Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 31 Prayers with Nuggets is a book designed to help the new believer as well as the seasoned saint to pray everyday. The intent was to write this book in its simplest form so that anyone will be able to read, relate, and understand. I have learned not to take for granted that everyone understands all of the things of the church, so I purposely simplified things so that all will be able to easily comprehend what is being said. I have discovered that prayer is so much more than just asking God for something as if He is our own personal genie in the sky. Prayer is one of our ways of communicating with God. Prayer keeps us aware of the things in our lives, prayer helps us to overcome sin, unforgiveness and anything that the enemy, (the devil) will try to use to work against us. It is equally important to remember to pray for others. God honors those who think not only of themselves.

Book 10 NUGGETS OF GOLD

Download or read book 10 NUGGETS OF GOLD written by Donna Joanne Schafer and published by Xulon Press. This book was released on 2016-12-15 with total page 78 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Our young women are growing up today in a "me" society. Many are being raised in homes where God is seldom mentioned and the idea of living out biblical concepts is almost non-existent. The idea of a traditional family is almost past history, but something that is deeply desired by many young people. I had a big push by the Holy Spirit to start a class for this very thing. After a while, some of the young ladies of our church were asking me to "write down some of the lessons I had learned." The Apostle Paul wrote to Titus. In chapter 2:3-5 Paul is telling Titus to teach women, especially the older women, women like me, to do certain things. "the older women be teachers of good things, that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed." My husband, Jerry, and I have been married over 60 years, raised five children, have 18 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. I really have had many experiences. As an Elementary Teacher for over 30 years, I have been privileged to get acquainted with many forms of "family" and shared in their joys and sorrows. My prayer everyday as I drove to school was, "Lord let your love for me and my love for you, make a difference in the lives I come in contact with." It is still my prayer today.

Like those who have gone before us, when we are filled with joy, we will discover fuel in these ancient songs for even higher praises. And when we are going through the valley of deepest darkness, we will find in the Psalms light shining upon us, driving the shadows of doubt away. Prayers on Fire includes 365 prayers inspired by the book of Psalms from the heart-felt Passion Translation. Each day contains an excerpt from the Psalms and then a prayer from the heart, providing an expression of faith and worship for sincere worshipers. Open your heart as you open the pages of this book. Here you will find God as your shelter of strength. “As I’m hidden within your greatness, I discover your eternal purposes. In love and humility I bow before you, my awe-inspiring God. The way you watch over me, infuses me with confidence and courage. You are my source; I draw life from the waters of your love. Walking step by step with you brings me joy unlike I’ve ever known. Your Word illuminates my path, and wherever I go, I flourish. No matter the season, I’m blessed—established firmly in you.” (Inspired by Psalm 1:2)

Book excerpt: Are you praying constricted prayers or disruptive ones? Most prayers are constricted ones. They’re prayers that only focus on one part of the Lord’s Prayer: “give us our daily bread.” They’re usually focused on self and envision God as a heavenly caretaker. Disruptive prayers, on the other hand, are powerful, uncommon, and deeply biblical. They focus on God rather than self, seek to advance the kingdom, and submit all things to God. They are also prayed with a profound belief that prayer actually accomplishes something. When we pray disruptive prayers, that’s when the revolution begins. This book shows you how to equip leaders, fuel kingdom movements, and do real damage to the powers of darkness in the here and now. But most of all, discover how your own heart will be transformed as you begin to see how much bigger prayer, and God, is than you ever thought possible.

