Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Destiny: G'Dom tells two stories. It is the continuance of the Destiny saga. And G'Dom is intertwined stories and tidbits from urban street life. Curvy Big & Beautiful Women (BBWs) have a major role in Jovon's life. It's tough making Destiny his only one. But he does manage to do it. She doesn't know how else Jovon spends his time. He was upfront with her by warning her about possible predicaments he could be facing. She stands by his side. The streets are heating up. Jovon gets a crash course in running operations. His schedule adapts to that of a hustler. He's being taught by experienced hustlers who each had their hey day. There's a difference between hustlers who buy on consignment versus those who purchase their own product. Jovon never bought on consignment. It wasn't even an option. Too many street dealers die early in the game from consignment troubles. It's not worth the drama. Destiny must make a decision. Can she honestly handle the pace of Jovon's lifestyle? He's committed to her, true. He raises a question again. "Will you be here for me if anything should ever happen?" in so many words. She hesitates. But why? Could it be that Jovon was jeopardizing her life too; the life they planned together? Destiny was kept out the picture as far as details. It was better that way in his opinion. Besides he was advised by his business partner to do that anyway. Destiny hesitates when the question pops up again. Jovon couldn't trust that situation any longer. In no time, he's back in the player game. His usual chicks are ready for J. It's like he he hadn't missed a step. Curvy BBWs all around the city and in Maryland and Virginia. Jovon's soaking up game left and right. Any way it comes, he feels he's in position to thrive. Keep in mind that he's working on and off while in the streets and being a player. He has some complications on the home front. Some members of his family plan for him to be out of state. This would mean leaving things as they are on an extended break. Jovon decides against it. The second time the offer comes, he accepts. Will his business partner empathize or will it be seen as a cop out? Much music is being written in the process of hopeful progress. You must remember that Jovon got his start with creative writing as a rapper first in California and was drawn more to West Coast styles of rap although he was from Washington, DC originally. This impacts his own style greatly. Songs like Where Do I Run To; True To The M.F.'n Game are explored in depth. Then his other side, the romantic and player categories of R&B were prevalent as well. Did the women he interacted with actually know who he was? Read and find out. Lots of Curvy BBW stories included told from an Admirer's perspective. When you're active as a single man and a player on top of that, you get your fair share of women. Who will be there in the end? Any chicks from this crowd? Read and see.

Download or read book Several Shadows written by Julian Hill and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2016-09-12 with total page 234 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the very first installment of Several Shadows. Volume 1: Brokenhearted. We all experience romance and personal relationships sometimes blindly or head-on. Learn about my life as it pertains to Big & Beautiful Women (BBWs) before I got married. This book is based on true events. I met many ladies that inspired me to write lots of poetry and songs though at that time, BBWs weren't defined as an audience the way they are now. You get to see song lyrics and poems which were designed to persuade a woman or women of interest to me. These are my beginning works. I am also a rapper using different styles today and it was formed in my youth and young adult years. Brokenhearted was written using compiled notes from a journal I had. There are also letters from women I interacted with along with our discussions at times. I was very sentimental and looked for the right BBW to spend the rest of my life with. I found her. But it was quite a ride and journey I took to finally settle down. You'll find youthful fun as part of the story. It was common for me to keep notes on most of the women I interacted with. My memory is rather good concerning them and the past from my own perspective. Names have been changed to protect identities and to make the story more interesting. At times, I met women with the same name. So you'll see these names throughout this series. You must know which one I'm referring to specifically if a same name is used. I was pretty wild in my own opinion. The fact that the majority of women I dealt with were larger women didn't change this fact. Story takes place mainly in Washington, DC before the recent turn around in the capital city. Once upon a time in the 1990's, it was the murder capital of the United States. Curvy Larger Women are who I preferred to spend my time with. Sometimes I was committed in a relationship. But usually not. I was famous for having open relationships as a player. Still I felt I knew the difference between a good time and Real Love. My perspectives on women then weren't always the best. Yet they were real and honest. They continue to be. During this period in Washington, DC, Black BBWs were predominant as far as BBWs are concerned. I learned how to be myself with them, learn from them and teach others at times based on the knowledge I had gathered. I dealt with younger women, older women and women my age or in my age range. It didn't make a difference to me. I tried to treat each of them as an individual instead of a collection. I was able to maintain lengthy relationships with a few ladies while my player lifestyle was quite active. Almost daily I wrote songs. Poems came every now and then during this time. I also was called various names - Juice, J and Julian. In the book, these names are referred to as Juice, Jazz and Jovon. My family and close friends supported the idea of me dating larger women. They'd seen me from my youth. It was never an issue, like I hear of in some other places and for many people. It was expected of me for the most part. Still one of my best friends tried persuading me to consider smaller women. It just wasn't my thing. I did also date Thick Chicks, which are different than Big & Beautiful Women from my standpoint. Whenever I visited adult entertainment venues, I looked for a Curvy BBW to show up. I was usually disappointed. Still on one occasion, a dancer approached me on a personal level. That's within the series. Check for Volume 2. I was quick on my feet then. Dealing with a lot of women, you have to be. Based on the course my life was taking, I thought I'd be a Mack for Life - never finding fulfillment. There were numerous occasions I used a pimp's mentality with certain women. I felt they had crossed me. I couldn't trust them any longer. But on the other hand, I ended a lot of relationships due to my being angry with them. I didn't feel they were on my level. Still time reveals things later on in life. Enjoy Volume 1:

