Book The Elements of Racial Education

Download or read book The Elements of Racial Education written by Julius Evola and published by Cariou Publishng. This book was released on 2022-02-10 with total page 91 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The title of this small volume expresses clearly our intentions regarding its form and its purpose... Our task in this small volume... aims to clarify the ideas — we may say the ‘key ideas’ — needed in order for the educator to carry out, with respect to racism, too, his true task. Simple notions, but clear and suffused with suggestive force, able to act on the souls of the young people rather than on their intellects, so as to promote a certain formation of their will and a certain orientation of their best vocations... The educator must bear in mind, in this connection, the essentially political and ethical value which the theory of race must have in Fascism, and thus in the Fascist school. He must understand fully that the ‘race’ in question is something very different from the one of which biology and anthropology spoke until very recently. Our racism goes far beyond the limits of such disciplines, which are, in fact, basically, in their most common, positivistic, and scientistic formulations, in sharp contrast with the true racist idea. True racism is a frame of mind rather than a specialised discipline: its influence thus extends to fields which, according to general opinion, and especially that of the so-called ‘intellectuals’, would seem to have nothing to do with problems of this kind... Here we speak about the formation of a mentality and of a sensibility, not of intellectual schemes or of classifications of natural science... It is to this end that we have written this small volume, in which we will present in the most vivid and direct manner the fundamental essence of the ideas which integrate the racist orientation into the main issues of the ethics and the general world-view of Fascism

Book Race After Technology

Download or read book Race After Technology written by Ruha Benjamin and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2019-07-09 with total page 172 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From everyday apps to complex algorithms, Ruha Benjamin cuts through tech-industry hype to understand how emerging technologies can reinforce White supremacy and deepen social inequity. Benjamin argues that automation, far from being a sinister story of racist programmers scheming on the dark web, has the potential to hide, speed up, and deepen discrimination while appearing neutral and even benevolent when compared to the racism of a previous era. Presenting the concept of the “New Jim Code,” she shows how a range of discriminatory designs encode inequity by explicitly amplifying racial hierarchies; by ignoring but thereby replicating social divisions; or by aiming to fix racial bias but ultimately doing quite the opposite. Moreover, she makes a compelling case for race itself as a kind of technology, designed to stratify and sanctify social injustice in the architecture of everyday life. This illuminating guide provides conceptual tools for decoding tech promises with sociologically informed skepticism. In doing so, it challenges us to question not only the technologies we are sold but also the ones we ourselves manufacture. Visit the book's free Discussion Guide here.

Book The Path of Cinnabar

Download or read book The Path of Cinnabar written by Julius Evola and published by Arktos. This book was released on 2009 with total page 304 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Julius Evola was a renowned Dadaist artist, Idealist philosopher, critic of politics and Fascism, 'mystic, ' anti-modernist, and scholar of world religions. Evola was all of these things, but he saw each of them as no more than stops along the path to life's true goal: the realisation of oneself as a truly absolute and free individual living one's life in accordance with the eternal doctrines of the Primordial Tradition. Much more than an autobiography, The Cinnabar Path in describing the course of Evola's life illuminates how the traditionally-oriented individual might avoid the many pitfalls awaiting him in the modern world. More a record of Evola's thought process than a recitation of biographical facts, one will here find the distilled essence of a lifetime spent in pursuit of wisdom, in what is surely one of his most important works.

Purchasers can usually download a free scanned copy of the original book (without typos) from the publisher. Not indexed. Not illustrated. 1893 edition. Excerpt: ...We of the present times call an age a "century." They of Plato's day, the initiated writers, at any rate, by a millennium meant not 1,000 but 100,000 years; while the Hindus, more independent than any, have never concealed their chronology. Thus, for 9,000 years, the Initiates will read 900,000 years, during which space of time--i.e., from the first appearance of the Aryan Race, when the Pliocene portions of the once great Atlantis began gradually sinking and other continents to appear on the surface, down to the final disappearance of Plato's small island of Atlantis A.--the Aryan races had never ceased to fight with the descendants of the first giant races. This war lasted till nearly the close of the age which preceded the Kali Yuga, and was the Mahabharata, or Great War, so famous in Indian history. Such blending of events and epochs, and the bringing down of hundreds of thousands into thousands of years, does not interfere with the numbers of years that have elapsed, according to the statement made by the Egyptian priests to Solon, since the destruction of the last portion of Atlantis. The 9,000 years were the correct figures. The latter event had never been kept a secret, and had only faded out of the memory of the Greeks. The Egyptians had their records complete, because of their isolation; being surrounded by sea and desert, they had been left untrammelled by other nations, till about a few millenniums before our era. History catches a glimpse of Egypt and its great Mysteries for the first time through Herodotus, if we do not take into account the Bible, and its queer chronology And how little Herodotus could tell is confessed by himself when, speaking of a mysterious tomb of an Initiate at Sals, in the sacred precinct...

