Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When I think of all my possessions to include any wealth in savings or retirement funds-my home and cars; my health, the strength of my body and mind; all that I have accomplished; my talents, titles, or degrees-is there anything that I can claim aside from the magnificent grace of God? Anything? For me, there is nothing that I can claim. Since I came into this world with nothing and will leave with nothing, I am but a steward of God, the One who owns it all. I am the King's keeper and accountable to the King. This King is my precious Savior, Jesus. To gain a better understanding of my role as steward, it is necessary for me to renew my mind and reflect upon what God's Word says about stewardship. To prepare for His return, the King's Keeper will help me discover: 1. those characteristics of the life of a good steward that are pleasing to the King and that will help me demonstrate faithful service without reason for question; 2. how I can steward God's creation; 3. how to steward myself and understand the proper alignment of the body, soul, and spirit for kingdom service; 4. how I can steward my time so that it is pleasing to my heavenly Father, being all about His business; 5. how I can take an honest look at my attitude and behavior concerning my possessions and come into alignment with the desires of the King; 6. how I can steward God's Word and be found faithfully administering the mysteries of the Word of God in love, always giving the glory to Him; 7. how I can steward God's manifold grace and be found fully operating in the gifts in which I have been given for kingdom service; 8. how I can engage my community as a kingdom representative; and 9. how I can tend to the precious relationships in which I have been trusted. A steward must always be ready for the master's return, and the King may return at any time!

Whether it’s in our jobs, our finances, or even our relationships, we all struggle to take ownership of our habits and choices. Yet personal accountability is essential to both our personal and spiritual growth. Based on the book of 1 Kings, this study offers a compelling contrast between those who are accountable to God and others, and those who continually shift the blame to others. Part of Dr. Warren W. Wiersbe’s best-selling “BE” commentary series, BE Responsible has now been updated with study questions and a new introduction by Ken Baugh. A respected pastor and Bible teacher, Dr. Wiersbe shares how our integrity is connected with responsibility, and encourages us to stay accountable in each part of our lives.

Book excerpt: The Steward King is a journey that looks at these three critical principals as major themes within the overview of Scripture and the theological truths to undergird this message of stewardship. The Bible was not written for all humanity, calling humanity back to Gods original purpose as Steward Kings. 1. Foundations for Humanity: Creation, Conscience & Character, Calling, Culture, Civilisation & Cities: This first section explores human foundations from a biblical perspective but with a practical application to mankind's early discoveries and the formation of worldviews leading up to the establishment of great civilisations. 2. A Turning Point for Humanity: Christ, Commissioned to the nations, the Counsellor: This section looks at the personality and person of Jesus Christ as a historical leader who influenced the foundation of human history by challenging many ancient assumptions about life, human purpose, and existence. Kumbukani C.Phiri is the national Director of Equip Zimbabwe an organization that trains leaders. He is the founder of Transformation Africa, an organization that empowers young people and he is a Pastor within Faith-Ministries Zimbabwe leading over 18 congregations within the denomination. Book Practicing the King s Economy

Download or read book Practicing the King s Economy written by Michael Rhodes and published by Baker Books. This book was released on 2018-04-17 with total page 320 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The church in the West is rediscovering the fact that God cares deeply for the poor. More and more, churches and individual Christians are looking for ways to practice economic discipleship, but it's hard to make progress when we are blind to our own entanglement in our culture's idolatrous economic beliefs and practices. Practicing the King's Economy cuts through much confusion and invites Christians to take their place within the biblical story of the "King Jesus Economy." Through eye-opening true stories of economic discipleship in action, and with a solid exploration of six key biblical themes, the authors offer practical ways for God's people to earn, invest, spend, compensate, save, share, and give in ways that embody God's love and provision for the world. Foreword by Christopher J. H. Wright.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: O wanderer, O man unrepentant, though you go about, seeking for that certainty as if it were a thing unknown, yet you could have known. Even Christ. But you are given to the inhabitation of the times, and that has carried the day for you. But there is another that shall come, even death, and his inhabitation shall take the times away from you. What worth your claim ignorance? For the glory of the Lord, even Christ Jesus, is it not to fill all the earth? But betaken with the times, you reject the glory of God. Yet to that one who is weary, repentance would have reconciled this one wanderer with a road back; in spite of the times. You have been beckoned all your life that you have a purpose. It was but for the glory of the Lord, your Creator. There is a drawing down to that inescapable day; and in that day the answer must be made.
