Individual experience are described as explored using the heuristic research model. Heuristic investigation was used because of the intimate nature of this experience and my own personal journey of achieving this status. A literature review of books, journals, and articles indicated that no other study such as this has been completed. A volume of material was found on the topic of immortality; however, there was nothing relevant with regard to the interpretation of immortality that this study indicates. The data for this research was obtained through self-searching and co-researcher participation and was deemed an archetype by the researcher. Once the interviewing process had been completed, the materials, along with the researcher's self-searching, were reviewed for emerging themes that were identified. The identified themes are: (a) The artist is only a facet of the immortality and that the work itself is the object of the immortality, (b) the artistic creation is an expression of the soul, (c) immortality is relational to the impact that the work has on society, and (d) the integrity of the creative process is alone the most critical element of immortality. Creating one's own immortality, for the co-researchers, is a continual process, just as theri artistry is; however, it is not part of the creative process. These artists conjoin immortality with their artistic form and not their person. Clinicians, educators, and artists as well as society in general could use the findings of this study.
