The history of channeling is presented from the days of ancient Greece and the seer known as the Oracle of Delphi, to the works of "Oahspe" and a "Dweller On Two Planets," (which was responsible for bringing the actress Shirley MacLaine into the New Age fold). More recently, the first appearance of Ashtar upon the scene was in the late 1940s, when contact was established with an associate of billionaire Howard Hughes.
