Book Mindset Revolution

    Book Details:
  • Author : Oscar Bimpong
  • Publisher :
  • Release : 2021-03-29
  • ISBN : 9781838417505
  • Pages : 234 pages

Download or read book Mindset Revolution written by Oscar Bimpong and published by . This book was released on 2021-03-29 with total page 234 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This Book Outlines.........●The creative power of your thoughts and words.●The power of the mind and how it works.●The programming of the mind and its adverse effects.●How to get your mind out of prison and put it on a purposeful path.●How to be a slave to a winning mentality thereby creating the destiny you want. etc. The biggest and the most dangerous form of prison is not those in physical prison but a mind that is in prison. Some people are in a physical prison, but their minds are not in prison and some have freedom, but their minds are in prison. That is why a prisoner can be released from prison and become successful but the one who has never been to prison will still be struggling. The power of the mind has been underestimated for far too long. Many don't work on their mind. The mind is like a muscle, the more you work on it, the tougher it becomes to handle difficult and challenging situations that can cause you to quit in pursuit of life and your vision. The reason many succumb to challenges in life is that they haven't trained their mind to handle the battles they encounter. Success and failure start in the mind. You are already defeated or successful in your mind before you take a step. This is the reason why some people can have all the resources needed in pursuit of their vision but still fail because their mind is not set to succeed. That is, they doubt their abilities and that becomes established in real life that impacts their success. Others also can have scarce resources but because of their winning mentality, they can use it to build their vision to a successful venture. This means that lack of success is not a means to success likewise an abundance of resources. Therefore, your mindset is very critical to your success in life irrespective of the resources at your disposal. This book teaches you how to work on your mind and to use your mind to build a strong foundation for a successful venture. I want to reiterate the fact that everyone one of us are programmed in one way or the other. The worse form of programming is the programming of the mind. That is when the mind is designed to work on autopilot where a person acts consciously or unconsciously especially on a negative thought. A typical example is a negative affirmation of a phrase like 'it's not easy' consciously or unconsciously. When your thoughts become your words, it transitions to the level when your actions lead to a habitual lifestyle that can eventually lead to your character, which will define your destiny. This is why this book is designed to work on your mind to move you from the prison of the mind to a purposeful life where you positively impact your life, community and the world at large. Your destiny is in your own hands depending on what mindset you develop. Develop a mindset that drives a winning mentality and success in the pursuit of your life and vision will be a lifestyle.Remember, it's possible if only you believe.

Book The Digital Mind

    Book Details:
  • Author : Arlindo Oliveira
  • Publisher : MIT Press
  • Release : 2018-03-09
  • ISBN : 0262535238
  • Pages : 341 pages

Download or read book The Digital Mind written by Arlindo Oliveira and published by MIT Press. This book was released on 2018-03-09 with total page 341 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How developments in science and technology may enable the emergence of purely digital minds—intelligent machines equal to or greater in power than the human brain. What do computers, cells, and brains have in common? Computers are electronic devices designed by humans; cells are biological entities crafted by evolution; brains are the containers and creators of our minds. But all are, in one way or another, information-processing devices. The power of the human brain is, so far, unequaled by any existing machine or known living being. Over eons of evolution, the brain has enabled us to develop tools and technology to make our lives easier. Our brains have even allowed us to develop computers that are almost as powerful as the human brain itself. In this book, Arlindo Oliveira describes how advances in science and technology could enable us to create digital minds. Exponential growth is a pattern built deep into the scheme of life, but technological change now promises to outstrip even evolutionary change. Oliveira describes technological and scientific advances that range from the discovery of laws that control the behavior of the electromagnetic fields to the development of computers. He calls natural selection the ultimate algorithm, discusses genetics and the evolution of the central nervous system, and describes the role that computer imaging has played in understanding and modeling the brain. Having considered the behavior of the unique system that creates a mind, he turns to an unavoidable question: Is the human brain the only system that can host a mind? If digital minds come into existence—and, Oliveira says, it is difficult to argue that they will not—what are the social, legal, and ethical implications? Will digital minds be our partners, or our rivals?

