Book 12 Principles of Success Fulfillment

Download or read book 12 Principles of Success Fulfillment written by H. K. Holevinsky and published by CreateSpace. This book was released on 2015-09-27 with total page 416 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Success is the achievement of something desired, planned, or attempted. It occurs when we add the right amount of cream and sugar to our coffee, come across something interesting to watch, or find the person we want to spend our life with. Everyone has an idea of what success is, or what it means to them. But is success by itself enough? Can something be paired with success, creating a wonderful marriage of two important elements? The answer is yes, and the partner is fulfillment. While sometimes confused with success, fulfillment is more about purpose than achievement; more about a sense of peace than accomplishment; more about an inner contentment instead of a vehicle parked outside. Without fulfillment, we will always want more, like a person with no stomach signals eating at a buffet. Without fulfillment, we will ask, "Is this all there is?" Without fulfillment, there will be emotions and feelings of emptiness; thoughts and musings that something is missing. Simply put, fulfillment is a level of immense satisfaction, resulting from finding the purpose or reason that something or someone is here. Fulfillment will easily make you feel fully alive, and will cause one of those, "This is what life is about!" kinds of experiences. Success does occur when we find the person we want to spend our life with; but fulfillment happens when that person says "Yes!" to our proposal. It isn't difficult to find great books, magazines or movies about success. Entire industries have been built around success. Not so for fulfillment. Perhaps fulfillment is harder to grasp, doesn't sell as well, or even worse, we are deluded into thinking that success is all that matters. There could be many reasons for the obvious lack of excellent works detailing both success and fulfillment. While this book does not claim to fill that void, it does describe in detail the principles needed to experience both. Remember, success without fulfillment is empty and unsatisfying; your goal must be both. It would be a tragedy to spend your life working hard pursuing success, only to arrive at the end feeling empty and discontented. A principle is a fundamental truth which serves as a cornerstone for behavior or actions. People who live by principles are people who have structure and standards in their lives. When something unexpected happens, a principled person doesn't re-act; they simply act based on that which is deep within. They respond based on the beliefs and values they hold, which were learned in advance of any crisis or opportunity. In a similar way, when we learn about, understand and apply the principles of success and fulfillment, we are creating a foundation and backbone structure designed to help us think, believe, and act in a manner conducive to both success and fulfillment in life. We all deal with and face problems and issues; some of us on a daily basis. This book is designed to help people contend with and resolve the top five problems of our day: financial (see principle eight), relationships (see principle five), addictions/habits (see principle twelve), time management (see principle four), and health (see principle six). The best way to tackle any or all of these is to be prepared ahead of time. If that's not possible, facing them head on with a clear, attentive mind and a thorough understanding of why they occurred is the best approach. And there's more: it's also about new perspectives (see principle one); about new ways of getting things done (see principle nine): about happiness (see principle seven); about planning ahead (see principle two); about knowing why we behave like we do (see principle ten); about thinking (see principle three); and about character (see principle eleven). This book will help you find answers to your questions. It will inspire you, challenge you, teach you and drive you towards more knowledge, wisdom and understanding, and a life of greater success and fulfillment in everything you do.

Book Self Fulfillment

    Book Details:
  • Author : Alan Gewirth
  • Publisher : Princeton University Press

  • ISBN : 1400822742
  • Pages : 246 pages

Download or read book Self Fulfillment written by Alan Gewirth and published by Princeton University Press. This book was released on 2009-11-02 with total page 246 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Cultures around the world have regarded self-fulfillment as the ultimate goal of human striving and as the fundamental test of the goodness of a human life. The ideal has also been criticized, however, as egotistical or as so value-neutral that it fails to distinguish between, for example, self-fulfilled sinners and self-fulfilled saints. Alan Gewirth presents here a systematic and highly original study of self-fulfillment that seeks to overcome these and other arguments and to justify the high place that the ideal has been accorded. He does so by developing an ethical theory that ultimately grounds the value of self-fulfillment in the idea of the dignity of human beings. Gewirth begins by distinguishing two models of self- fulfillment--aspiration-fulfillment and capacity-fulfillment--and shows how each of these contributes to the intrinsic value of human life. He then distinguishes between three types of morality--universalist, particularist, and personalist--and shows how each contributes to the values embodied in self-fulfillment. Building on these ideas, he develops a Odialectical' conception of reason that shows how human rights are central to self-fulfillment. Gewirth also argues that self-fulfillment has a social as well as an individual dimension: that the nature of society and the obstacles that disadvantaged groups face affect strongly the character of the self-fulfillment that persons can achieve. Bold in scope and rigorous in execution, Self-Fulfillment is a powerful new contribution to moral, social, and political philosophy.

