasing among Christians with regard to trustworthy teaching of prophecy, leading, as is usual in such cases, to lessened certainty in testimony and to decreased evangelistic zeal in winning the lost to Christ. With a view to rendering service to the Lord Jesus Christ and His Church, a group of believers, assisted or counselled by many well-known and trusted Bible teachers, decided to call a conference on the Christian faith in its relation to prophecy. Because of its wide capacity organizationally, its peculiar fitness to promote such a conference, and its ability to distribute benefits derived therefrom, the sponsorship rested with the American Board of Missions to the Jews. Under the direction of its energetic and capable secretary, Dr. Joseph Hoffman Cohn, the program for a Congress on Prophecy was carefully arranged and it was carried out in the Calvary Baptist Church, New York City, November 1-8, 1942.
Download or read book Bringing God Up to Date written by John Hunt and published by John Hunt Publishing. This book was released on 2021-10-29 with total page 301 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Religion is an essential part of our humanity. We all follow some form of religion, in the original meaning of the word. But organized religion establishes definitions, boundaries and hierarchies which the founders would be amazed by. This is perhaps more true of Christianity than most other religions, due to the short life of Jesus, his sudden death, the lack of any contemporary records. His teaching about the kingdom of God is great; it could see us through our time on earth. But his followers watered it down and soon lost it altogether. It became a kingdom in heaven for the few, rather than one here and now for everyone. The Church, or Churches, that resulted became increasingly irrelevant, even a hindrance, to seeing it realized. Many will always find security and truth in the traditions that developed, and good for them. But for those who can't, for those who have given up on religion or never thought it worth considering, the original teachings are worth another look. If we could recover them and live by them, we could change ourselves and the world for the better. We could bring God up to date.
