Download or read book The Moments When I Met God written by Jagadeesh Pillai and published by Notion Press. This book was released on with total page 101 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "“Beyond Spirituality and Philosophy of Religion” There are many myths, religions and beliefs related to God that are prevalent in our society. Based on them, there are temples, churches, mosques and many such places, where one can feel the divinity of God. Still, knowing and understanding God remains a mystery. Both believers and non-believers have a question about God's existence, shape, form, etc. Even if there exists a form, how can one perceive it? No one has seen nor understood his real form. But faith in God is purely blind. The reason is that everyone believes that there is an omnipotent and omnipresent power, which is ruling the world. People have different concepts of God; according to me, where all those concepts of God meet, the real God manifests. Whenever I need motivation, a helping hand or guidance, I take recourse to God and my concept of God has manifested in various occasion/situations in my life. These manifestations have helped me in my life to become successful and have changed me from a common man to an uncommon with multiple talents and all that I have ever longed for. In this book, I wish to share my experiences and my realization of those manifestations. "
Download or read book Don t Miss the Moment written by Sheryl Brady and published by Thomas Nelson. This book was released on 2020-03-17 with total page 225 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Pastor and popular Bible teacher Sheryl Brady helps Christians prepare for, recognize, and cultivate the powerful yet easily overlooked moments when God shows up in their lives. Everyone experiences God moments, times when God pulls back the curtain and gives a glimpse of his active presence in their lives. Most of us operate under the misapprehension that these moments are rare occurrences that reveal themselves in grand fashion. We expect bells ringing, lights flashing, and neon signs that point to earthshaking revelations. But God often speaks in whispers, strategically and incrementally unveiling his plans, preparations, and purposes through the most unassuming circumstances. The key is to learn how to prepare for, recognize, and be faithful in these moments. In Don’t Miss the Moment, Pastor Sheryl Brady reminds Christians that God is real and unwaveringly present in our daily lives. Through biblical teaching and personal stories of God showing up in times of need, she shows how to pursue deeper relationship with the Faithful One so that we can learn to hear his voice and feel his leading, discern when we are in a defining moment, and redirect our hearts and lives toward his plans and purposes.
Download or read book God Moments written by Andy Otto and published by Ave Maria Press. This book was released on 2017-04-07 with total page 128 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Where do you seek God? Are you waiting for him to appear in a monumental, life-altering event? In God Moments, Catholic blogger Andy Otto shows you how to discover the unexpected beauty of God’s presence in the story of ordinary things and in everyday routines like preparing breakfast or walking in the woods. Drawing on the Ignatian principles of awareness, prayer, and discernment, Otto will help you discover the transforming power of God’s presence in your life and better understand your place in the world. Andy Otto found God’s presence in surprising moments during his life—when, as a Jesuit scholastic, he taught children in Jamaica and also as he discerned the call to marriage with his wife. By combining elements of Ignatian spirituality with the lessons that came from his experiences, Otto identified three practices that helped him find God in all things: Awareness—Gain an understanding that God is present in the ordinary messiness of our lives such as battle with depression or sharing in the struggle of a friend. Prayer—Develop a prayer life using Ignatian practices such as asking for a morning grace and examining how your prayer was answered at the end of the day. That way you can focus on a personal relationship with God that finds everyday physical activities such as making a meal as an opportunity to talk to him. Discernment—The more you are aware of God’s presence and draw closer to him in prayer, the better you can learn how to plug into God’s narrative of the world in a way that enables you to participate in the divine story through the use of your gifts and talents. With God Moments as a guide, you’ll have a better understanding of how to seek personal wholeness in the reality of God’s presence in the ordinary and learn to accept his invitation to participate in his transformation of the world.

This book was released on 2015-09-16 with total page 257 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Throughout time, leaders at the pinnacle of power - popes and kings, presidents and prime ministers, czars and generals - have subscribed to the belief that they can change the course of history, not by the force of arms, but through charm, skillful negotiation, honesty, deceit, and all the other arts of peaceful human exchange. Award-winning author Charles L. Mee Jr. reproduces seven singular moments when heads of state have come together to decide the future of the world. He examines the uses of summitry, from the directness of Pope Leo's confrontation with Attila the Hun near Rome to Henry VIII and Francis I's meeting on the Field of the Cloth of Gold; from the surprise encounter between Cortés and Moctezuma to the intricacies negotiated by Metternich and Talleyrand at the Congress of Vienna; from the ironies of Wilson, Clemenceau and Lloyd George's summit at the Paris Peace Conference to the unintended consequences of Churchill, Stalin, and Roosevelt's gathering at Yalta; and finally to Gorbachev's desperate appeal to the G7 nations in London to be included in their powerful club. Mee peeks through the curtains of diplomacy to reveal the hidden agendas and the glorious personalities at work. Taken together, these seven fateful moments are bracing and humbling reminders of the enormous complexity and mystery of human affairs.

No one could have an opinion about anything because there were neither angels and human beings nor any other creations existing. There was no one who could say and no one who could listen something about love. There was absolute silence. Even there has been such a time, when not even a concept of love was existing. There was only one who could give birth to love, life and beauty. It was God, our beloved Heavenly Father. I was a small child when I got to know God. God travelled together with me in countless heavens. In this book I have revealed my observations and experiences with God, so mankind can recognize who God really is. Throughout human history the ignorance of mankind has brought many invisible curtains between God and human beings. However, our present time is significant that morning is near to take over this deep dark night This book will give you a deep understanding about who God is and our purpose of life.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Do you ever wonder what the Bible means when referring to the mighty hand of God or how His hand would apply to your own life? Matt Buckles and his daughter Kendra Watson, both devoted believers, weave biblical references to the hand of God with real-life stories to ignite the faith of believers and to inspire nonbelievers to find the Lord. They reveal how the hand of God is still at work, showing the truth of what is in God’s heart and how He keeps His promises to those who believe. They also answer questions such as: • How can we make a spiritual connection between the biblical account of God’s hand at work to His hand upon us today? • What can we learn from examples that seem to suggest we are trapped in a downward spiral of humanity? • How can we defend the historical Christian faith and oppose the progressive, deadly version of it? Fellow believers must unite to trust, love, and serve our Heavenly Father, who seeks to work in each one of you, as He has done in us. By spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ and extending His kingdom through discipleship, you’ll be carrying out what God wants you to know and do.
Download or read book Martin Buber on Myth RLE Myth written by S. Daniel Breslauer and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2015-03-05 with total page 209 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book, first published in 1990, summarizes and evaluates the contribution of Martin Buber as a theorist of myth. Buber provides explicit guidelines for understanding and evaluating myths. He describes reality as twofold: people live either in a world of things, to which they relate as a subject controlling its objects, or in a world of self-conscious others, with whom one relates as fellow subjects. Human beings require both types of reality, but also a means of moving from one to the other. Buber understands myths as one such means by which people pass from I-It reality to I-You meeting. In studying myths, he focuses on the myths in the traditions he knows best, but offers his advice and interpretation of mythology and scholarship about mythology generally.
