Book Synthesis and Characterization of Novel Conjugated Materials for Organic Electronics

Download or read book Synthesis and Characterization of Novel Conjugated Materials for Organic Electronics written by Toan Van Pho and published by . This book was released on 2012 with total page 139 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Shaping new materials that are tailored to meet the specific electronic, chemical, and physical demands in their applications - this is the role of the materials chemist. Although the field of organic electronics has witnessed significant advances since its inception, the toolkit of efficacious materials has been entrusted to a few choice molecular platforms. In an effort to expand this limited library of compounds, new materials based on various polycyclic hydrocarbons have been synthesized and characterized. The pigment quinacridone was incorporated into water/alcohol-soluble electron transport layers that were deposited on top of existing organic-soluble active layers in organic light-emitting diodes and organic photovoltaics, thereby enhancing the transport of electrons and hence the device efficiencies. A strained polycyclic hydrocarbon, decacyclene, was functionalized with three imidegroups to generate a new class of non-fullerene acceptors for organic photovoltaics. A heteroheptacene, dinaphthocarbazole, was characterized for its hole transporting properties in organic field-effect transistors. Finally, various substituted imidazolium-based ionic liquids were synthesized and characterized for their potential use as organic electrolytes in lithium batteries.

Book Chemistry for Electronic Materials

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The chemical aspects of materials processing used for electronic applications, e.g. Si, III-V compounds, superconductors, metallization materials, are covered in this volume. Significant recent advances have occurred in the development of new volatile precursors for the fabrication of III-V semiconductor and metal [Cu, W] films by OMCVD. Some fundamentally new and wide-ranging applications have been introduced in recent times. Experimental and modeling studies regarding deposition kinetics, operating conditions and transport as well as properties of films produced by PVD, CVD and PECVD are discussed. The thirty papers in this volume report on many other significant topics also. Research workers involved in these aspects of materials technology may find here some new perspectives with which to augment their projects.

Book Electronic Materials The Oligomer Approach

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Electroactive oligomers form an important class of advanced materials for the development of new devices such as thin-film, flexible batteries; semiconductors; large-area optical displays; and sensors. In addition, the study of oligomeric model compounds is an essential prerequisite for understanding and developing polymers for electronics and optoelectronics applications. Written and edited by leading scientists in the field, this applications-oriented handbook represents the first comprehensive, systematic study of electroactive oligomeric materials. Special emphasis is placed on a critical review of the literature; relevant materials and technical data are collected in tables throughout. Includes - materials synthesis - structure--property relationship as a function of chain-length - applications in optics and electronics - oligomers as models for polymers - the role of oligomers in tomorrow's technology? Electronic Materials - The Oligomer Approach offers a stimulating combination of basic concepts and practical applications. It is sure to become a standard reference source that no-one working in the field can do without.

Book Growth And Characterization Of Semiconductor Nanostructure For Device Applications

Download or read book Growth And Characterization Of Semiconductor Nanostructure For Device Applications written by Dr. Jehova Jire L. Hmar and published by BFC Publications. This book was released on 2023-03-04 with total page 123 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is intended to provide knowledge for students and learners in the field of nanoscale science and nanotechnology. Nanotechnology is design, fabrication and application of nanostructures or nanomaterials, and the fundamental understanding of the relationships between physical properties or phenomena and material dimensions. Nanotechnology deals with materials or structures in nanometer scales, typically ranging from subnanometers to several hundred nanometers. Nanotechnology is a new field or a new scientific domain. Similar to quantum mechanics, on nanometer scale, materials or structures may possess new physical properties or exhibit new physical phenomena. Nanotechnology has an extremely broad range of potential applications from nanoscale electronics and optics and therefore it requires formation of and contribution from multidisciplinary teams of physicists, chemists, materials scientists and engineers. The aim of this book “Growth and Characterization of Semiconductor Nanostructure for Device Applications” is to summarize the fundamentals and established techniques of synthesis, fabrication, characterization and applications of nanomaterials and nanostructures so as to provide readers a systematic and coherent picture about synthesis, fabrication and characterization of nanomaterials.
