Book The Evolving Project

Download or read book The Evolving Project written by Igor Marjanović and published by Oro Editions. This book was released on 2021-04 with total page 300 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Through a selection of essays from the Journal of Architectural Education (JAE) and its seventy-five-year history, this volume showcases not only the development of a single publication but also the evolution and expansion of the entire discipline. This book celebrates the rich history of the JAE which is the longest continually running peer-reviewed journal in the discipline of architecture, as a major platform for the dissemination of new pedagogical and scholarly ideas. From discourses on drawing and design processes to issues of new media and the environment, The Evolving Project is a journey in space and time that documents the changing project of architectural education after World War II--namely its transformation from a professional training ground to an intellectual platform that allowed architectural educators to boldly engage the larger social, cultural, and political issues of their time.

Book Project Based Knowledge in Organizing Open Innovation

Download or read book Project Based Knowledge in Organizing Open Innovation written by Sara Bonesso and published by Springer. This book was released on 2014-07-10 with total page 107 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Enriching understanding of the current theoretical debate on project-based learning and R&D sourcing, ‘Project-based Knowledge in Organizing Open Innovation’ draws on innovation literature and knowledge-based perspectives to solve open problems in the relationship between knowledge development at project level and how firms organize product innovation combining in-house R&D activities with inbound open innovation. Through field research in different industrial settings (pharmaceutical, automotive and machine tools) and with complementary methodological approaches, this book provides empirical evidence on how project knowledge features affect sourcing decisions at firm level. Due to the emerging interest in the management literature on project-based organizations and on the relevance of project forms of organizing in a knowledge-based economy, this volume will appeal to scholars and students in business and management, in particular those in innovation management, organization theory and strategic management. Addressing the still open issue of how the firm level should be complemented by studies at the project level of analysis, this book provides theoretical and empirical arguments on the advantages of a more fine-grained level of analysis to understand how firms organize their innovation processes across boundaries.

Download or read book Project Safe Journal written by D. Belle and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2016-06-25 with total page 148 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: YOU FOUND IT... THE "NEW" PROJECT SAFE JOURNAL! 100 Journal Pages - Project Vault CompanionWhat is a Project Safe, and what does it do? Well... Project Safes are journals that are based on a simplified/modified "bullet journal" style journal format... But there's a story behind it...First things first...I've been on a search for the perfect journal for like the past 20 years! I remember being 18 years old & going into stores in the mall just looking at, & analyzing various journals. I found some great ones but never the "perfect" one if there is such a thing. Recently, I found the closest thing to it in bullet journaling, which I think is such an awesome, simple way to keep a journal. (If you are not familiar with "Bullet Journaling" we highly recommend you go over to BulletJournal.com to see how it works.) I had one one dilemna though. I am always working on projects constantly, and I needed a way to keep up with a project at home, at work, or wherever...So, I actually made my own "project journals" that basically forces me to keep up with any project I'm working on, and motivates me to finish my projects because of how it's designed, which is by using a sort of simplified "scrum master" process of asking yourself or someone else 4 very important questions about the project each time you make an entry about the project. If you work on a project everyday, then you're almost forced to finish it. Also, if you only make one journal entry on occasion, when you come back to the journal you'll be motivated to finish the project you were working on last.My mother once told me that she read that the most intelligent people in the WORLD keep a journal. I think that is 100% TRUE! Journals allow those people to learn from everything they've done, or from ways they thought about things, and grow from those things.Ok, so how does the Project Safe work? Well...PROJECT SAFES HAVE 5 MAIN SECTIONS... SECTION 1 - Use the INDEX PAGES to index all sections, topics, and projects. . SECTION 2 - Use the FUTURE LOG to document any tasks that need to be handled at a future date. SECTION 3 - Use the MONTHLY LOG to document any and all tasks that must be completed in the month specified. SECTION 4 - Use the DAILY LOG to document any and all tasks that must be completed in the day specified. (THERE ARE 90 DAILY LOGS IN THIS JOURNAL) SECTION 5 - Use the TOPICS/PROJECTS section to document any projects you are working on. (Works great as an index for the PROJECT VAULT!)Personally, we think the Project Safe is one of the best journal supplies you'll ever use, and since we developed the "Project Safe" as a companion to the Project Vault it's made to work right beside the Project Vault for your daily journaling needs, & it syncs very nicely with your Project Vault. To order the Project Vault to use with your Project Safe just scan the QR Code in this Journal or go over to Amazon and look for "Project Vault Journal". By the way, there are Project Vaults for projects you may have for just about ANY length of time. Ranging from 1 DAY to 1 YEAR Project Vaults. So, be sure to get what you need for your next upcoming projects! SO... GO NOW & GET YOUR VERY OWN PROJECT SAFE SO YOU CAN KEEP TRACK OF ALL OF YOUR DAYS, ALL OF YOUR PROJECTS, AND ALL OF YOUR LIFE!

Book Talking as Fast as I Can

Download or read book Talking as Fast as I Can written by Lauren Graham and published by Ballantine Books. This book was released on 2016-11-29 with total page 225 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • In this collection of personal essays, the beloved star of Gilmore Girls and Parenthood reveals stories about life, love, and working as a woman in Hollywood—along with behind-the-scenes dispatches from the set of the new Gilmore Girls, where she plays the fast-talking Lorelai Gilmore once again. With a new bonus chapter In Talking as Fast as I Can, Lauren Graham hits pause for a moment and looks back on her life, sharing laugh-out-loud stories about growing up, starting out as an actress, and, years later, sitting in her trailer on the Parenthood set and asking herself, “Did you, um, make it?” She opens up about the challenges of being single in Hollywood (“Strangers were worried about me; that’s how long I was single!”), the time she was asked to audition her butt for a role, and her experience being a judge on Project Runway (“It’s like I had a fashion-induced blackout”). In “What It Was Like, Part One,” Graham sits down for an epic Gilmore Girls marathon and reflects on being cast as the fast-talking Lorelai Gilmore. The essay “What It Was Like, Part Two” reveals how it felt to pick up the role again nine years later, and what doing so has meant to her. Some more things you will learn about Lauren: She once tried to go vegan just to bond with Ellen DeGeneres, she’s aware that meeting guys at awards shows has its pitfalls (“If you’re meeting someone for the first time after three hours of hair, makeup, and styling, you’ve already set the bar too high”), and she’s a card-carrying REI shopper (“My bungee cords now earn points!”). Including photos and excerpts from the diary Graham kept during the filming of the recent Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, this book is like a cozy night in, catching up with your best friend, laughing and swapping stories, and—of course—talking as fast as you can.
