This book was released on 2019-03-24 with total page 88 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Policymakers and program managers are continually seeking ways to improve accountability in achieving an entity's mission. A key factor in improving accountability in achieving an entity's mission is to implement an effective internal control system. An effective internal control system helps an entity adapt to shifting environments, evolving demands, changing risks, and new priorities. As programs change and entities strive to improve operational processes and implement new technology, management continually evaluates its internal control system so that it is effective and updated when necessary. Section 3512 (c) and (d) of Title 31 of the United States Code (commonly known as the Federal Managers? Financial Integrity Act (FMFIA)) requires the Comptroller General to issue standards for internal control in the federal government.

  • Pages : 0 pages

Download or read book UnFair written by Craig Bergman and published by . This book was released on 2014-10-14 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: UnFair reveals the truth about the abuses of power and the cover-ups by the IRS, exposing it as a blatantly unfair and corrupt entity which is unable to be reformed and, therefore, must be abolished. This book is firmly grounded in history, building on the arguments of the US Founders, along with many notable philosophers and other historical figures who have added to its greatness. The Founding Fathers wrote that when any form of government becomes destructive to the ability of the people to secure life, liberty, and property, it is the duty of the people to alter or abolish it. In UnFair, the author exposes the inner workings and dealings of the IRS--the agency charged with the enforcement of this egregious act of force and violence. It brings together multiple points of view in presenting the clear moral case, not only against excessive taxation, but to put these arguments into a focus that the very principles upon which this nation was founded are so abusively violated that a free people are compelled to rise up and reject them outright as unconscionable to the very foundation of absolute moral liberty.

Book The Great IRS Hoax Volume 1 Form 11 302

Download or read book The Great IRS Hoax Volume 1 Form 11 302 written by Family Guardian Fellowship and published by . This book was released on 2014-02-14 with total page 462 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Great IRS Hoax: Why We Don't Owe Income Tax is a an amazing documentary that exposes the deception that misguided or malicious "public servants" have foisted upon us all these years: "That we are liable for IRC Subtitle A income tax as American Nationals domiciled in the 50 states of the Union with earnings from within the 50 states of the Union that does not originate from the government and is not connected with the "trade or business" franchise."Through a detailed and very thorough analysis of both enacted law and IRS behavior unrefuted by any of the 100,000 people who have downloaded the book, including present and former (after they learn the truth!) employees of the Treasury and IRS, The Great IRS Hoax reveals why Subtitle A of the Internal Revenue Code is private law/special law that one only becomes subject to by consensually engaging in an excise taxable activity called a "trade or business", which is a defined as a "public office" in the U.S. government. It proves using the government's own statutes and publications and court rulings that for everyone domiciled in states of the Union who has not availed themselves of this excise taxable franchise/privilege of federal office, Subtitle A of the I.R.C. creates no force of obligation upon them to pay an income tax to the federal government. The book also explains how Social Security is the de facto mechanism by which "taxpayers" are recruited, and that the program is illegally administered and misrepresented in order to illegally expand federal jurisdiction into the states using private law.

Book The Whiteness of Wealth

Download or read book The Whiteness of Wealth written by Dorothy A. Brown and published by Crown. This book was released on 2022-03-22 with total page 289 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A groundbreaking exposé of racism in the American taxation system from a law professor and expert on tax policy NAMED ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR BY NPR AND FORTUNE • “Important reading for those who want to understand how inequality is built into the bedrock of American society, and what a more equitable future might look like.”—Ibram X. Kendi, #1 New York Times bestselling author of How to Be an Antiracist Dorothy A. Brown became a tax lawyer to get away from race. As a young black girl growing up in the South Bronx, she’d seen how racism limited the lives of her family and neighbors. Her law school classes offered a refreshing contrast: Tax law was about numbers, and the only color that mattered was green. But when Brown sat down to prepare tax returns for her parents, she found something strange: James and Dottie Brown, a plumber and a nurse, seemed to be paying an unusually high percentage of their income in taxes. When Brown became a law professor, she set out to understand why. In The Whiteness of Wealth, Brown draws on decades of cross-disciplinary research to show that tax law isn’t as color-blind as she’d once believed. She takes us into her adopted city of Atlanta, introducing us to families across the economic spectrum whose stories demonstrate how American tax law rewards the preferences and practices of white people while pushing black people further behind. From attending college to getting married to buying a home, black Americans find themselves at a financial disadvantage compared to their white peers. The results are an ever-increasing wealth gap and more black families shut out of the American dream. Solving the problem will require a wholesale rethinking of America’s tax code. But it will also require both black and white Americans to make different choices. This urgent, actionable book points the way forward.