Jovon's life is hectic, some may understand that. The fear of being judged by others something most people can relate to. Learn more about Pay Day the Author/Julian Hill's influences and inspirations to write. Included is Volume 4 as an add-on. Jovon Hall truly becomes aware of his lifestyle and its impact on himself and other people. He tries to turn his life around for the better. Still there are quite a few obstacles to overcome. The numerous women as in Big Girls daily fill his schedule along with work, music, additional writing and business endeavors. He wants time to just be himself. Maria becomes a force to be reckoned with alongside Jovon. But he could never really see her permanently in terms of his heart. While he has an affection for her, Alexis is the one he has chosen to be with realistically. Everything and everyone else simply are just there because they don't know who he truly is anyway. They're pawns in the game while he seeks to protect his queen. There aren't many public examples today of someone such as Jovon. You're speaking of a multi-gifted creative talent into larger women with a business mindset and a sorted history. We never hear of these people making it. Still Jovon pushes forward regardless. He feels that with Alexis and their young daughter, he can accomplish anything if it is in God's Will. He returns to the way he was raised pretty much or attempts to. A mental illness diagnosis somewhat startles him. It is at a time his plans are seeming to come to fruition. He loses the passion to write. He no longer feels comfortable seeing other women. He becomes distant from his peers and those that know him. He experiences challenges at work and home. He continues to believe he's being followed and tracked. He fears being arrested for past incidents and imprisonment on a high level. All these things play a part in recognizing a change needs to take place and quickly. Jovon tries yet there are challenges he faces with attempting to do things God's Way. His thoughts aren't as they should be. He's haunted by the past and deluded by things in the present. He's paranoid of others being against him constantly. To a certain extent, he relives instances of his personal war. Millions of people are living with mental illness despite their station in life. Pay Day the Author/Julian Hill is one of them. Jovon Hall is a depiction of his own life and sorrows. Help is available. But not enough people actually seek it or in enough time to prevent something worse from happening. Several Shadows is Pay Day's first book collection. While he has numerous other works, it is one he's most proud of. His true audience consist of those who understand his message. His goal is to uplift Big & Beautiful Women and their Admirers; share different perspectives as musical artist and creative talent; help the imprisoned, the sick and shut-in; empower the youth along with the underprivileged; create social programs that benefit the poor; teach others how he writes so that they can build on his skill sets for themselves; and to do God's Will. If you have benefited from reading Several Shadows, please be kind enough to share it with someone else. It is meant to be more than mere reading material. There are lessons to be learned and applied. Pay Day the Author/Julian Hill disclosed much of his own life in this series through the character of Jovon Hall. Know all that Jovon represents and let's do our best to assist those like Jovon in the best ways possible.

Book excerpt: Hugo and Shirley Jackson award-winning Peter Watts stands on the cutting edge of hard SF with his acclaimed novel, Blindsight Two months since the stars fell... Two months of silence, while a world held its breath. Now some half-derelict space probe, sparking fitfully past Neptune's orbit, hears a whisper from the edge of the solar system: a faint signal sweeping the cosmos like a lighthouse beam. Whatever's out there isn't talking to us. It's talking to some distant star, perhaps. Or perhaps to something closer, something en route. So who do you send to force introductions with unknown and unknowable alien intellect that doesn't wish to be met? You send a linguist with multiple personalities, her brain surgically partitioned into separate, sentient processing cores. You send a biologist so radically interfaced with machinery that he sees x-rays and tastes ultrasound. You send a pacifist warrior in the faint hope she won't be needed. You send a monster to command them all, an extinct hominid predator once called vampire, recalled from the grave with the voodoo of recombinant genetics and the blood of sociopaths. And you send a synthesist—an informational topologist with half his mind gone—as an interface between here and there. Pray they can be trusted with the fate of a world. They may be more alien than the thing they've been sent to find. At the Publisher's request, this title is being sold without Digital Rights Management Software (DRM) applied.

Book excerpt: A Los Angeles Times Book Prize Finalist "[A] masterwork of psychological fiction.… Messud teases readers with a psychological mystery, withholding information and then cannily parceling it out." —Chicago Tribune Julia and Cassie have been friends since nursery school. They have shared everything, including their desire to escape the stifling limitations of their birthplace, the quiet town of Royston, Massachusetts. But as the two girls enter adolescence, their paths diverge and Cassie sets out on a journey that will put her life in danger and shatter her oldest friendship. The Burning Girl is a complex examination of the stories we tell ourselves about youth and friendship, and straddles, expertly, childhood’s imaginary worlds and painful adult reality—crafting a true, immediate portrait of female adolescence. Claire Messud, one of our finest novelists, is as accomplished at weaving a compelling fictional world as she is at asking the big questions: To what extent can we know ourselves and others? What are the stories we create to comprehend our lives and relationships? Brilliantly mixing fable and coming-of-age tale, The Burning Girl gets to the heart of these matters in an absolutely irresistible way. The Burning Girl was named one of the best books of the year by the Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, Vogue, NPR, Financial Times, Town & Country, Kirkus Reviews, Publishers Weekly, Refinery29, and Literary Hub.
