Book Introduction to Electronic Circuit Design

Download or read book Introduction to Electronic Circuit Design written by Richard R. Spencer and published by Pearson. This book was released on 2003 with total page 1162 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A basic understanding of circuit design is useful for many engineerseven those who may never actually design a circuitbecause it is likely that they will fabricate, test, or use these circuits in some way during their careers. This book provides a thorough and rigorous explanation of circuit design with a focus on the underlying principlesof how different circuits workinstead of relying completely on design procedures or "rules of thumb." In this way, readers develop the intuitionthat is essential to understanding and solving design problems in those instances where no procedure exists. Features a "Topical organization" rather than a sequential one emphasizing the models and types of analyses used so they are less confusing to readers.Discusses complex topics such as small-signal approximation, frequency response, feedback, and model selection. Most of the examples and exercises compare the analytical results with simulationsSimulation files are available on the CD-ROM. A generic transistor is used to avoid repetition, presenting many of the basic principles that are common to FET and BJT circuits. Devotes a whole chapter to device physics. For reference use by professionals in the field of computer engineering or electronic circuit design.

Book Mixed Mode Simulation and Analog Multilevel Simulation

Download or read book Mixed Mode Simulation and Analog Multilevel Simulation written by Resve A. Saleh and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-03-09 with total page 310 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Mixed-Mode Simulation and Analog Multilevel Simulation addresses the problems of simulating entire mixed analog/digital systems in the time-domain. A complete hierarchy of modeling and simulation methods for analog and digital circuits is described. Mixed-Mode Simulation and Analog Multilevel Simulation also provides a chronology of the research in the field of mixed-mode simulation and analog multilevel simulation over the last ten to fifteen years. In addition, it provides enough information to the reader so that a prototype mixed-mode simulator could be developed using the algorithms in this book. Mixed-Mode Simulation and Analog Multilevel Simulation can also be used as documentation for the SPLICE family of mixed-mode programs as they are based on the algorithms and techniques described in this book.

Book The Science and Art of Simulation I

Download or read book The Science and Art of Simulation I written by Michael M. Resch and published by Springer. This book was released on 2017-04-07 with total page 190 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The new book series “The Science and Art of Simulation” (SAS) addresses computer simulations as a scientific activity and engineering artistry (in the sense of a technē). The first volume is devoted to three topics: 1. The Art of Exploring Computer Simulations Philosophy began devoting attention to computer simulations at a relatively early stage. Since then, the unquestioned point of view has been that computer simulation is a new scientific method; the philosophy of simulation is therefore part of the philosophy of science. The first section of this volume discusses this implicit, unchallenged assumption by addressing, from different perspectives, the question of how to explore (and how not to explore) research on computer simulations. Scientists discuss what is still lacking or considered problematic, while philosophers draft new directions for research, and both examine the art of exploring computer simulations. 2. The Art of Understanding Computer Simulations The results of computer simulations are integrated into both political and social decisions. It is implicitly assumed that the more detailed, and consequently more realistic, a computer simulation is, the more useful it will be in decision-making. However, this idea is by no means justified. Different types of computer simulations have to be differentiated, which in turn requires the specific skill of understanding computer simulation results. The articles in this section examine the capabilities and limits of simulation results in political and social contexts, exploring the art of understanding computer simulation results. 3. The Art of Knowing through Computer Simulations? The advent of computer simulation in today’s scientific practices challenges the order of science. What kind of knowledge is gained through computer simulations is the key question in this section. Computer simulations are often compared to experiments or to arguments, and the transformation of our traditional scientific notions might be more challenging than expected – these Ideas are put forward in the third section to conceptualize the art of knowing through computer simulations.

Book Electronic Circuits with MATLAB PSpice and Smith Chart

Download or read book Electronic Circuits with MATLAB PSpice and Smith Chart written by Won Y. Yang and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2020-01-15 with total page 882 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Provides practical examples of circuit design and analysis using PSpice, MATLAB, and the Smith Chart This book presents the three technologies used to deal with electronic circuits: MATLAB, PSpice, and Smith chart. It gives students, researchers, and practicing engineers the necessary design and modelling tools for validating electronic design concepts involving bipolar junction transistors (BJTs), field-effect transistors (FET), OP Amp circuits, and analog filters. Electronic Circuits with MATLAB®, PSpice®, and Smith Chart presents analytical solutions with the results of MATLAB analysis and PSpice simulation. This gives the reader information about the state of the art and confidence in the legitimacy of the solution, as long as the solutions obtained by using the two software tools agree with each other. For representative examples of impedance matching and filter design, the solution using MATLAB and Smith chart (Smith V4.1) are presented for comparison and crosscheck. This approach is expected to give the reader confidence in, and a deeper understanding of, the solution. In addition, this text: Increases the reader's understanding of the underlying processes and related equations for the design and analysis of circuits Provides a stepping stone to RF (radio frequency) circuit design by demonstrating how MATLAB can be used for the design and implementation of microstrip filters Features two chapters dedicated to the application of Smith charts and two-port network theory Electronic Circuits with MATLAB®, PSpice®, and Smith Chart will be of great benefit to practicing engineers and graduate students interested in circuit theory and RF circuits.