Book excerpt: The modern workplace is built on teamwork, but for many workers this structure feels like a necessary evil—an impediment rather than a perpetuator of success and fulfillment. The traditional approach to teamwork often pits individuals against one another with a “me-first” mentality, leading to dysfunctional teams that fail to accomplish their purpose. Fortunately, there is a better way to work. In this salient book, Russ Sarratt and Rusty Chadwick provide a framework for a different kind of team—one where personal excellence and sacrificial service at the individual level changes the narrative of the larger group. No matter the industry or profession, the success of a team and the fulfillment of its members depend on each individual’s ability and desire to contribute. Team Work introduces 13 timeless principles of teamsmanship—simple but transformative values that are revolutionizing the way teams function. Whether at work, at home, on the athletic field, or in the community, the principles of Team Work will help you develop a clear understanding of how to move your team forward and thrive in the process.

Book The Fulfillment of the Davidic Covenant

Download or read book The Fulfillment of the Davidic Covenant written by Patrick W. Nasongo and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2019-01-01 with total page 270 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The author discusses three major hermeneutical views concerning the fulfillment of the promises God made in the Davidic Covenant—that is, a house (dynasty), a kingdom (realm), and a throne (right to rule). He shows how the adherents of each view differ regarding the timing and nature of the fulfillment of each aspect. He also investigates the hermeneutical methodology of each view to determine how they arrived at their conclusions, and then he analyzes their conclusions from an exegetical perspective. Furthermore, he explains in detail and defends the view he considers to be biblical. Most of all, in an age where compromise on biblical interpretation has become the norm, he encourages his readers to interpret the Scriptures according to the normal laws of language in order to arrive at their intended meaning. I am honored to endorse this book for Patrick Nasongo. His extensive research reveals why three prominent evangelical approaches differ in their interpretations of the fulfillment of the Davidic Covenant. His analysis is fair and the reader will learn much about each methodology. Larry A. Tyler, Ph.D. Dean, Bowman School of Bible & Theology Temple Baptist Seminary

This Book explores spiritual principles as opposed to the principles of this present age. In everyday life we are well familiar with the principles that operate here on the earth. We know that when a door is shut we must open it in order to pass through. We know that touching a hot stove will cause pain and a burn. Science is aware of the rules and boundaries of the laws of physics and chemists know the results of mixing elements together to cause a certain result. Although there are many of the scientific laws of nature currently unknown to mankind, he continues to strive to find answers and to reconcile the scientific world of which we are aware using out five senses. What science does not understand, or is unwilling to admit, there is a realm beyond the certainties of this physical realm that is incapable of scientific proof. That realm is called "The Spiritual Realm." Most deny its existence or if they mentally assent to the possibility that such a realm exists they know little about it and certainly don't apply it to their everyday lives or scientific pursuits. Some look on such things as foolishness as the Apostle Paul said: "But a natural [unspiritual] man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised" (1 Corinthians 2:14). However, as this book will attempt to point out, the spirit realm is very much a real place, actually more real than our physical world. The spirit world has its own set of rules and principles that govern it. However its ways are past finding out by the natural mind of man and thus invisible to those without spiritual sight. The Apostle Paul said in the Bible: "because the human mind is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so" (Romans 8:7). Thus our intellect is useless in knowing anything beyond what we can see or touch. Just taking the most basic of the spiritual laws, the 10 commandments for instance, who can argue that we all would be a little better off if everyone was able to follow these basic rules? There would be no crime, therefore no expensive jails to confine criminals. The family unit, which has been broken down in this generation, would stay intact as children would respect their parents; there would be no adultery to break up the family and coveting would all together cease. There would be no serious disparity between the rich and the poor and the poor would be taken care of without great expenditure of funds to do so. There would be no greed, war, competition etc. just to name a few. Jesus said that if we were to pray at all we should pray to God:
