Book Radar Imaging and Holography

Download or read book Radar Imaging and Holography written by Alexander Ya Pasmurov and published by IET. This book was released on 2005-12-21 with total page 269 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Increasing information content is an important scientific problem in modern observation systems development. Radar, or microwave, imaging can be used for this purpose. The book provides an overview of the field and explains why a unified approach based on wave field processing techniques, including holographic and tomographic approaches, is necessary in high resolution radar design. It contains discussion of new areas in imaging radar theory, holographic radar, the questions of estimation and improving radar image quality, and finally various practical applications.

Book Synthetic Aperture Radar Imaging Mechanism for Oil Spills

Download or read book Synthetic Aperture Radar Imaging Mechanism for Oil Spills written by Maged Marghany and published by Gulf Professional Publishing. This book was released on 2019-08-21 with total page 322 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Synthetic Aperture Radar Imaging Mechanism for Oil Spills delivers the critical tool needed to understand the latest technology in radar imaging of oil spills, particularly microwave radar as a main source to understand analysis and applications in the field of marine pollution. Filling the gap between modern physics quantum theory and applications of radar imaging of oil spills, this reference is packed with technical details associated with the potentiality of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and the key methods used to extract the value-added information necessary, such as location, size, perimeter and chemical details of the oil slick from SAR measurements. Rounding out with practical simulation trajectory movements of oil spills using radar images, this book brings an effective new source of technology and applications for today’s oil and marine pollution engineers. Bridges the gap between theory and application of the techniques involving oil spill monitoring Helps readers understand a new approach to four-dimensional automatic detection Provides advanced knowledge on image processing based on intelligent learning machine algorithms and new techniques for detection, such as quantum and multi-objective algorithms

Book Synthetic Aperture Radar Simulation

Download or read book Synthetic Aperture Radar Simulation written by N. Szabo and published by . This book was released on 1983 with total page 6 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: During the 1980's, a new generation of airborne radar systems will become operational. These radars will have a number of new capabilities, but their synthetic apertures will have the greatest impact on simulation of the system since they provide a tenfold increase in resolution. Increased radar landmass simulator resolution is not the only problem implied by this increase. In particular, the sparsity of the DMA data bases presents a challenge in the generation of realistic images. Other new requirements include the simulation of anomalies caused by the Doppler mapping. For the last two years, Link has conducted an R & D program to explore the requirements of these new generation radars. This paper reports on the results. (Author).
