Results in this indicate that mechnization in milking minimises labour requirement for milking which is consistent which is consistent with minimum milking cost. THe average milking cost is further reduced if herd size increased as fixed cost gets distributed over large number of animals. Operating the milking parlour to the full capacity reduces average milking cost with linearly increasing labour cost of additional shifts/milkers. Variability in milking labour cost is dependent on machine time. Which is direct and synonymous as a cause of over milking and organisational diffeculties in milking parlour.
