Download or read book Reactions and Mechanisms in Thermal Analysis of Advanced Materials written by Atul Tiwari and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2015-07-29 with total page 660 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Strong bonds form stronger materials. For this reason, the investigation on thermal degradation of materials is a significantly important area in research and development activities. The analysis of thermal stability can be used to assess the behavior of materials in the aggressive environmental conditions, which in turn provides valuable information about the service life span of the materiel. Unlike other books published so far that have focused on either the fundamentals of thermal analysis or the degradation pattern of the materials, this book is specifically on the mechanism of degradation of materials. The mechanism of rapturing of chemical bonds as a result of exposure to high-temperature environment is difficult to study and resulting mechanistic pathway hard to establish. Limited information is available on this subject in the published literatures and difficult to excavate. Chapters in this book are contributed by the experts working on thermal degradation and analysis of the wide variety of advanced and traditional materials. Each chapter discusses the material, its possible application, behavior of chemical entities when exposed to high-temperature environment and mode and the mechanistic route of its decomposition. Such information is crucial while selecting the chemical ingredients during the synthesis or development of new materials technology.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The global biosensors industry is approaching towards multi-billion market. The modern biosensors market growth is driven by the continuous technological advancements in the biosensors ecosystem, increase in the use of biosensors for nonmedical applications, lucrative growth in point-of-care diagnostics, and rise in the demand for glucose monitoring systems. Increasing applications in diagnosis of various diseases and development of nanoparticle based electrochemical biosensors significantly stimulates growth of biosensors industry. The second volume of 'Advances in Biosensors: Reviews', Book Series contains six chapters written by 24 authors from 7 countries: Brazil, China, Denmark, Japan, South Africa, Sweden and Ukraine.
Download or read book Statistical Treatment of Analytical Data written by Zeev B. Alfassi and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2009-02-12 with total page 272 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Statistical techniques have assumed an integral role in both the interpretation and quality assessment of analytical results. In this book the range of statistical methods available for such tasks are described in detail, with the advantages and disadvantages of each technique clarified by use of examples. With a focus on the essential practical application of these techniques the book also includes sufficient theory to facilitate understanding of the statistical principles involved. Statistical Treatment of Analytical Data is written for professional analytical chemists in industry, government and research institutions who require a practical understanding of the application of statistics in day to day activities in the analytical laboratory. It is also for students who require further and detailed information that may not be available directly in a typical undergraduate course.
