Book American Republican Drivers

Download or read book American Republican Drivers written by Francois Jean-Paul and published by Page Publishing Inc. This book was released on 2022-02-17 with total page 378 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is about the plight of Black Americans and other minorities living in the United States and suffering from injustices as a result of the government's failure in justice provision to them due to a mistaken or willful allowance of a third branch of the American government without an election. Then whether they were to try their own businesses or become well-educated to serve on any layer of the American government, the last words always belong to someone of the opposite race. And the law had made it so through Plessey claiming equal opportunity to the Black race where later in their interactions on the job, both races would show separate social behaviors deriving from two different educations, Plessey of which, the poorly financed Black schools had herein clearly shown through the holding positions of those minorities. Evidently, looking at the judiciary, most of the judges are whites and thus have no intention of favoring those minorities in any way because the surviving prevalence of their position does not depend on those minorities' ballots. Then through the decision of the lower courts, those minorities, although already facing impoverishment due to the established slavery (which has plagued them for so long), are either constantly imprisoned or have to make some sort of payment to those white leaders' administrations, whether on a local, state, or federal level. Obviously, such actions have decimated every possibility for the descendants of those minorities to properly excel while facing the children of the opposite race. Indeed, the hiring of Black Judge Thurgood Marshall, for example, might be an exception; their separate education from that of the Whites, such as Plessey, had set it would not normally allow those minorities to such position and that the full segregation of the United States Supreme Court until Thurgood Marshall had evidenced it. Then those Blacks used to have a slave master on the plantation fields behind them with a cowhide, so they would not leave. In New York, for example, the city had set such victimization of minorities through the action of preventing them from leaving their poorly financed school system to go to a better one as they had applied Plessey through some school districting rule system. Obviously, those leaders, mostly Whites of European descendants, might have acted this way up to now so they could continue to reign over their former slaves. Then through the application of such behavior that they would have always all claimed was the work of the city council, even with a few members of the minority community in that council, those leaders will force minorities to continue poking at them with the epithet of neo-slave drivers of the American republic, for none had done something to end that culture. Then they faced "Occupy Wall Street" that failed. They will continue to witness more protests around the courthouses as in Oregon. Then more of George Floyd's "I Can't Breathe" right across those mayors' offices such as in the city wall park of New York when equalizer corona had temporarily stopped those leader's exploitation and abuse of those drivers on the street of Manhattan, the daily drivers' farming fields till the reshaping of the courts for the establishment of laws favoring them.

Book American Law in the Twentieth Century

Download or read book American Law in the Twentieth Century written by Lawrence Meir Friedman and published by Yale University Press. This book was released on 2004-01-01 with total page 1468 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: American law in the twentieth century describes the explosion of law over the past century into almost every aspect of American life. Since 1900 the center of legal gravity in the United States has shifted from the state to the federal government, with the creation of agencies and programs ranging from Social Security to the Securities Exchange Commission to the Food and Drug Administration. Major demographic changes have spurred legal developments in such areas as family law and immigration law. Dramatic advances in technology have placed new demands on the legal system in fields ranging from automobile regulation to intellectual property. Throughout the book, Friedman focuses on the social context of American law. He explores the extent to which transformations in the legal order have resulted from the social upheavals of the twentieth century--including two world wars, the Great Depression, the civil rights movement, and the sexual revolution. Friedman also discusses the international context of American law: what has the American legal system drawn from other countries? And in an age of global dominance, what impact has the American legal system had abroad? This engrossing book chronicles a century of revolutionary change within a legal system that has come to affect us all.

Book Hardware and Software Architectures for Fault Tolerance

This book was released on 1994-02-28 with total page 332 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Fault tolerance has been an active research area for many years. This volume presents papers from a workshop held in 1993 where a small number of key researchers and practitioners in the area met to discuss the experiences of industrial practitioners, to provide a perspective on the state of the art of fault tolerance research, to determine whether the subject is becoming mature, and to learn from the experiences so far in order to identify what might be important research topics for the coming years. The workshop provided a more intimate environment for discussions and presentations than usual at conferences. The papers in the volume were presented at the workshop, then updated and revised to reflect what was learned at the workshop.

Book Survive Drive Win

Download or read book Survive Drive Win written by Nick Fry and published by Atlantic Books. This book was released on 2019-10-03 with total page 195 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 'The story of Brawn GP is legendary... Exciting and magical.' Damon Hill 'Nick Fry and Ed Gorman take us behind the mysterious and tightly closed doors of F1 to tell the remarkable story of the 2009 season.' Martin Brundle Foreword by Bernie Ecclestone The full story of F1's incredible 2009 championship battle has never been told. Until now. In this gripping memoir, Nick Fry, the former CEO of Brawn GP, reveals how he found himself in the driving seat for one of the most incredible journeys in the history of motor sport. At the end of 2008, Nick, then head of Honda's F1 team, was told by his Japanese bosses that the motor company was pulling out of F1 in thirty days. This bolt from the blue was a disaster for the team's 700 staff, for Ross Brawn, who Nick had recently recruited as chief engineer, and for the drivers, Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello. But in a few short weeks, Nick and Ross would persuade Honda to sell them the company for £1 (plus all the liabilities). Just thirteen weeks later, the Brawn GP team, led by Nick and Ross, would emerge from these ashes, win the first Grand Prix of the 2009 season, and go on to win the Driver's and the Constructor's Championship, with a borrowed engine, a heavily adapted chassis and, at least initially, no sponsors. In Survive. Drive. Win., Nick gives an up-close-and-personal account of how he and Ross turned disaster into championship glory and laid the foundations for what was to become the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team. Along the way he gives the inside track on the drivers, the rivalries between teams, on negotiating with Bernie Ecclestone, on hiring and working with two global superstars: Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton - and offers a unique and thrilling perspective on an elite global sport.

Book Performing Action

  • Author : Joseph R. Gusfield
  • Publisher : Routledge
  • Release : 2017-09-08

Download or read book Performing Action written by Joseph R. Gusfield and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2017-09-08 with total page 308 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In recent years the social sciences and the humanities have drawn closer to each other in thought and method. This rapprochement has led to new perceptions of human behavior by sociologists, as well as new methodological orientations. Sociologist Joseph R. Gusfield draws upon drama and fiction to show how human action is shaped by the formal dimensions of performance. Gusfield first defines the concept of behavior as artistic performance. He then analyzes routine and classic social research reports as literary performances in qualitative and quantitative terms. Next he moves to social movements and public actions, demonstrating how objects and events are products of the interpretation and reflection of individuals. He draws upon literary and artistic conventions to deal with issues of representation and meaning. In the first and last chapters, Gusfield provides a conceptual summary examining the relation between sociology as science and art, arguing that sociological methods are neither science nor art, but partake of both. Following the philosopher Paul Ricouer, Gusfield shows how human behavior can be read as a text, always telling the participant or observer "something about something." Performing Action will be of interest to sociologists, psychologists, and students of aesthetics and critical theory.
