Super characteristic values exist only when the related super matrices are super square diagonal super matrices.Super diagonalization, analogous to diagonalization is obtained. These newly introduced structures can be applied to Computer Sciences, Markov Chains, and Fuzzy Models.

Book The Chinese Roots of Linear Algebra

Download or read book The Chinese Roots of Linear Algebra written by Roger Hart and published by JHU Press. This book was released on 2011-01-01 with total page 304 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A monumental accomplishment in the history of non-Western mathematics, The Chinese Roots of Linear Algebra explains the fundamentally visual way Chinese mathematicians understood and solved mathematical problems. It argues convincingly that what the West "discovered" in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries had already been known to the Chinese for 1,000 years. Accomplished historian and Chinese-language scholar Roger Hart examines Nine Chapters of Mathematical Arts—the classic ancient Chinese mathematics text—and the arcane art of fangcheng, one of the most significant branches of mathematics in Imperial China. Practiced between the first and seventeenth centuries by anonymous and most likely illiterate adepts, fangcheng involves manipulating counting rods on a counting board. It is essentially equivalent to the solution of systems of N equations in N unknowns in modern algebra, and its practice, Hart reveals, was visual and algorithmic. Fangcheng practitioners viewed problems in two dimensions as an array of numbers across counting boards. By "cross multiplying" these, they derived solutions of systems of linear equations that are not found in ancient Greek or early European mathematics. Doing so within a column equates to Gaussian elimination, while the same operation among individual entries produces determinantal-style solutions. Mathematicians and historians of mathematics and science will find in The Chinese Roots of Linear Algebra new ways to conceptualize the intellectual development of linear algebra.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "This book provides a rigorous and thorough development of linear algebra at an advanced level, and is directed at graduate students and professional mathematicians. Book Set Linear Algebra and Set Fuzzy Linear Algebra

Download or read book Set Linear Algebra and Set Fuzzy Linear Algebra written by W. B. Vasantha Kandasamy and published by Infinite Study. This book was released on 2008 with total page 346 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Set linear algebras, introduced by the authors in this book, are the most generalized form of linear algebras. These structures make use of very few algebraic operations and are easily accessible to non-mathematicians as well. The dominance of computers in everyday life calls for a paradigm shift in the concepts of linear algebra. The authors believe that set linear algebra will cater to that need.

Book Fundamentals of Linear Algebra

Download or read book Fundamentals of Linear Algebra written by J.S. Chahal and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2018-12-07 with total page 133 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Fundamentals of Linear Algebra is like no other book on the subject. By following a natural and unified approach to the subject it has, in less than 250 pages, achieved a more complete coverage of the subject than books with more than twice as many pages. For example, the textbooks in use in the United States prove the existence of a basis only for finite dimensional vector spaces. This book proves it for any given vector space. With his experience in algebraic geometry and commutative algebra, the author defines the dimension of a vector space as its Krull dimension. By doing so, most of the facts about bases when the dimension is finite, are trivial consequences of this definition. To name one, the replacement theorem is no longer needed. It becomes obvious that any two bases of a finite dimensional vector space contain the same number of vectors. Moreover, this definition of the dimension works equally well when the geometric objects are nonlinear. Features: Presents theories and applications in an attempt to raise expectations and outcomes The subject of linear algebra is presented over arbitrary fields Includes many non-trivial examples which address real-world problems About the Author: Dr. J.S. Chahal is a professor of mathematics at Brigham Young University. He received his Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University and after spending a couple of years at the University of Wisconsin as a post doc, he joined Brigham Young University as an assistant professor and has been there ever since. He specializes and has published a number of papers about number theory. For hobbies, he likes to travel and hike, the reason he accepted the position at Brigham Young University

Book Linear Algebra and Smarandache Linear Algebra

Download or read book Linear Algebra and Smarandache Linear Algebra written by W. B. Vasantha Kandasamy and published by Infinite Study. This book was released on 2003 with total page 175 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this book the author analyzes the Smarandache linear algebra, and introduces several other concepts like the Smarandache semilinear algebra, Smarandache bilinear algebra and Smarandache anti-linear algebra. We indicate that Smarandache vector spaces of type II will be used in the study of neutrosophic logic and its applications to Markov chains and Leontief Economic models ? both of these research topics have intense industrial applications. The Smarandache linear algebra, is defined to be a Smarandache vector space of type II, on which there is an additional operation called product, such that for all a, b in V, ab is in V.The Smarandache vector space of type II is defined to be a module V defined over a Smarandache ring R such that V is a vector space over a proper subset k of R, where k is a field.

Book Linear Algebra Problem Book

Download or read book Linear Algebra Problem Book written by Paul R. Halmos and published by American Mathematical Soc.. This book was released on 1995-12-31 with total page 333 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Linear Algebra Problem Book can be either the main course or the dessert for someone who needs linear algebraand today that means every user of mathematics. It can be used as the basis of either an official course or a program of private study. If used as a course, the book can stand by itself, or if so desired, it can be stirred in with a standard linear algebra course as the seasoning that provides the interest, the challenge, and the motivation that is needed by experienced scholars as much as by beginning students. The best way to learn is to do, and the purpose of this book is to get the reader to DO linear algebra. The approach is Socratic: first ask a question, then give a hint (if necessary), then, finally, for security and completeness, provide the detailed answer.