Book Confessions of a Radical Tax Protestor

Download or read book Confessions of a Radical Tax Protestor written by Larry R. Williams and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2011-03-10 with total page 240 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Larry Williams has never backed away from authority, especially government authority - the U.S. or any other. Including two battles all the way to the Supreme Court. Libertarian, trader, would be politician, and Indiana Jones-like adventurer, Larry has gone wherever his spirit moved him and bucked state constraints whenever he found them stifling. Throughout his life, his rebellious spirit served him well - huge successes in trading, to adventures right out of a Graham Greene novel in Saudi Arabia, two boisterous runs for the U.S. Senate, a famous actress daughter entangled with an even more famous actor, a new grandchild - the life well lived that would be the envy of most people. Along the way, Larry became a tax protester in the spirit of John Cheek and Irwin Schiff. However, Larry was far too free a spirit to give up his freedom for his beliefs, and figured that he was smarter than the zealot tax protesters now making license plates, particularly after meeting a man with an actual and real document from the IRS acknowledging the legitimacy of a certain kind of trust. But things are not always what they seem. Annoying letters from the IRS called for hiring an attorney to "work things out," which he thought (based on the bills he was paying) was in the works. Enjoying a pleasant flight in first class from South Africa to Australia, Larry, at the age of 64 with a new granddaughter and 5 children settled in successful lives of their own, reflected that life was pretty sweet. Then his plane landed in Australia and he was summarily arrested and jailed and taken to prison There began a nearly 4 year fight for his freedom at a huge financial cost; worse was the toll it took on his psyche. This is the story of Larry's war with the IRS and U.S. Dept. of Treasury and inside view of the world of tax protesters. Larry explains why the tax protest movement exists, where it is dead wrong and why it will most often lead followers to prison. He also weighs in on what can be done to correct the unfairness of the tax codes, and why tax rates are so astronomical, that the 'fair share' idea should be applied to what is the 'fair share' of your income the government is 'entitled' to.

Book The Treasury

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Treasury - Synopsis It is the end of the IRS as we know it when a senior member of the US Treasury Department gets caught in a clever scheme to extort nearly a billion dollars from unsuspecting taxpayers. If you think this can't happen, think again. Arthur Cambridge hates the Government. Ever since his father died in the middle of a bogus Tax Court hearing, he swore he would take revenge on the IRS. When Arthur's former boss at the CIA was appointed by President Bill Perkins to the position of Treasury Secretary, he was brought in as Deputy Treasury Secretary, responsible for the IRS. Perfect, he thought. He in turn gets in touch with a former CIA operative, named Michelle Kiplinger, whom he worked with at the CIA. He sets her up in a company called GES Resource Consulting, a front for his elaborate extortion scheme. GES stands for Government Employment Service which was established to recruit convicted felons who had some financial or accounting background and get them hired as Revenue Agents at the IRS. They became part of the extortion ring, code-named Pegasus, set up by Arthur. Using a clever means of extorting money from unsuspecting taxpayers, the organization sets out to build a network of over a hundred agents, who together rake in an incredible fortune, all deposited in Cayman Island bank accounts. Toni Perelli was one such revenue agent. While traveling to Gary Decker's house one evening to make a score, he is killed in a tragic traffic accident, along with Gary's girlfriend's husband, a pilot with United Airlines. His death caused the exposure of the Pegasus organization to the Administration's appointed FBI, CIA and NSA Directors. They, in turn, conspire to cover up the extortion ring since it was deeply rooted within the IRS, and exposure of the crimes could cause the collapse of the Government. Gary is framed for the extortion ring and is tried and convicted in Federal Court in an intense, suspense filled trial. Robin and Gary end up getting married both out of love and, as it turns out, necessity. Robin, an FBI employee, sets out to clear Gary's name and faces cataclysmic hurdles in doing so. When Arthur finds out that his ring had been exposed, he tries escaping on his one hundred and fifty foot yacht, named Polaris, to the Cayman's. He finds out in the process that his longtime mistress, Frederica, had managed to steal all the money he had accumulated after he dumped her in preparation for retiring to the islands. The 'Gang of Seven' as they became known, comprised the core members of the President's intelligence organization. They must find a way to cover up the extortion or the Government, or more specifically their Administration, could collapse. They engage the military to capture Arthur Cambridge or kill him, along with the entire network he has established. What follows takes the reader on an E-Ticket ride through the perils of Government terrorism which rains down upon Gary, Robin, and the others involved who seek to expose the Government crimes. Everyone who enjoys horrific, surprise endings along with a heavy dose of military technology is going to love how The Treasury ends up. You won't be disappointed.
