Book Structure and Properties of Engineering Alloys

Download or read book Structure and Properties of Engineering Alloys written by William Fortune Smith and published by McGraw-Hill Science, Engineering & Mathematics. This book was released on 1993 with total page 728 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A junior-senior level text and reference for use by materials engineers and mechanical engineers in courses entitled advanced physical metallurgy. Foundations of Materials Science and Engineering is designed for a first course in materials science and engineering for engineering students. Understanding that this might be a student's first exposure to materials science, the book presents essential topics in a clear, concise manner, without extraneous details to overwhelm newcomers. Industrial examples and photographs used throughout the book give students a look at the many ways material science and engineering are applied in the real world. Author: William F Smith, University of Central Florida. Publisher's note.

Book Mechanical Properties of Molybdenum And Molybdenum Base Alloy Sheet

Download or read book Mechanical Properties of Molybdenum And Molybdenum Base Alloy Sheet written by Robert Q. Barr and published by . This book was released on 1960 with total page 24 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The mechanical and physical properties of molybdenum and molybdenum-base alloys have been rather extensively documented in the past decade. Almost all of these data have been developed in connection with investigations of wrought bar stock; very little data have been accumulated on the properties of sheet. On the other hand, considerable interest has developed in recent years in the utilization of molybdenum and molybdenum-base alloys in the form of sheet products. This interest is concentrated on sheet of about 1/16-in. gage. This paper represents a summary of the several investigations that were initiated to determine some of the mechanical properties of unalloyed molybdenum and of three molybdenum-base alloys, processed to 1/16 in. thick sheet from vacuum arc-cast ingots.

Book Metallurgy of Molybdenum Niobium and Molybdenum niobium Alloys

Download or read book Metallurgy of Molybdenum Niobium and Molybdenum niobium Alloys written by U.S. Atomic Energy Commission and published by . This book was released on 1963 with total page 118 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt:

Book Thermomechanical Processing of Molybdenum hafnium carbon Alloys

Download or read book Thermomechanical Processing of Molybdenum hafnium carbon Alloys written by Peter L. Raffo and published by . This book was released on 1970 with total page 52 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A study was made of the thermochemical processing of a series of Mo-Hf-C alloys. The processes either produced an overaged carbide precipitate within a strain hardened matrix or allowed the formation of a finer precipitate during fabrication by a dynamic strain aging reaction. The short time tensile properties of the strain aged alloys were superior to those of any other molybdenum alloy studied to date.
