Download or read book Tell Somebody written by Lena T. Edwards and published by Xulon Press. This book was released on 2010-07 with total page 228 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We need to tell our story so others will benefit. What have you been through that will help someone facing the same problem? God allows the storms to give us opportunity to discover who He is. He wants us to know He is always with us even during our darkest hours of life. God has snatched many of us from bad situations, keeping us out of jails, hospitals, mental institutions or safe from certain death. We don't mind acknowledging Him when we are in need, but after our storms are over we never tell others that the Lord helped us. How do we expect unbelievers to call on Him for help in a storm if we never share Him with others? Our story or testimonies make a world of difference in others' lives. Some could be enduring what you have already been through, looking for a way out. Can you help? Are you willing to tell them how God helped you? Our testimony gives God the glory for our lives. I have seen many people on television that were miraculously saved from a disaster or an incurable illness who gave the credit to "luck." God is the Master Mind and organizer of life. I've learn it is a privilege and honor to be given opportunity to share His amazing love and power and at the same time give someone else the opportunity to know Him. God desires all the glory from our lives, because our story is His-story (History). When has "luck" or anyone else crucified, died and rose again to save the world from sin and eternal damnation. If more believers would simply share with others what God has done for them, more hurting people would have something solid to lean on. We all know there is nothing as solid as God. If believers don't tell, then who will?

Download or read book Tell Somebody Just Tell Somebody written by Patricia A. Holmes and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2014-05-16 with total page 49 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is a book on sexual abuse, written for and directly to children between the ages of five to ten years old. It is written in a comprehensive and easy-to-read manner, using concepts that this age group will find easy to follow and understand. This book will empower children, who find themselves in this situation, to know what to do and be able to get far away and tell somebody. Most children books, written on the subject of sexual abuse, tend to focus on the concept of Stranger Danger. Yet, in the past two decades, studies show that many of the sexual abuses occur with people children know and trust. Reports of sexual abuse around the world between children and priests, pastors, family members, neighbors and community leaders (people children know, love and trust) make this book crucial and essential for parents around the world to read it to their child. Studies also show that when children are abused by people they know and trust, they dont tell. Many of these children grow up to adulthood, displaying behavior problems, while many turn to drugs and alcohol to drown their pain or even suicide. More important, in some cases, these victims become abusers themselves, thus creating this vicious cycle of victim and abuser. Therefore, it is important to get children to feel safe enough to tell someone if they are abused; it is even more important to empower children to know the warning signs of a potential predator. This book can become a beacon of hope and a reminder to children who find themselves in situations that are noted in this book that they can feel safe when they tell somebody; thus children, no longer, will have to live in silent and in pain. Children also need to be reminded that there are many adults that they can love and trust. This book talks to children about how they can develop their awareness about this topic and empower them to act on it, if they find themselves in this situation.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Young Men Surviving Child Sexual Abuse examines a largely neglected area in child protection: the sexual abuse of boys. Andrew Durham, a consultant social work practitioner, describes his original research undertaken with young men close to or in the midst of adolescence. The book features extensive narrative, as the life story approach taken allows the young men to theorise their own experience and to understand how and why child sexual abuse has had a harmful and long lasting impact on their day-to-day lives. Alongside the research stories the author presents a theoretical framework for understanding male sexual abuse, as well as a wide range of accessible practice materials. This book will be invaluable to those working with children and young people who are recovering from child sexual abuse.
