Claudia took graduate courses in Botany in Washington, leaving the course of study to move to California where she obtained her single subject teaching credential as well as a masters in educational administration. She taught Biology in high school for a number of years before moving to administrative positions in both high school and middle school. Claudia retired from a principal ship in middle school.
