Book excerpt: Nick Ortner, founder of the Tapping World Summit and best-selling filmmaker of The Tapping Solution, is at the forefront of a new healing movement. In his upcoming book, The Tapping Solution, he gives readers everything they need to successfully start using the powerful practice of tapping – or Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). Tapping is one of the fastest and easiest ways to address both the emotional and physical problems that tend to hamper our lives. Using the energy meridians of the body, practitioners tap on specific points while focusing on particular negative emotions or physical sensations. The tapping helps calm the nervous system to restore the balance of energy in the body, and in turn rewire the brain to respond in healthy ways. This kind of conditioning can help rid practitioners of everything from chronic pain to phobias to addictions. Because of tapping’s proven success in healing such a variety of problems, Ortner recommends to try it on any challenging issue. In The Tapping Solution, Ortner describes not only the history and science of tapping but also the practical applications. In a friendly voice, he lays out easy-to-use practices, diagrams, and worksheets that will teach readers, step-by-step, how to tap on a variety of issues. With chapters covering everything from the alleviation of pain to the encouragement of weight loss to fostering better relationships, Ortner opens readers’ eyes to just how powerful this practice can be. Throughout the book, readers will see real-life stories of healing ranging from easing the pain of fibromyalgia to overcoming a fear of flying. The simple strategies Ortner outlines will help readers release their fears and clear the limiting beliefs that hold them back from creating the life they want.

Book Parosmia

  • Release : 2021-08-25

  • Pages : 32 pages

Download or read book Parosmia written by Vishen R. Kohler and published by . This book was released on 2021-08-25 with total page 32 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: You are suffering from parosmia and you don't know how to manage it. The smell of the food is disturbing, sometimes you can't eat because your sense of smell is altered. You feel like vomiting when you have a meal with bad odor or taste. In some cases people lose their appetite, they loose weight and suffer from malnutrition. It's hard to find someone who understands what you're going through...you feel alone in this fight! What is parosmia? Parosmia, also called smell hallucinations, is a disorder that causes the sufferer to experience strange smells. It can happen at any time and without warning. The most common symptom of this condition is known as phantosmia or phantom odor sensation. When you have this type of hallucination, you will perceive an unpleasant smell that isn't really there. This distressing phenomenon can be triggered by many factors: strong odors in your environment; nasal congestion due to allergies or illness; or even as a side effect from taking medications such as antidepressants, antipsychotics and sedatives. However, since we have been through the Covid-19, the symptoms of parosmia became more similar to those for other forms of olfactory dysfunction such as anosmia (lack of smell) and hyposmia (reduced ability to detect odors), including burning sensations in the nose, increased mucus production, sinus congestion, sneezing, coughing and pain when swallowing because strong smells may irritate the throat. So many people are experiencing similar sensory disruptions because of COVID (congenital olfactory neuropathy). While those who don't have this condition may find it difficult or impossible to understand what life is like when someone can't taste anything, luckily we do know how impactful it's been in our personal lives so far and want make sure others can keep eating well until their senses return back or go away completely.
