Implementing net zero energy in the tourism industry has numerous advantages, including reduced energy consumption and costs, improved guest experience, and environmental stewardship (Sandoval et al., 2021). However, there are obstacles to its adoption, such as expense, a lack of knowledge and competence, and aversion to change (Sandoval et al., 2021). Despite these obstacles, the use of net zero energy in the tourism industry is gaining popularity as a result of rising concern about global climate change and the need for sustainable development (Sandoval et al., 2021).A net zero energy resort provides a distinct and appealing experience for environmentally aware guests while simultaneously lowering carbon emissions and operational costs. As a result, net zero energy resorts offer a promising path for sustainable tourism development and serve as a model for integrating green technology into the hospitality sector.