Book The Design and Engineering of Curiosity

It is a one-ton robot with two brains, seventeen cameras, six wheels, nuclear power, and a laser beam on its head. No one human understands how all of its systems and instruments work. This essential reference to the Curiosity mission explains the engineering behind every system on the rover, from its rocket-powered jetpack to its radioisotope thermoelectric generator to its fiendishly complex sample handling system. Its lavishly illustrated text explains how all the instruments work -- its cameras, spectrometers, sample-cooking oven, and weather station -- and describes the instruments' abilities and limitations. It tells you how the systems have functioned on Mars, and how scientists and engineers have worked around problems developed on a faraway planet: holey wheels and broken focus lasers. And it explains the grueling mission operations schedule that keeps the rover working day in and day out.

Book Mind in Everyday Life and Cognitive Science

Download or read book Mind in Everyday Life and Cognitive Science written by Sunny Y. Auyang and published by MIT Press. This book was released on 2001-03-15 with total page 556 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Sunny Auyang tackles what she calls "the large pictures of the human mind," exploring the relevance of cognitive science findings to everyday mental life. Auyang proposes a model of an "open mind emerging from the self-organization of infrastructures," which she opposes to prevalent models that treat mind as a disembodied brain or computer, subject to the control of external agents such as neuroscientists and programmers. Although cognitive science has obtained abundant data on neural and computational processes, it barely explains such ordinary experiences as recognizing faces, feeling pain, or remembering the past. In this book Sunny Auyang tackles what she calls "the large pictures of the human mind," exploring the relevance of cognitive science findings to everyday mental life. Auyang proposes a model of an "open mind emerging from the self-organization of infrastructures," which she opposes to prevalent models that treat mind as a disembodied brain or computer, subject to the control of external agents such as neuroscientists and programmers. Her model consists of three parts: (1) the open mind of our conscious life; (2) mind's infrastructure, the unconscious processes studied by cognitive science; and (3) emergence, the relation between the open mind and its infrastructure. At the heart of Auyang's model is the mind that opens to the world and makes it intelligible. A person with an open mind feels, thinks, recognizes, believes, doubts, anticipates, fears, speaks, and listens, and is aware of I, together with it and thou. Cognitive scientists refer to the "binding problem," the question of how myriad unconscious processes combine into the unity of consciousness. Auyang approaches the problem from the other end—by starting with everyday experience rather than with the mental infrastructure. In so doing, she shows both how analyses of experiences can help to advance cognitive science and how cognitive science can help us to understand ourselves as autonomous subjects.

Book Hard Realities India Pakistan China in an Emerging New World

Download or read book Hard Realities India Pakistan China in an Emerging New World written by Dr. Amarjit Singh and published by Lancer Publishers LLC. This book was released on 2019-12-26 with total page 409 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Hard Realities presents ideology and strategies for Indian pre-eminence. Some of the interesting takeaways are:– Irrefutably, Pakistan’s existence is not in India’s interest. The time is ripe for dismantling Pakistan as India’s neighbor. Thus, Baluchistan, Sindh, West Punjab, and Kashmir must spin out of Pakistan in different ways, while the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) must be legitimately returned to Afghanistan. Consequently, India has no choice but to prepare its forces with a sense of urgency for the upcoming world economic disruption in the 2020s. However, India has shortcomings, such as historical failures by the Indian leaders to strategize properly with respect to Pakistan and China; deficient investment in engineering disciplines, and failure to boost its economy timely through indigenous defense production. Mostly, India’s personality is inappreciable. Moreover, India’s approach to China must be unambiguous that Tibet and Xinjiang are not a part of China. As such, India will not share a border with China. But, at present, China is running circles around India, and only technological development of high quality engineering talent will help India. India has a majorly tough row to hoe as a nation. Its 2.5 to 3-front war is its own creation. Though the destiny of nations is a potent force, India must not be found wanting when it comes to singly defending its military and economic independence.
