His daugher Martha (1753-1852) married Neil Culbreth, and they also had a large family. They settled in Sampson and Cumberland Counties of North Carolina. Many of Cornelius's family remained in North Carolina. Others migrated to Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington D.C., and elsewhere.
