These sectional divisions correspond to the natural divisions of the country; and, with scarcely an exception, have familiar Old Testament names descriptive of their physical as peets and relations. An obvious advantage of this arrangement is the opportunity it affords for studying the characteristic features, and historical associations of each Biblical site in connection with its natural environment.