Book Nuggets of Truth A Bible Student s Devotional and A Bible Teacher s Resource Handbook

Download or read book Nuggets of Truth A Bible Student s Devotional and A Bible Teacher s Resource Handbook written by Dr. John Mannion and published by Ambassador International. This book was released on 2020-11-17 with total page 516 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Inspirational writing meets Bible commentary. Nuggets of Truth stands as a different kind of devotional. It is, perhaps, more in keeping with Oswald Chamber’s My Utmost for His Highest in that it is meant to teach more than it is meant to simply inspire. Not that each Nugget of Truth does not inspire. On the contrary, it stands as a very inspirational book even as the Scriptures themselves never fail to inspire. Indeed, the content of each individual devotional is full of Scripture. Each Nugget of Truth is designed to provide the reader with a short Bible study. Hence, the reader is more of a student than simply a reader. The considerable content of each day’s study digs deep enough with a pointed focus that the student effectively goes through a mini Bible college program once having gone through the entire year. The sub-title of Nuggets of Truth, A Bible Student’s Devotional and A Bible Teacher’s Resource Handbook, reveals the two-fold purpose and use of this book. It is meant to be a devotional for Bible students and for Bible teachers. In keeping with this second purpose, the devotional is exhaustively indexed. With its indexes, Nuggets of Truth can be used by Bible teachers as a resource for their teaching ministries. 80 pages of downloadable indices provided with purchase!

Book Hundred and Ten Prayer Points for Married Women

Download or read book Hundred and Ten Prayer Points for Married Women written by Bishop O. Innocent and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2018-01-10 with total page 48 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: PREFACE The Bible says ask and you shall receive. That was Jesus Christ himself, handing down the instruction directly in Mathew 7:7. It encourages every human to pray. Prayer marks us as humble people with the fear of and dependent on God. The same Bible says if my people which are called by name shall humble themselves and pray, I shall hear from heaven and heal their land. And we are also told to pray without ceasing. We should take all things to God in prayer. DO WE NEED TO BE TAUGHT TO PRAY? My sincere answer is a big yes. There is nothing wrong in anyone asking for prayer points or being taught how to pray. In the bible the apostles asked Jesus Christ for prayer points. Luke: 11:1 "And it came to pass, that as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray as john also taught his disciples". Also, it is better to humble yourself and ask for prayer points than to pray amiss. (James 4:3) James 4:3New International Version (NIV) 3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. Consider this: anybody can insert a car key, start the car and begin to drive. Anybody can drive a car even those who did not learn how to drive at all but if you did not learn how to drive before getting behind the steering, either you hit somebody or somebody will hit you and both are disastrous! So we need to pray and pray without ceasing and to avoid praying amiss, there is no harm in being taught the proper way to pray. Yet, I must state when words fail you, speak in tongues! Chapter One WHY THIS BOOK? THIS BOOK WILL POINT OUT TO YOU THE NEED TO KNOW THE WILL OF GOD FIRST. It is not enough to pray, you must pray in accordance with the will of God. Therefore, for your prayers to achieve the desired result, you must first of all, find out what the will of God for that thing, situation and circumstance is. YOU MUST KNOW WHAT EXACTLY IT IS YOU WANT. You must also know exactly what you want and pray specifically for. Our Lord Jesus Christ says we pray and have no answers because we pray amiss. Let me share a story I read in one of Pastor Shambach's book: the young man went to the man of God and asked to be prayed for so that he can land a job. The man of God asked him what type of job he wanted and the applicant said just any job would do. Seeing that the requester is a graduate, the priest laid hand on his head and asked God to give him the job of a messenger. The young man sharply pulled off his head and rejected the job of a messenger. And that brings me to the third point. YOU MUST NOT ONLY KNOW WHAT YOU WANT YOU MUST GO SPECIFICALLY AND DIRECTLY TO ASK FOR WHAT YOU WANT AND NOT SOMETHING RESEMBLING IT. These are reasons why I have written this book, to give direction when it comes to prayer content. To make us ask for the right things and to be specific. God does not answer us because of the volume of words spoken. Rather he listens to our specific issues and that is why to avoid squandering quality time, wandering spiritually or splitting one prayer point into twenty, we need a book that points out areas of focus to us. This book not only encourages women to pray but reminds them of relevant prayer points. Many a time, we set out to pray and for several reasons, we spend quality time rigmarolling in the name of praying, only to leave out some vital requests. Sometimes this could be due to forgetfulness but more often than not, we are crowded out by a myriad of issues, some of them not necessary at all. This book enables us to speak and do only the needful when we kneel.