Book Between Occultism and Nazism

Download or read book Between Occultism and Nazism written by Peter Staudenmaier and published by BRILL. This book was released on 2014-04-03 with total page 420 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The relationship between Nazism and occultism has been an object of fascination and speculation for decades. Peter Staudenmaier’s Between Occultism and Nazism provides a detailed historical examination centered on the anthroposophist movement founded by Rudolf Steiner. Its surprising findings reveal a remarkable level of Nazi support for Waldorf schools, biodynamic farming, and other anthroposophist initiatives, even as Nazi officials attempted to suppress occult tendencies. The book also includes an analysis of anthroposophist involvement in the racial policies of Fascist Italy. Based on extensive archival research, this study offers rich material on controversial questions about the nature of esoteric spirituality and alternative cultural ideals and their political resonance.

Book The Myth of the Blood The Genesis of Racialism

Download or read book The Myth of the Blood The Genesis of Racialism written by Julius Evola and published by Arktos Media Limited. This book was released on 2018-05-14 with total page 240 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Written during the rule of National Socialism in Germany and the rise of the so-called Racial Laws in Fascist Italy, The Myth of the Blood offers a unique window into the historical origins of the racialist thought that so fatefully characterized an era. More than a study of history, however, The Myth of the Blood is a magisterial overview of the problem of human race itself, by one of the great thinkers of the past century, the traditionalist philosopher Julius Evola. This book traces the development of the concept of race from antiquity to contemporary times, proceeding through historical, mythical, scientific, and philosophical perspectives, keenly dissecting the thought of the foremost theoreticians in the field of race studies. The result is an unmatched analysis of a notoriously difficult issue, undertaken with an admirable mixture of fearlessness, fairness, and erudition. In a day of growing questions, controversies, and doubts surrounding the nature and meaning of human race, Evola's reflections are as timely now as they were on the day of their publication.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Please note: This is a companion version & not the original book. Sample Book Insights: #1 Critical Race Theory is a movement pushed by activists and scholars interested in studying and transforming the relationship among race, racism, and power. It is not interested in simply understanding the world, but in changing it so that it conforms to its vision of power dynamics. #2 Despite how clear it is, it is still controversial to accuse Critical Race Theory of being a Marxian Theory. However, the evidence is overwhelming. #3 Critical Race Theory is a form of race Marxism that replaces class with race in order to understand inequality. It believes that the economic inequality classical Marxian Theorists are interested in is not comprehensible without seeing it as another manifestation of systemic racism. #4 Critical Race Theory is a theory that was developed to shift leftist politics away from economic concerns and toward the politics of identity. It was developed by neo-Marxist and Critical Theorists Herbert Marcuse in the 1960s, and it has been used to push Identity Politics in universities ever since.

This doctrine worked as the basis of the Italian Fascist Party and influenced numerous fascist movements and individuals that followed. "Fascism, the more it considers and observes the future and the development of humanity quite apart from political considerations of the moment, believes neither in the possibility nor the utility of perpetual peace. It thus repudiates the doctrine of Pacifism - born of a renunciation of the struggle and an act of cowardice in the face of sacrifice. War alone brings up to its highest tension all human energy and puts the stamp of nobility upon the peoples who have courage to meet it." -Mussolini

This reader, edited by the principal founders and leading theoreticians of the critical race theory movement, gathers together for the first time the movement's most important essays.
