",- which was done. … Before this "Catechism" of St. Peter there were ancient confessions and statements of faith against ancient heresies, and catechisms that were written after the fall of the Roman Church. But since the 16th century, the situation has changed, since Protestantism arose in the West and the previous beliefs became insufficient: they did not give answers to new questions and did not have information about new delusions.
